Quicksilver Moon's Sparkling Charms

Quicksilver had just finished setting up her shop. A windchime with a moon and stars dangling at the ends was hung above the door to tell her when someone enters. Inside her shop the room is filled with boxes and displays of little charms for necklaces and bracelets. Quicksilver smiled to herself as she sat on a barstool at her counter, her head laying in her arms, as she waits patiently for someone to come look at her hand made charms and possibly buy one.

*Nyu peeks through the window. Moon...stars...charms...Nyu got curios and entered the door as it made some sounds. Nyu looks around in the shop and gets more excited as she walks in the stor deeper. But suddenly she stopped. A silver moon and a star pin that is together...she looks at it for a moment where she sees a small round gem in the center of the star. Nyu picks it up and stares at it for a while. Then she decides.*Excuse me...how much is this pin?

The windchime jingles, and an anthro skunkette in a purple sweater and black jeans is seen entering. She smiles at Quicksilver Moon."Hi! I've never seen this shop here before. These charms sure are pretty...." she whispers, staring at them.

The windchime jingles. Sibyl smiles at it."Hello. Don't suppose you have windchimes for sale, do you?"

  Suddenly a hawaiian pizza appears

Quicksilver leans over the counter and welcomes her first customers. Then she turns to Nyu.
"That one is one of my favorites! Isn't it beautiful? Created with light from the Moon and Stars, it posesses a deep power. I don't like asking much for my merchandise, how does $2.95 sound?" she says her. She thanks Miyuki for the compliment, then goes to help Sibyl.
"Actually, I do have some windchimes." She says as she folds her wings about her and a light appears, then unfolding her wings she reveals several wooden boxes of different sizes. Opening them she shows Sibyl a variety of windchimes, wooden chimes with leaf-like carvings on them, chimes with gems of red and blue and green, and some with different charms on the end like from stars to dragons to trees.
"I have many more windchimes over there," she points to the back wall where a great many different windchimes were hung on display. "Just let me know when you find something you like. They should have pricetags on them, but if they don't, just ask me and I'll try to come up with a reasonable price."
Quicksilver grinned brightly and returned to her stool behind the counter.

Miyuki smiles happily, looking around at all the merchandise. Then she turns to Quicksilver Moon. "Anou... excuse me.. but do you have anything that would be good for a..." she pauses, blushing. "....something good to give a boyfriend? Just as a token of love.." She continues blushing, and averts her eyes back to the charms.

*Nyu takes the exact amount of money out of her basket. She gives it to Quicksilver*Here! Have a nice day...visit my coffee shop sometime! We make quiet nice catnip tea! *Nyu pick up her pin and pins it in her hair. Nyu is satisfied by the look and smiles*

Quicksilver smiles and thanks Nyu, and turns again to Miyuki. She closes her eyes as in deep thought then smiles.
"Tell me...What sorts of things does this lucky young man of yours like? If he plays in a band or likes music..." She stretches out her hand and a box appears in it. She opens the box to reveal four charms-a guitar, a Treble cleff sign, a piano keyboard, and a pair of drumsticks. Then, setting the box aside, she puts her hand out and another box appears. "Or, if he's more into outdoor activities..."
She opens the box and dumps out more charms-A football, a football helmet, a baseball and bat, a soccer ball, a dirtbike, a skateboard, a pair of rollerblades, a snowboard, and many others.
"Or I also have a few charms that are in the shape of swords, dragons...even sharks or hawks if something along that line will do? Or I do take requests, if there is something that you might be able to come up with that you think he'd really like?"
She lowers her voice a little, "You know...I can forge a real sword here if you'd like. If you'd let me, I can take some power of your love and put it into a stone and set it into the sword, and if you'd like, I'll put an engraving in the sword for you. And since the stone would actually consist of your loves power, it would be extremely powerful in the hands of the one you love, and the one you love only...nobody else. Although I've never done it before, I don't know how well it will work out. But I've been practicing placing powers from other sources into these charms and stones, I'm sure it will work out."
She sits up and begins speaking clear again, "Anyway, whatever you decide, I'm sure you're boyfriend will love it."

Miyuki's eyes grow big in astonishment. "You can do that? Oh wow.... how much would something like that cost?" She looks extremely excited, her striped tail trembling anxiously.

Fantasy walks into the beautiful shop, and looks around. Firefly flew up to look at the chimes. "Don't touch anything" Fantasy warned. She looked around, until something caught her eye; a pair of golden earings. Upon closer inspection, she found them to be cat faces with small blue stones for eyes. 'I have to have those!' she thought. She smiled and her tail twitched expectantly as she asked "Um, exscuse me, but how much would these be?"

Yang walks in through the door, jumping slightly at the wind-chime noise. She looks up with wide eyes, and after discerning from whence the sound came, blushes, and looks nervously around the room. The nearest charm-rack gets her attention next, as she tries to hide her embarrassment.
She smiles upon finding a Yin-Yang charm mixed in with miscellany of others. Her expression quickly changes to one that suggests she's just remembered something.
Yang pulls a cloth sack out of thin air, and walks over to Quicksilver. Waiting until she is done with Miyuki, Yang nervously hands her the bag.
"Uhm, hi. I found these a long time ago, had someone excavate them for me, and I polished them." Upon taking the bag, Quicksilver's hand would fall towards the floor, because of massive weight she just picked up. Inside the bag are two stones, wrapped in double-sided velvet. One stone is of hemitite, the other of moonstone. Both are about soft-ball shaped, and slightly flat and elliptical. Yang looks at them, shrugging. "I was wondering, if it isn't beyond your clearly expert skills, if you could make something out of those for me." She looks at Quicksilver. "I kept meaning to find someone to make these into a Yin-Yang for me. Preferably set in silver. Charge whatever you want. Can you do this for me?" Yang waits hopefully for an answer.

Quicksilver shrugs at Miyuki's question. "I don't rightly know how much it would cost. I hate naming prices, I'm always afraid that I'm asking too much!" The wolf giggles then talks again, "You name your price and I'll see what I can do. And as for those earrings, those are...gold...stones for the eyes I got from a Mermaid I met back home...She called the stones Darunae, which she said means Moonwater. I suppose...that the earrings would cost..."
She scratches her head and closes her eyes as if deep in thought.
"Ohhh..." she groaned, "This is much harder than I thought it would be! My father made rings, and he would probably say with the gold alone they would be worth $45...but that seems like so much too me, I wouldn't dream of asking that much! Ohhh...then with the stones he'd say, since they are rare stones of water fold, that would be an additional 7.50..."
She sighs and her wings droop down in despair. Quicksilver opens a drawer at her desk and pulls out a folded card and a pen and scribbles something on it then set it out on the counter. "Name Your Price" was what it read. She hated asking money from people, it was her worst favorite thing about babysitting when she was 12, because everyone would ask her how much she charged...and she was always afraid she would ask for too much. Suddenly she heard a jingling at the door telling her of a new customer. The girl looked around a little bit, then walked over to her and handed her a bag that she took, and finding it surprisingly heavy, dropped it on the counter.
"Oh gosh I'm terribly sorry!" she cried, the feathers on her wings and the fur on the back of her neck bristling with shock. "I hope I didn't break anything!"
She opened the cloth and found within it two beautiful stones. Her eyes lit up as Yang told her what they were.
"So you want me to make a Yin-Yang from these, hmmm? I'm sure I can do that. What exactly do you have in mind?"

"$17.50 for the earrings," Quicksilver said at last, and, with the surprised look on everyone's face at her sudden decision, she grinned. "I don't know why, don't ask. I just thought $17.50 sounded like a good price. Thats not too much is it?"

She shrugs. "Oh, you know. Just a Yin-Yang. About yea big--" Yang holds up her hands in a circle that is perhaps four of five inches in diameter "--set in silver, with the hemitite and moonstone in the correct shapes and fit together. Also, with holes cut in eat side with a small circle of the opposite stone set in. I had a drawing about fifty years ago, but you know how paper is. Got any?"

Miyuki smiles happily. "I'm sure I can get the amount, no matter the price you ask. It'd be well worth it, I'm sure." She bows to her. "Please, will you do that for me?"

Fantasy grinned "$17.50 would be great! These are really beautiful..." She pulled out her purse that was right beside her mallet on her belt. Counting out the coins, Fantasy was given a start as a hissing Firefly suddenly landed on her shoulder. ~Puzzle!~ Firefly hissed in Fantasy's mind. Fantasy looked over her shoulder and shook her head. Smiling, she gave Quicksilver the last of the coins. ~Hey, beware of that Puzzle, he's a theif; a very violent one at that~ Fantasy's message echoed in Quicksilver's mind.

Tawnyblaze walks into the shop, and gazes around at all the shiny jewelry and gems. "Oo,pretty!" She picks up a turquoise gem set in gold that hangs from a thin golden chain. "Hey, this reminds me of the Aquastone gem that we find back at home. Those have interesting magical properties." She turns to Quicksilver, the necklace dangling from a claw. "Just curious, what kind of jewel is this?"

Quicksilver handed Yang a piece of paper and a pencil.
"Here you go, but I'm pretty sure I get what you mean now. Is there anything else you'd like added to it? I can set it in a staff or a sword if you'd like."
She turns to Miyuki then smiles.
"Of course I'd do that for you! I believe...I could charge...$65.00 for that...that is, if it turns out right. I haven't really done a full size sword before, so it may turn out good, it may turn out bad. But I believe it will have positive results. Can you excuse me for a second?"
She took the money from Fantasy and thanked her, nodding her head from the comment about Puzzle. She walked over to Tawnyblaze and greeted her.
"That's Darunae, a stone that I get specially from a Mermaid friend back home. I just sold a pair of earrings that had the same stone in them."
Quicksilver eyes Puzzle closely then at last walks over to him.
"Hello!" she says kindly, without sounding suspicious, "Can I help you?"

Miyuki smiles happily, and nods enthusiastically. As Quicksilver Moon helps the other customers, Miyuki trots out the door, and heads back to the camp. Making sure Alex isn't around to see her, she rummages through her things, grabs some money, and trots back to the shop, her tail twitching happily."I'm back! I have the money, whenever you are free, I'd like that sword made, please." She amuses herself by browsing through the rest of the charms, but her face shows her excitement and eagerness.

Quicksilver nods her head, grinning brightly. She loved helping others, and she loved being able to be a part of others relationships, though she never had a real one of her own.
"The first thing you'll have to do is choose a stone that will be set into the hilt of the sword," Quicksilver said to Miyuki.

Eoli is attracted to the shiny objects.All ears perked in interest and all tails wagging happily, she enters the store with a broad grin, immediately going to examine a set of small charms shaped liked feathers. She manages to catch a few mentions of pricing, however, and her ears droop slightly. "Need to have money for this place," she mumbles to herself in English, picking at her sleeves as she ponders this development.

Lecoto, wandering the dream, notices the charms shop. "you know, I wonder..." he thinks, and turns to walk inside. Upon noticing the large amount of people already in the store, and one being helped, he decides to wait around for a second until the owner is ready for him.
