Members often post messages "In Character" (IC) expressing views as their avatar characters would express them. While we encourage freedom of expression, we will not tolerate excessive or hostile profanity, hate speech, or any material we deem pornographic or inappropriately violent. As a guideline, we would encourage all material posted to The NCD to be appropriate for a child of at least 13 years of age.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use The NCD to post any material (outside of a fictional context) which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, hateful, harassing, obscene, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyrighted material is owned by you. Although we do not and cannot review the messages posted and are not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we reserve the right to delete any message for any reason whatsoever. We reserve the right to preserve online the content of any message posted publicly in order to maintain the historic continuity of The NCD. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).We reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.
