The Rules for inclusion are as follows:

1.) The location must exist in at least one thread in the dream (both 'home' threads and 'RP' threads are acceptable for this.)

2.) The location must either be part of the original map, or be posted in the MAPPING ADDITIONS thread. You must include a link to at least one thread the location appears in to be included.

3.) The maintaining avatar of any home threads must have at least 50 posts as of April 30,2002 or be a Psychedelic Avatar.

1) The name of the new location
'Porter's Landing'

2) A description of the location.
'Deep in a stand of evergreen trees, stands a pair of clearings. Each clearing appears to be about 100 feet across, carpeted in wildflowers and native grasses. The location is near the timberline on the slopes of a snow capped mountain, which is visible from the clearings. Though the air is brisk, there is no snow here at this time. The clearings are roughly halfway to the summit, at about 5500 feet elevation.'

You may or may not see a vehicle in the clearing, an inteplanetary shuttle named "Porter's Bark". If present, it is described as a boxy, light blue orbital shuttle, about 60 feet long, 40 feet wide and a little under 20 feet high. It has one airlock on the starboard side, above the engine nacelle, accessed by an extendable set of metal stairs. There is a small keypad featuring a prominent red button to the right of the airlock. There is also a large cargo hatch on the stern, though there is no apparent way to open it. The shuttle's name (and a decorative picture) is painted on both sides of the bow, below the bridge window.

If the shuttle isn't there (IE, no active posts recently), Porter may have his ship's defensive screens up. See the "Porter's Bark (Intro)" thread (link is in my sinature) for details on the portal screens and what effects they cause.

Try calling out "Hello?" loudly. (and PM Porter to get his attention). The ship will either appear (shields off) or land (if he was elswhere), or Porter will open a portal for you, to wherever he is at the moment.

'Porter'

5) Its general location within the current map.
Tentatively to the East of 'Spect's lake, roughly the East edge of C2 on the map. Could be anywhere in the North, where there is a tall, snow capped mountain and the timberline edge of evergreen forests. Not too picky on where it gets put, beyond that.

6) Optional: A link to a sample graphic or reference pic for what the location looks like.

* Kei Kittora's Home
* Hukuzakura Island
* Located near Khain's home 8 miles off the mainland. Is connected to the mainland by a teleportaion device planted in the ground of both the mainland and island beaches.
* The island is a tropical island with an enormous Japanese weeping Cherry tree in the center of the island at the base of the tallest mountain. In the tree is Kei's rather large treehouse home.
