Fun on the Beach! (Intro / Open)

Catty Dewclaw grinned as she stepped out of the water and took her towel from the sands. She pulled her goggles over her head and rested them on her forehead.
The lovely blue two-piece that she wore complimented her skin quite nicely and she grinned as she looked out over the miles and miles of clean sparkling sand. She began to dry herself off.
"Well now, this is the PERFECT place for my new resort!" she smiled and nodded, "I'll make it the best place for a honey-moon!"
Her cat, Rilla mewled and rubbed up against her leg, wetting it's fur a little with the droplets of water running down her body.
"You'll help me, won't you, Rilla?" she asked as she stroked the cat's head, "You keep everyone under control and I'll do the rest."

Davis O'Brian was distracted. Gorgeous women in swimsuits tend to do that to him. He said eloquently, ".....", the lack of words due mostly to his jaw hanging about chest level. Recovering fairly quickly, he said, "Er...hello?"

Catty bounced (and well she did bounce since her chest was bouncing along with her) all the way up to Davis.
"Why hello! Come to enjoy the beach?" she asked, "My name is Catty Dewclaw and this is Rilla."
She indicated the tiny brown and black kitten. "I'm opening a resort out here soon. Hope you'll enjoy it!"

Davis worried that his jaw might be somewhat dislocated...but what a nice way to get it dislocated, he thought dreamily. Shaking himself back to a form of semi-coherence, he says, "I'm sure I will enjoy it...the scenery is beautiful!" He then attempts to look at some of the other scenery...not particuarly successfully. He did manage to keep looking at the face...mostly.

The clear blue skies never ceased to amaze him. He came lower in his plane, the improvements made by Myra were working like a charm as he skimmed the water, spraying it either side. He noticed people on the far off beach and rose a little as not to spray them. Gradually he worked round and decened not so far off. He climbed out of his Sopwith Tabloid and dropped to the sandy ground. He took off the helmet and google, wiping his brow of sweat, walking up to them. He held a hand out to them both, "Hullo there! I'm George Patterson. You new here?"

"Um...yes...somewhat..." wrenching his face away from the very distracting Catty Dewclaw, he says, "Nice to meet you. I'm Davis O'Brian, and this is Catty Dewclaw. And her cat, Rilla." As he looks towards Catty to introduce her, he finds himself once again transfixed...he surfaces, saying, "I suppose that's your vehicle that just landed?" Don't embarass yourself, Davis, stay focused...no matter how gorgeous she looks.

Catty grinned and waved at George, "Yeah. The name's Catty. You ever go swimming? I just got back from snorkelling. Nice plane you got there."
She wiped herself with a towel to dry off a few stray droplets of salt water that trickled down from her hair. Some of it trickled down the front but she ignored those droplets.
"The resort will be opening really soon, I'll expect to see you as a customer! You'll be bringing a few customers to this resort in that thing of yours, right?" she grinned, "Careful about displacing the sand there."
Then she swung her busty body to face Davis again, "I'm expecting you to come as well and to bring some friends with you. We'll be happy to accomodate you!"
She paused for a bit, then continued, "Would you like to work here?"

George laughed slightly, "Oh but of course!" He thought. "Perhaps I could work for you... I'm sure many people would be keen to leanr to fly... or perhaps just a fly about in one?"
|

|
"Work here...?" Davis repeats, still somewhat dazed... Snapping to attention he says, "Well, what type of work?..." and is inevitably drawn back to the dual pendulums of doom...tries to concentrate on the face. A nice face, a beautiful face even...but not quite as distracting.

A splash came from the water as a blond haired man rose from the sea. He shook some water from his hair, knocking his head slightly to get rid of the water from his ears...

Catty nodded, "I'm sure a nice flight programme would amuse my customers, only your plane is a little noisy... Hmmm... I dunno, maybe once a week or something. I actually need people to help with reception and cooking and all that jazz but I guess a plane ride would be a good thing. How can I contact you?"
She noticed that Davis was becoming more and more dazed, "Are you all right Mr O'Brien? Can I get you something?"
Suddenly, she spotted the blonde boy in the sea and waved, "HELLO OUT THERE!"

"Yes, I think it safe to say that both of those statements are correct..." Davis says... "I'm a semi-decent cook..." He stops, shaking his head. "You know, I think I need to take a quick dip in the ocean...pardon me..." He sheds his coat, t-shirt, Kevlar vest, shotgun, shoes and socks, then jumps into the water, jeans and all. You can see a little bit of steam rising from the ocean... "A hot day, isn't it?" he says, a bit sheepishly. Spotting the boy, grateful for the brief distraction from his number one distraction, he waves lazily at him, swimming around casually.

Catty raised an eyebrow as she watched Davis plunge himself into the ocean, "Uhm. Mr O'Brien. I don't suggest going into the ocean when you're that hot... You might get cramps. That's not good for you..."
She watched as the steam rose from the ocean, "I've never seen anyone get that hot before, though... I do hope he's okay. Although, his jeans may get waterlogged if he does that."
Shaking her head, she bent down to gather up Davis' clothes, folding them neatly and leaving them in a pile on the sand. Then, she shed her towel and gracefully dived into the ocean to join the swimmers, keeping an eye out for Davis in case he started getting cramps.
"Hey George! Come join us!" she smiled, waving at the pilot from her little spot in the ocean.

Upon being addressed Len waved to Catty out on the beach, "Hey!"
Davis came into the water with him, where Len beamed at him, "Heya! Didn't realise this beach was occupied. Kinda been sitting out here for a few weeks now..."
He looked to Catty as she came out, "Hey there, gorgeous. Great time for a dip, ya know...." He combed his dripping hair with his hand. "I was just about to head back to my little camp up beach..." He pointed to a small tent not to far off...

Water...cold...helps take the mind off of distractions, Davis thought gratefully. Okay, so what happened...did I just sign up to be a cook?!? Davis whacks himself on the head, then decides to just enjoy the swim. After all, the water is nice, and the company...distracting, to say the least. He's a surprisingly good swimmer, and takes a quick swim around the place. Boredom becomes to quickly set in, and he smirks to himself. Time to liven things up... he thinks to himself. Muttering a few words, the illusion of a large shark is created, which begins to swim towards the blonde swimmer. It looks hungry...

Catty smiled and shook her head, "A camp? I'm opening a resort out here soon. This beach belongs to me, practically. You're welcome to stay here, though - until the resort opens and then you'll be welcome to rent a room from me or you could organise campfires out on the beach."
She swum up to Len, hoping that Davis hadn't hyperventilated himself to death, "In any case, you'll clean up when you leave, of course... or Rilla might get angry. The name's Catty, by the way."
She held out a hand to Len, then called over her shoulder at Davis, "I left Rilla to guard your clothes, Mr O'Brien!"

The shark moved closer, circling in large arcs around Catty and Len. Suddenly, it plunged forward at the two...and just as suddenly disappeared, leaving Davis O'Brian, saying, "Boo!" With that, he dissolved his illusionary duplicate that had remained behind, saying to Catty, "Oh, and thanks." With that, he grins at the pair, swimming a short distance away...and splashing them.

Len smiles, "Hey, that's fine by me. I gotta keep moving to be honest. I only stopped to take in the beauty of this place, plus it makes a great place for a spot of training..."
It was then that he noticed how... well built she was and blinked, "Well, I suppose with you here, you wouldn't need a resort to attract the men..." He gave her a wink and then nodded. "Naturally I'd take my things with me. I've been eating fish, catch em in the sea... speaking of which..."
He turned to face the on-coming shark. He held a hand across Catty, "You'd better stand back, this thing looks nasty..." He took a stance and then, he stopped.
He looked over at Davis, "Looks like we have a practical joker in our midst..." He didn't look overly impressed. He could tell that the shark wasn't real since it had no soul, which all living things did...

Catty laughed, "I'm used to the ocean and can defend myself... When I'm snorkelling..."
She indicated a small knife attached to one of her long, sexy legs - a diving knife used to cut away seaweed and to ward off any dangerous animals that may attack her.
"I've been trained enough to handle a shark attack..." she grinned, but the rest of her sentence was cut off by a gigantic splash from Davis' direction.
She turned around and splashed Davis back, but missed and ended up giving Len a giant faceful of water.

OOC: Hmmm... you need to be more patient with your posts, Davis. Wait for replies to your actions.
We'll have to assume that SOMETHING happened, making a combination of the two posts.
As for the shark's soul, well that wouldn't really be an illusion, more of a disguise. Still, he'd sense Davis's soul being there instead of a shark's. And would also note that a shark couldn't reach him, since he's stood in the water, in case you hadn't noticed ^^;;... bloody newbies XP.

(OOC: It's an illusion, he just wraps it around him. He's good at all types of illusions...I just usually refer to them as illusions, rather than getting into details about disguises...as for the other bit, eh, patience isn't my virtue...which is why I have too many alts  And haven't you ever heard of the dreaded really short shark?)

George rolled his eyes at the antic and bore an amused smile, "More like children..."
He looked around spotting Catty's pet cat. He wandered over and held his hand out to her, "Hey there kitty, going to come over for a petting?" He's not so close that the cat can scratch him if it doesn't want a stroke...

Rilla sniffed at George's hand, looking at him quizzically. She expected food, and this man was not giving her any food. She licked her paw delicately and continued to sit primly on top of the mound created by Davis' clothes.
Meanwhile, in the water, Catty took great pleasure in splashing Davis with a giant wave of water.

(OOC: Well you probably should, that way a mistake like just then won't happen again, ne? I have many alts also, for the same reason but know not to practically double post. You'll have to learn that round here ^_~.
Have you ever heard the tale of a man called Davis being eaten alive by a rapid Britt? XDDD)
IC: Len suddenly got a face full of water and blinked, "Well, I guess there's the term 'cooling off' but that's just not cricket..." He grinned, picked Catty up and started to wade out to sea with her. Once out far enough he drop her into the water, just so she's nice and wet. (XD)
He'll then take a moment to admire her, naturally, "Well, your soul's radient but your beauty's amazing..." He gave her another wink.
