I'll say what Dork Lord can't.....

Thanks... that is majorly cool..

Will he ever become ethical and see the error of his ways?
I sereously doupt it....
Anythings posable but Dork Lord is so sure of himself and who and what he is there isn't much flexability.
Sure he'll do the "hero thing" but he is no Hollis... To him it's just the rules to a greater game... money is for keeping score...

::Turns to see Dork Lord returning to the world of the living. He is surprised and pleased to see an old acquaintance back from the dead, and this is apparent on his face:: Welcome back, Dork Lord. Good to see you up and around. ::Looks up at the night sky, amazed at the power of the Napping Cat::

Ah! Dork Lord, you are back! How exciting!

And professional appearance totally kicks.

*presents a rose for the Dork Lord*

For you, sir. Welcome back.

Furilius: Your advertising is convincing. Maybe I would draw a picture of myself soon. ^-^

Nifty! A resurrection just in time for Easter.

Furilius, I'll put in my order for a signature card. I don't have sketch, but I'm a human (er - god?) with shades and remaining gray hair pulled back in a long pony tail). Heck give me a tie-dyed shirt if you can do it. You can have me kicking back at my computer with a laid back grin. You can even have me smokin' a ... er maybe not.

::Steps OOC:: I'd like to put in an order as well, but I am currently unable to send a sketch of myself. In light of this, I'll save some money so that I'll be able to buy a scanner, and thus send a picture of myself to you guys. In the meanwhile, I'll keep posting here, so I can contribute to the adventure. Avatar or not, I enjoy being able to take part in such a dream.

P.S. ::Steps OOC for a moment:: All of my posts will be in character from now on, unless I state otherwise

P.S.S. ::Back in character:: Well, the new Message Board has rolled around, and I must say, I'm satisfied with the changes. ::Looks at Wendy:: Well, at least it's not that bar/cantina, like you'd feared. What do you think of the changes?

Kinkos will scan stuff for you...
You don't need to buy a scanner just for this....
Now if you plan to scan art in on a semi-regular basis then a scanner is a very good investment...

I love the new signature cards. I was getting tired of having to re-project myself every time I wanted to post. I can even project my words much easier now with the card. Furilius definitely has a knack for some things, I'll say that.

Glad to see Dork Lord back too. I don't know exactly how that all happened, but Furilius obviously knows much more than I do about manipulating the forces around here.
And that worries me a little.

P.S. - Sovan's description of this place is beautiful. I hope it stays on the home page for a while!

I must admit, the possibilities of what Furlius could do with that kind of power does make me a tad nervous, however, I have a hunch that the Interdimensional Salesfox wasn't alone when he brought Dork Lord back from the dead. I have a feeling that the Napping Cat may have had something to do with it as well.
This may or may not be the truth. It's just a guess I'm making.

I think it is very, very cool that you brought
Dork Lord back. It makes me happy to see how
personal and almost familial the tone has been
around here lately.
I had thought Jeffery was being a bit hasty offing Dork Lord so suddenly, and you went
about bringing him back in the smoothest way
possible. Plus you brought a whole new feature to the MMB, and got everyone's moral up!
I hope to see more avatars (psychedelic or otherwise) in the future...

"...a resurrection in time for Easter..."
Cruiser, you slay me dude, too funny!

Have a great Day everyone!

Dork Lord: The rose in this case is a sign of friendship and happiness.

I'd give everyone a rose...but I don't have a garden to pluck them from, and they are rather exspensive.

I am working on my picture. Insomnia gives me too much free time at 2 in the morning. The only thing is I need webspace upload it to, and I'm not really sure where to go for that.

ATTENTION ALL VISITORS!

Those who would like signature cards, but cannot upload images, may simply e-mail their sketches or written descriptions to the The Napping Cat's webmaster minion and the dreamers will work their transformative magic and re-invision your character as a Psychedelic Avatar. (If you would like your illustration to remain essentially unaltered, and just framed, please make that clear).

If you are sending a written description, please be as detailed as possible about species, hair, clothes, jewelry, weapons, colors, pose, facial expression etc. If you are an animal, to what degree do you resemble an earth animal or a more humanoid furry?

E-mail character sketches/descriptions to
webmaster@masterzdm.com

Gods can place art on http://www.side7.com/
and can get art scanned in by http://www.kinkos.com/

I don't see a problem...

But then I'm not a god so what do I know...

It appears Sovan Kawasagi was correct when he said:
quote:
I have a feeling that the Napping Cat may have had something to do with it as well.

People often misattribute us business types with powers we ourselfs don't have.
Our power is in the deal. I usually do more work than most but in the end I'm not much different than Furilius.
I just arrange the deal.

As the evil singing napping cat* once said to me...
"I've got the brains you got the brawn let's make lot's of money"
thats the deal folks. I have an idea and grab the can do men.

I'm impressed... doing a deal with the Napping cat.. Now thats a powerful busyness partner.

Hmmm...the song I remember ("Opportunity" by The Pet Shop Boys)went "I got the brains, you got the LOOKS, let's make lots of money" What song are you quoting Dork Lord? Not that it matters. I believe that the original expression was "I've got the brains you've got the brawn", I just don't know which song uses that line.

Apparently not since side7.com says:
"Until our new site is complete, Side 7 has temporarily closed down new account applications. We will again reopen our new account applications after we launch our new site."

I would like to post my own work around here before anything else happens, and maybe I could get bored and do some fan art sometime later.
Oh well, I can just send my picture to the webmaster minion around here.

*yawns* Not like it matters if he gets it done in any great hurry. I'm leaving Friday and won't be back until next Saturaday. The action around here will be greatly missed.

Hey, Cruiser!
That song would go through my head
EVERY time Dork Lord would say it.
I knew it was an old Pet Shop Boys tune,
but I couldn't remember the name, seeing
as how I'm not much into the Pet Shop Boys.

"...I've got the brains...
you've got the looks...
let's maaake lotsa moooooneeeeeey..."

So, if you're an avatar-in-waiting, are
you gonna be a human avatar? Can we do that?
'Cuz that'd be cool... I'd go for it then.
I mean, like I've posted before, I AM a character. (and so are you - from what you've described, you sound like the old
hippies that live in the hills above Santa
Cruz, CA - I could picture your avatar card
perfectly.) So I don't see why not. Whatever.
Lemme know what you think...

later daze.

Although we are understandably partial to furries, we do not discriminate against any avatar, regardless of race, creed, color, species, moral alignment, dimension of origin or degree of enlightenment.

So yes, gods may manifest themselves as Psychedelic Avatars in human form.

Bong Tzu, you are not only welcome, but encouraged to submit a written description, rough sketch, or final illustration, and your signature card will be ready within a week.

He's getting the lyrics swapped about...

First verse goes:

"I've got the brains...you've got the looks...let's make lots of money..."

Second verse goes:

"You've got the brawn...I've got the brains...let's make lots of money..."

My first copy of that single got played so many times that my record player almost can't play it without skipping- I can still hear the notes hauntingly within my head even before my ears heard it again as I pulled the music onto my cyber systems...

Dork Lord's constant reference to the song brings back old memories of past lives- grandiose dreams that faded into the regrets of years gone by. A time I blindly sought the power that wealth brings- never once heeding the pain that I caused myself and others about me in the seeking of it.
