The Gallant Burrow

At Makai's Hollow, the entrance to a burrow is now visible beneath a great oak tree. Every now and then, a ferret pops its head out of the burrow. One is cream white colored and the other, brown with a trace of white around the muzzle. After a few minutes, they both come trotting out of the burrow. It's now quite obvious that it's Rein and Makai finishing up their burrow. A sign is hung near the entrance by Rein while Makai trots inside:Welcome to the Gallant burrow, the new home for Makai and Rein Gallant. Feel free to stop by and ask a few questions.

Hi you guys! How long did it take for you to make the burrow? How deep is it? How many rooms does it have? Does it have any rooms for "additions" to the family? Why is it the Gallant burrow, and not Sharper?

::Looks back from hanging up the sign::"Oh, hey Kira. Actually, it only took me a day to dig the burrow. Makai helped of course... but then I added a little furniture to the place as well. A few beds, some bookshelves, and a table to eat and talk at. I'd invite you in... but... I have a feeling that size won't permit that. How deep? Ummm... not too deep. Maybe a few feet at most. The roots of the tree serve as a nice ceiling." ::Clears his throat really quick, having a bit of dust still in there:: "It has... let's see." ::Counts the rooms over in his mind:: "It has a total of six rooms. And... uh, yeah... I guess you could say that we have room for 'additions' to the family... two spare bedrooms. There's also a place that'll serve as a study near the entrance. Then there's the kitchen and, of course, just the main area where the table is." ::Listens to the last question and smiles:: "Well... Sharper is still my name... however, as is part of my culture, Makai and I decided on our joined name. Gallant was what we came up with. We're still free to use our original names at will... but this is our joined name."

A joint name, I see! I wonder if/when I get married if my guy will want to have a joint name... I wonder what it'd be..::Starts to laugh:: Marry me! Ha! Good joke! Too bad I'm the one who came up with it. Oh, before I forget... ::She seems to pull something out of her ball of water. It's a large album... a photo album, and there are already pictures in there! There are random pictures of Rein and Makai. Rein with some of the stolen objects, Makai making plants grow. There's even Rein with pie in his face, and the two of them slow dancing together:: Consider this a belated wedding gift. And if you're wondering how I got the pictures, well, let's just say Voda here has a "photographic" memory!

A tall thin black door opens perhaps a yard away from the burrow and Methos steps a little nervously through.
He holds in his hands a teracota pot with a strange plant in it.
"The things you miss when you are in the dreaming! Congratulations Mr and Mrs. Gallant? Sharper?...Ummm I brought you a little something...house er burrow warming gift I guess at this point. He knees down so that he is not so far out of reach and sets the pot on the ground...
"Its not as nice and sentamental as Kira's gift...but..."
The plant in the pot looks almost like a Snow Drop and on a druidic level it feals like one as well...however looking closer you can see that its made some kind of crystal. The leaves chime lightly in the brease and the flower rings like a crystal bell and sheds gold dust pollen. As Methos withdraws his hands you can see that his white hands are well poudered with the Gold Dust...
"Um, I found it in the dreaming, and thought that you might like it...it should rather like being in the presance of a Druid and was prise in a theiving dream that was never finished...so...well...I thought that Maby Rein would like the gold dust part..." He smiles nervously..."I guess I better get back though...there is no chance in the deaming that I could ever fit in there and I am trying to figure out a house of my own...
Stands kind of creekily and bows...

A package arrives at the burrow's door. A letter from Brahma is attached:"My apologies for the late wedding gift, even though for you, it was not as long as it was for me. When I returned to your home dimension, I found out you two had been mated, so I looked for a proper gift in the chance I should ever make my way back to the Dream. I would like for you both to have these." Opening the package, there are two necklaces, each with a beautiful silver Ankh pendant.

Jason comes walking up, carrying a giftwrapped box in both arms. "Hey there! Sorry I missed the wedding, but here's a combined wedding and housewarming present." He pulls the ribbon, and the sides and top fall away, revealing a computer scaled to fit the burrow. "I hope you two enjoy it. It's set up to be incredibly easy to operate, but if you need help, just press the green button. It'll give me a call, and I'll come over and troubleshoot."

Makai smiles at all the friends that have gathered."Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by!" She turns to Kira. "Oh wow, that is neat! Photographs are so rare where I come from.. usually only the Otters can make them! Thank you!" She gives Kira a big hug and whispers in her ear, "Don't worry about getting married, it'll happen!" She grins. "You and Ende were sure hitting it off at the Ball," she giggles, and smiles at her. She steps over to Methos, looking at the plant. "Oh... wow... it's beautiful! Thank you!" She touches it, listening to it chime. "So beautiful..." she sighs happily, listeing to the wind continue to blow it about. She hugs him as well, much thanks apparent in her eyes. Stepping back, she looks over at L Miner. "Oh, I dunno, how about something with adventure and a bit of romance? Something to please both our tastes," she smiles, and huggles Rein. Upon opening the package and seeing the necklaces, her eyes get a bit teary. "They're wonderful... remind me to tell Brahma thank you for them." She puts one around her neck, admiring it in the light. She walks over and inspects the computer. "Wow.. is this like the thing you use to find information on stuff? Wow... " she looks it over in awe, then giggles. "I think we'll be needing that green button.. though I'm sure Rein can figure out how to work it." She smiles at Rein, then turns to Jason. "Thank you!" She looks at the whole group. "Thank you very much! They are all beautiful gifts, and I will treasure them.. always."

Once upon a white and winter day
There was a sparrow and a blue jayThe blue jay had loved the robin so red
His bind the sparrow got that in his head
One day the Robin was at her wits own end
So for her suitors she did finally send
Search all the land for the one truest thing
You shall have my heart and I your ring The Blue Jay had come back after thirty days
His prize a jewel bluer then any of the bays
"The owner a human who thought me a prince
I said her could jewel return me from whence
Now I give this prize to you
To show my feelings are true" The swallow took a year and a day
He returned, hurt in many a way The swallow gave his gift to their sight
A white rose petal frosted in the light
"I crossed the desert long and wide
Climbed mountains from side to side
But I traveled until I reached the peak

It is common but not on a mountain place

Shinatsukai comes over to see why everyone is gathered. He over hears the talk of marriage and housewarming gifts. He thinks about what would a couple of ferrets need. He remembers that others have new houses too. He then realizes the perfect gifts. He opens up the porthole with his cellphone and pulls out a few boxes with white wrapping paper. He walks over to group. "Hello all. I believe I have a couple of gifts for each of you new home owners here. Here's one for Jason, The Gallant couple, Kira,L. Miner, and for future homeowner, Methos. Open them up!!!'" He hands them to all the people mentioned and stands back with delight.

Inside Rein and Makai's box is a pair of cellphones. One is green and has a flower pattern on it, the other is a semi translucent white...it seems to change in the light."Great, do you like them? I have your numbers in mine already and mine is in yours."

Shinatsukai shakes his head. I should've been expecting this. He pulls out his cellphone and makes a call."Hi Jack...Yeah, it's me...Yo, I need some help here...I got somepeople cellphones and they don't know how to use them...Yeah...Ok...See you in a few...Bye." He hangs up the phone just as a porthole opens up and this well dressed Asian guy in all black steps out. Shinatsukai greets him. "Hey Jack. These are the people." He points to the ferrets. Jack looks, nods his head and pulls out his trainging guide. He proceeds to show the ferrets on how to work the phone, how to dial a number, how to access numbers, how to send text messages, how to change ringtones, and how to access voice mail. After about an hour of that, he gets up, nods to Shinatsukai and leaves back into the porthole.

::Her face is a little red from Makai's whisperings, but other than that pretends she said nothing of the sort. Sees the cellphones for Rein and Makai, and shakes her box::Let me guess... A new cellphone with a sea pattern of some sort on it, right? Well, all I can say is it better not have any songs from "The Little Mermaid" on it, or else I'll be rather upset.. ::Opens up the box, ripping the paper to shreds:: The Only way to open presents!

Kira rips open the box to see a cellphone with the exact description she gave except it has her theme song as the ringtone. The one by aqua."Hope you like it." Shinatsukai says while smiling.

::Blinks after receiving all the instructions. He feels like he's been holding his breath through the entire thing and then just let it out::"Oh... kay..." ::Turns to Methos at the request and hands him the instruction manual:: "Well they're... weird. Sounds like they'll be useful though." ::Gives Shin a shake of the hand (after changing into his larger form) to show his thanks. Suddenly a grin crosses his face as he watches Methos studying the manual. Pretending to take interest, he leans over near him, seeming to read it as well... until he slips Methos' cape off his back and quickly darts behind the tall tree, thinking "Boy that felt good!" to himself::
