The Sword of Shadowed Sands (signups in progress on another thread)
      #469480 - Thu Mar 25 2004 12:12 AM

Darkness reeped over the sky of Tankall as the large flaming ball of light formally known as the sun began to submerge over the horizon. The light of day slowly withered along this baren landscape of sand, leaving this parched scrap of TheDream to the weight of night and the stars above. Braving from the opposite side of the sky, a large moon illuminated the ground enough to support shadows of dunes, the small town of Sorvos, and off in the distance a jail by the infamous name Chartov.

Tankall was the name of the land, which in the tounge of an ancient race once dotting the area meant 'Parched Soul Sand' or 'Sand of a Parched Soul'. It stretched for many miles in all directions, and aside from a few random desert creatures now the only avatars living here resided in Sorvos. Sorvos was once a town owned by bandits who escaped the hands of authority until one day it was raided by police, the villains were captured, and a jail was built nearby to contain them and any other strong criminals. While the jail thrives in it's hostages, noone has been known to escape without death. For you see, the only people that can reach Sorvos or Chartov are those with a means of strong and fast transportation. Any who break from the jail and try to walk out of his desert never last under the scortching sun and many hazards that plague its' path.

However, though Tankall is harsh and brutal, there is a populice still living peacefully in Sorvos. Aside from a few residence in town, there is also a local pub Famous for it's asortment of drinks by the name of 'GoldenAle' and a finely inviting inn titled 'The StrongHold Inn'. More than commonly, the town was of a more western hardcore cowboy variety. So it wouldn't be uncommon to see guns in the area. Though most fighting was strongly taken care of by the Sheriff and his robotic squad of police.

Thus the story starts in The StrongHold Inn.

Striding along the outside of the inn, a drunkard lizardman stops at the doorway and glances over in surprise as there is a sudden crash of something glass and a fight apparently breaking out. He turned his head to call to noone important in a drunken slithered tongue about a fight in the inn before something flies over the slinging doors (a bottle of ale) and strikes him in the head. Thus on the Lizardman passes out.

Inside, a woman in samurai-style green clothes was striking up a pretty interesting conversation with some buff guy behind a counter that presumably owned the inn. The woman was most definately human. The guy, while he looked human, sported the classic demi-human signs of long ears, horns (like a bulls'), and lionious tail. "I'm sorry" the man commented with a small sign of patience as he just dodged an expensive vase which Amethyst chucked most displeasingly at his head while cursing up an angry storm, "But this is the bill. Now please pay."

Jade blinked and looked up when she heard a sudden crash from downstairs.

She was sitting at the desk in her room at the inn, bent over a piece of wood she was carving into a talismen with a knife. She sighed. Jade had been hoping for some peace and quiet tonight. Tomorrow's start of the journey through the desert was not going to be an easy one.

She shook her head, and went back to work.

The room was small, but cosey. It was clean and dry, so Jade had no complaints. She had stayed in worse places in her travels. The bed was soft, and the desk was a nice touch. Unfortunately it was at the top of the stairs, but that couldn't bother Jade in the slightest. After all, the keep and given her a discounted price, and her pockets seemed unusally bare as of late.

Violent winds tore at her wingsails tossing the silver dragoness like she was nothing more than a leaf upon the breeze. The storm had caught her by surprise, and she had been blown so far off course from her home that she had no idea where "here" was once she managed to break free into clear skies once more. Sand stretched below her as far as her eyes could see, the light of the moon illuminating the undulating landscape and refreshing her energy stores that had been used up from battling the storm's energies. The day's thermals lifted her mass easily when she crested a low rise and saw lights in the distance. It did not take her long to reach the outskirts of Sorvos, landing outside the boundries of the town to avoid any beings that did not particularly care for draconic beings.

A soft glow surrounded her and caused her wings and tail to melt away, the beastial form transforming into the lithe and graceful form of an elven ranger. Glancing around quickly, she checked the bag that had appeared by her side, and pulled on leather breeches, and a night blue tunic that belted at the waist. Rummaging around a bit, she pulled out a pair of black boots and pulled them on. Over this, she pulled on her fitted leather armor, strapping the shin and wrist guards on quickly and efficiently. The last item was her cloak, a soft silvery gray that nearly matched the white silver of her hair. Securing her bow and quiver across her back, she tucked two long knives into it along with the arrows, strapped her sword to her waist and checking to make sure that her weapons were in order. Satisfied, she walked into town, noting the dusty streets and the building she passed. One stood out in particular to her, not so much because of the outside appearance, but the fact that there seemed to be a significant amount of commotion coming from it. Stepping up to the entrance, she couldn't help but wrinkle her nose slightly as she nearly stepped on the prostrate lizard-man sprawled out unconcious right in the doorway. A bottle of ale lay nearby, the broken top causing a spreading puddle of alcohol to stain the otherwise clean wood floor. Her attention was grabbed by the sound of breaking crockery and she raised her eyes in time to see a woman dressed in green hurling a vase at who appeared to be the owner.

Stepping into the light, she heard the woman cursing at him, and the man's response. So that is what's going on. Yon lady is throwing a fit because she can't pay her bill.. She chuckled inwardly before clearing her throat rather loudly to get their attention.

By the time Silver had entered the mildly devistated inn, Amethyst's hard conversation with the innkeeper had practically erupted into an all out unmerciful war of words. When the dragon with a now more elven appearence came to realize the situation, the loud battle was to the point where the innkeeper had completely lost his patience. They were yelling at eachother swearing at eachother. Throwing insults left and right without conscience of the fact that there are others trying to sleep.

"You Long-eared, [censored] reeking bastard!" this was only a cencored version of what was being said, "There's no bloody way I'm paying this entire Town anything! So Just Sod Off!" Amethyst reached into her outer robe to remove a rather hefty bottle of ale. Uncorking it, the woman took a swig.

The innkeeper retaliated with blazing eyes and a temper to match. "Filthy Alcohalic! If you aren't going to pay, then I'll chain you in the kitchen! Noone disgraces this inn!" Infact, at a more clear outside opinion, the demi-human appeared to be growing more muscles as he spoke. "So Don't Even Damn Well Think Of Walking Out As If Everything Were Free!" He banged his hand on the desk two times.

Spitting out the ale at this new image of a highly wanted traitor being forced to clean dishes, the female in samurai clothing got ready to chuck her bottle at him. The words that came out of her mouth were far too repulsive to post in this thread. So as a cencored version, her words all amount to, "Your Mother!" The innkeep gave a shot look.

This is when Silver clears her throat to get some attention. Amethyst turning around - still holding the bottle in a throwing position. And furrowed her brows at the longeared woman before her. "Yeah?"

In the background the demihuman's body was contorting, his once flat human features changed dramatically to suit more of a bull with sharp teeth. Caressing down the now long muscled neck and down the chin was long tufts of reddishbrown fur. Muscles seeming to scream out of every pore of his body now. The Slow tearing of clothing is what slowly caught the baikokudo's attention. Amethyst raised a finger to Silver saying "one moment" before turning around to finish her business with the guy behind the counter. However, now, the guy was a massive, hulking, 21 ft tall, furcovered, hoovefooted, anthropomorphic monster that had the features between a rabid bull and a bodybuilding lion.

The innkeeper roared out in a coarse angry howl, "Noone Insults My Mother"

Amethyst was intimidated. This was seriously something she had not been expecting. But since there was another person in the same room, she kept up a tough exterior. Pointing and waving the bottle of ale at the monster before her, she attempted to say something angrilly. However nothing came out. Momentarily stopped to think this through, the woman finally returned to her bottle waving and responded, "P.. Piss Off!"

Img drawn of Amethyst and Innkeep.

Jade's knife slipped at the howl, and a big chunk of the supposed talisman flew off across the room. Angry, she dropped the remaining wood onto the desk and slammed her knife, point first, into it.

"Gah! That's enough!" She screamed, getting out of her chair.

She stormed over to the door to her room, and swung it open with a *woosh* and a *thud*. She stuck her head out and screamed, "SHUT UP!!!" at the top of her lungs.

SilverMoon narrowed her eyes slightly at the callous acknowlegment by Amethyst, but she had to smile at the allusion to dishwashing. Drunkard, she thought to herself, as her hand was drawn inexplicably to her sword hilt. Drawing the shining blade, she edged closer in the incident of trouble, while staying far enough away that she did not seem to be much of a threat. The elvish dragon was about to open her mouth to say something when Amethyst abrubtly turned back to her argument, leaving SM standing in the half-lit doorway.

The screaming match continued on around her, this time with the barkeep towering over both of them. SilverMoon's eyes widened at the sight, and she took it all in with a single glance. This woman needs to chill out or there's going to be serious trouble. At that same moment of thought, she heard a door slam open, and a voice hollering down for the arguing pair to "Shut up".

Taking matters into her own hands, SilverMoon siezed a bucket of what looked like water from a nearby table, and hurled it at the screaming woman dressed in green.

"That is ENOUGH!", she shouted, throwing the hood of her cloak back to reveal shining silver hair and slanted eyes.

The situation didn't seem to be getting any better, in fact, to Jade it looked like it was escalating.

Great. She thought to herself. Another night without sleep in an inn that's run down, overcrowded, sm--

Just then she watched as a bucket went flying at a woman who was busying screaming and shaking a bottle at a monster. Her eyes widened and darted back to the woman that threw it.

Oh boy. This is going to get pretty ugly.

Ame looked up towards where the voice was while still waving the bottle of ale at the approaching lionbull of an Innkeep that seemed to get bigger and more muscled at each step.

While Ame didn't have elfish or animalistic ears, she could hear the advancements of the woman she previously knew to be behind her and the woosh of some threateningly dangerious item accompanied with her crisp clean voice. Alright, so maybe Silver wasn't advancing towards her - just removing the hood from her head.. And perhaps the item chucked in her direction wasn't immediately dangerious. However, with what events were presently going on and her training to protect herself, Amethyst was ready for anything in a paranoid 'always fighting' sense.

Placing out her foot behind her, Amethyst Spung around to swing the ale bottle and deflect the supposedly 'attacking object' The bottle - inturn - goes into the bucket. The bucket joins in on her spin, and - taking the moment forgranted - the woman releases the bottle when once again facing towards the monsterious innkeeper.

The innkeeper didn't know what was going on in his anger. So reaching towards Amethyst while she spung with mouth wide open in a horrendiously pissed widemouthed roar, he ends up getting a bucketful of ale (bucket and bottle included) between the jaws. He placed both hands to mouth and took a step of two back to try and get the bucket that was now lodged in his mouth out.

Amethyst, now mildly wet from the ordeal but alive and kicking, used the time to run away from both Silver and the innkeeper towards the upstairs. After all, her sachel and sword were still in the room and she couldn't live without them. Now up the stairs, she turns the corner with dramatic swiftness to end up running straight into Jade. More than likely taking them both into Jade's room (depends on how you wish to resolve the collision )

Clentching teeth tightly, the innkeeper destroys the bucket. He Spit it out nearby, the now Empty ale bottle with it. Being that Randall the Demihuman LionBull Innkeeper was still a minor and therefore weak (in drinking aspect of the word), the alcohal began to effect his system quickly. His actions were now on the better part dulled and dumb.

Randall pointed with a huge clawed finger towards Silver, saying in a mutually slurred pissed voice, "U're Wit 'er, Ain't Youz!" Before advancing towards what 6 SilverMoon's he could see.

Jade was preoccupied watching the Demihuman downstairs crush a metal bucket with his teeth when Amethyst came trampling up the stairs. By the time Jade noticed her running straight for her, Amethyst was crashing into her.

Jade, taken by surprised and knocked clear off her feet, grabbed hold firmly of Amethyst's arm with her free hand as she fell, pulling her down with her. There was quite a large THUD as Jade's back hit the wood floor of her room.

Jade looked angrily at the woman laying on top of her.

"What the [censored] do you think you're doing!?!" She screamed at her.

Silver snorted slightly in laughter at Amethyst's reaction to her throw. That poor guy, he's just getting it all tonight.,was what went through her mind. She sidestepped and backed up a couple of steps when Amethyst bounded up the stairs, after weapons presumably from the speed at which she moved. Sheathing her sword once again, she sidestepped as the now drunken and wet demi-human came charging at her.

"I am not with her. I don't even know who she is!!", SM raised her voice slightly, backing away from the outstretched claws. This is when my own claws would come in handy, but no, I'm not going to let them know. They'd have me caged in an instant.

"Let me make you some tea to help clear your head from that ale, what do you say?"

Recovering from the fall without a breath to spare, the woman pulled at Jade's arm and glared her fallen companian eye to eye. Her voice was low, deep, yet crammed into a drastically frantic curse, "Running, dammit!" Ame stood, making no attempt to pry her arm free of Jade's ruthlously unmerciful grasp. Thus on, she looked around the room in a panic. Practically yelling in a broken holler, "Where's my Sword!?" Before realizing soon afterwards, "Wait, this isn't my room." and panicking again, "I need to get to my room!"

This is when the green-robed ale-infested wanted woman made a dash for the door. If Jade was still attached to her arm, she'd most like attempt to take the talisman-crafting person with her.

"Tea?" Randall the angrilly drunken bullion demi-human bellowed out in sudden haphazard question towards Silver's carefully planned words. He cocked an eyebrow towards hers (being that he sees more than one Silver in his ale'd hostility), "Tea ain't going to pay for that wenches' bill!" Another clawed reach for all of Silver ended with failor - as he waaay off in his target of where he thought she was. Clear confusion spread across his alcohal reddened face. Before he got even more angry, "Stay still so I can catch you so that.... uhm..." and then more confused. Randall suddenly realized that he hadn't realized what he was going to do with Silver concerning getting Amethyst to pay for her stay at the inn.. "Uhm..." another long moment of extremely sluggish thought.

"HEY!!" Jade yelled, taking a tight grip on Amethyst's arm, and being pulled out of her own room.

"STOP!!" She wove her knife around, which still had the talisman attached to the end of it, making it look more comical than menacing.

"What do you think you're doing!? You need to pay! And apologize to me! He's going to come up here and kill you! HEY!!" Jade was making a poor attempt to pull Amethyst in the other direction, and instead was being dragged down the hall. Instead she let go of her arm and ran back into her room. Jade grabbed her own sword, clipping the sheath onto her belt. She yanked the talisman from her knife and stuck it into the sheath on her boot.

Jade pulled her sword from its sheath and then took off down the hall after the woman.

(((Just a Note: When Ambrose “speaks” he’s actually using telepathy, and unless otherwise stated, anyone within auditory hearing range can hear him in their heads also. Basically works like speech… just in your head)))

Melantha was lying on a sturdy, though simply made bed, one arm flung over her face, when the commotion started downstairs. The girl didn’t move, but sighed instead as a small, glowing light suddenly wiggled its way out of her hair. The light landed on Melantha’s chest and attentively listened to the noise coming from the first floor of the inn. The voice of a young woman floated into the room, followed by a crash.

Oooo, did you hear that? asked the little light excitedly, I think that samurai lady’s causing trouble again!

“Of course I heard it,” Melantha answered in a muffled, but distinctly resigned voice.

More shouting floated up the stairs and down the hallway, making it’s way through the cracks in the door. The girl flung her arm across the bed, letting it hang limply off the edge of the mattress and rubbed her eyes with the other hand. It had been some time since she had gotten a decent amount of sleep and it seemed that tonight would only contribute to the lack.

Let’s go see what’s going on! C’mon, c’mon, get up! the small faery horse whined, bouncing up and down on the young woman’s chest.

“Stop it,” Melantha groaned, trying to catch the little light in her hand, “You’re supposed to be taking it easy, remember? Or else you’ll never be able to carry me out of this wasteland.”

The young woman was not in this town on any particular business, but had arrived here by mistake and purely by chance. As she and Ambrose explored the drier regions of the Dream, a sand storm had unexpectedly kicked up and brought them to Sorvos. Although the sudden appearance of the town surely saved their lives, being confined on either side by expansive desert was not what Melantha would call enjoyable. Ambrose had been slightly injured and severely dehydrated after the storm and the pair had stayed on in the inn by recommendation of the local physician. The small faery horse however, avoided his companions hand and zipped across the room.

Aww, c’mon, you must be bored with all this lying around! Ambrose coxed, appealing to the restless, adventurous soul that Melantha really was.

The girl opened her eyes and stared at the darkened ceiling. The fae stallion was right of course; she was unbearably bored, which probably contributed to her inability to sleep. It had been some time since the young woman had seen any action; her bones hummed for a battle. Melantha grudgingly got out of bed as the yelling and commotion seemed to move upstairs and pulled on her boots. There were more yells and the sound of heavy footsteps filled the hall. This was going to be no heroic battle for ones very soul… but at least it was something. With a sigh, the girl opened the door of her room.

OMG, thank you soooo much Jien!!

In one of the rooms down the hall, a fossa WAS trying to sleep. Between all the yelling and the sounds of a small fight, Julia got up and got dressed. She didn't care much to even be in this pit of a town, the last thing she needed was to lose sleep to a bunch of drunks being stupid. She sighs, remebering the bounty head that brought her here in the first place. Since she had her kids Julia found that she needed more money... alot more. Being a bounty hunter often paid well if she chose which ones to go after well.

Julia had heard there was a woman currently in this town who had a rather nice sized bounty on her head. After getting a name and a picture, she had come to this town to look for this bounty head named Amethyst. The $850,000 bounty would go a long way in providing for her family.

She opens her door and steps out to see what is going on, just in time to walk right into Amethyst's path.

Wow, so CUTE! Thank you Light!

Once free of Jade's ferocious grip on her arm, the 850,000 dollar woman shot forwards like a tense rubberband being sprung. The only things on her mind were her sword and escape to... Well... Find temporary peace at the bar across the street most likely. Until probably getting into another fight, of course.

However, things wouldn't go that smoothly... As they never do...

Back downstairs, Randall the drunkan Bullion shook his head one more time. He growled with eyes red and snorfed out a rather steamed, pissed off realization. "You'res not that bitch that dissed my mother and refuses to pay!" His hulking body swung and head cocked to face what carnage to be was upstairs along the balcony. Now facing away from Silvermoon, all Randall's sodden mind could randomly pinpoint was the damn little samurai witch upstairs and all 'friends' that were out there with her. He started bulldosing his way up the stairs.

Once free of Jade, All Ame could hear was the unsheathing of a blade behind her. Which really didn't calm her nerves at all. Anxiety was pumping through her entire body on the fact that her weapon was just a few doors down.

Mel's door was the first to slightly creak open. Perfect! While on the path, Amethyst grabbed Mel's door harshly and pulled it all the way open - not caring too much on what would happen to the person on the other end of the door. This action was, of course, to slow Jade and her swordflinging down. ^^`

While running, the woman looked back breifly to see if her action was successful. After a moment, Ame decided that it would be better if she just stuck to the task of going to get her sword. So, turning to face forwards, she came face to face with the harsh reality that someone was in the way. Swinging her arms frantically to try and slow down at least, the samurai woman howled out, "GET OUTTA THE WAY!!!!!" Before crashing head over heels into Julia.

If Julia does nothing to stop Ame thereafter, she would most likely get back up (her life depending on it to show the ferocity of her need to stand) and dart back to her room. The room, of course, being 2 doors down from Julia's. Swinging the door wide open and going in to get her sword. Well, if unstopped... ^^`````

Fate smiles cruely on this vagabond baikokudo
Optimism within her chest beats pulsing forward
Thrown against sword upon sword facing demons
Blown like the wind, caught in a mighty updraft
Destiny unclear, purpose unknown, a long path
Purity lost amidst the fresh blood soaked past

Befriended by few who in turn also lose their lives
Strong, beautiful, relentless, skillfull, and tranquil
Pursued by many who are blinded by her false reputation
Striving to survive despite the onslaught of constant death
Without home, without sanctuary, without hope, without love
A brightness that outshines her dismal existance soothes her

Chaos in the Hallway new
      #476275 - Tue Apr 13 2004 09:47 AM

Melantha was slowly preparing to enter the hallway, and was not paying much attention to the noise and shouting outside, when her door was violently swung open and she was flung out into the chaos. The young woman stumbled only momentarily but was quick to regain her balance. She stared at the people either running or sprawled in the hallway, her hand tight on the hilt of her sword. The girl flattened herself against the wall opposite her door, in an attempt to stay out of the way of the weapon-weilding Jade. Ambrose, was of course in his element, flying around the heads of the nearest people, squealing at the top of his little faery lungs. The small violet light bounced from head to head, only adding to the commotion.

“For Gwydion’s sake, Ambrose!!” Melantha shouted, “Stop it! And all of you, shut up and calm down!!”

Melantha’s voice was strong and after years of commanding troops, had gained a significant weight of authority that exploded out of her words. The girl did not draw her sword, for fear of alarming everyone further or distracting Jade, who's weapon-waving was making her nervous. The samurai woman was obviously desperate to get somewhere, and the people out in the hall were only obstructing her progress. Melantha could hear something large barreling up the stairs and got the distinct impression that they were all soon to be flattened by a very large, drunk and angry demi-human.

“Put your weapons away!” Melantha growled at the occupants of the hallway, “Before the Inn Keeper sees you all and decides you’re too much trouble. This hall isn’t exactly made for lumbering-and-wide.”

The girl used her chin to indicate the hulking form of the Inn Keeper, making his way up the stairs. Ambrose had finally ceased squealing and settled on Melantha’s shoulder, sulking.

You’re no fun, he muttered, but looked hopefully at the Inn Keeper to restore the chaos.

(First off, my appologies to my delay in posting. We're getting ready to move to a new apartment)

SilverMoon shook her head and dodged Randall's poorly aimed blows. When he paused for a moment, she took the opportunity to duck away, but by that time he had already turned and was heading up the stairs where Amethyst had gone only moments before.

I'm going to make that poor guy some tea, he's going to have a nasty hangover when that ale wears off. She thought, making her way back to where she thought the kitchen was. Luck was with her, as a kettle was hung nearby the hearth with hot water still in it. A further search turned up a good sized mug, which she thought belonged to the innkeeper. Pouring some of the hot water into the mug, she pulled a pouch from her belt and sprinkled a mixture of yarrow, feverfew, and chamomile into the water. Taking the steaming mug, she made her way up the stairs towards more commotion.

More shouting, and a commanding voice shouting at everyone to calm down greeted her at the base of the stairs. Sighing inwardly, she began walking up.

Julia 'Acks' as she is run into. The only thing she can think of as she falls on her rear is, 'Holy Crap it's Amethyst! Crap! Where's my sword!?' She lays on the ground for a moment, watching which room Amethyst goes into before scrambling to her feet and darting into her own room. She looks around a moment an grabs her sword, straping it to her back as she usually did. Julia runs back out into the hall and heads for Amethyst's room, aiming to cut off her escape.

((Sorry guys, but I really can't guarantee any sort of regularity in my posts now that finals are fast approaching. I'll try not to disappear for such an extended period again though -_-; ))

Jade's attempt to go barreling through the hallway was cut short as it seemes every-other door in the hall was swung open in rapid sucession.

Jade dodged around Melantha's door, almost bumping into Melantha herself. Jade glanced at the girl as she continued past her. Jade heard her words, but ignored them completely. Her business wasn't with the innkeeper, it was with the rude girl she was chasing after.

Jade continued further down the hall, and stopped short as Julia darted out of her room in front of her.

An annoyed and impatient Jade swung the door to Julia's room shut, and it closed hard with a BANG. She took a deep breath, and let her sword fall onto her shoulder, walking towards Amethyst's room as calmly as she can, her teeth grit.

Amethyst rummages to get her sword and sachel. Trying so hard to keep a cool head in the process. It was one thing to be hunted day after day. But to sleep next door to the hunters? This is getting rediculous! It was almost as if the entire inn was crawling with people that wanted to kill her. Though this wasn't unpredictible and wasn't the first time.

Silvermoon was running up the stairs to where Randall the Demihuman Bullion stops feet from Mel. His body was all muscle, his head nearly touched the cieling. He looked extrodinarily pissed off, if not drunk. If not admirably confused. His large hand raised to point in the general vicinity of Jade - whom just closed the door of Julia's room before Julia could get out (more or less on Julia's face). "Are you with them?" Randall's bellowious voice asked in the most polite manner he could ask while pissed and wasted.

Outside, three dark figures came upon the previously unconscious lizardman sprawled out just outside the inn. One of the figures - in the center of the three - appeared to be of a more anthropomorphic variety. The other two were most definately robotic - floating inches off the ground with some form of technological propulsion - accompanied by the sound of fastworking gears in every movement. "What have we here" a translucently rough male voice questioned.

"It appears to be a lizard anthropomorph" a clearly synthisized voice replied - some lights on one of the robots blinked corrispondingly to the verbilization.

The other mechanical being added, "With minor concussion due to an object thrown at a speed of 96.02 mph. Impressive for that of human or other organic being with medium weigh ratio of-"

The mysterious anthropomorph placed a hand to his head, "Yes yes... That's enough..." and bent down to the lizardman. Taking it by the scruff of hte neck and shaking it, "Hey, what happened. Who did this to you?"

"Inn Figh-" there's a crash at the inn, soon followed by a slammed door, "Dangerious wo-" with many yelling voices. The mysterious anthropomorph furrowed his brows, turning head towards the inn.

"Thank you for your help, I'll take care of it." said the figure, letting go of the lizardman and stepping with steeltoed boots into the inn. Accompanied by the two robots - who are silent with exception of the working whirrr of gears.

Ame runs out of her room to see Jade. Gives an appropriete, "ACK!" before running back into her room, slamming the door, and locking it. She hyperventilates for a moment until seeing the window. Well, that's better than anything.

'Crash', a window on the back of the inn breaks as Amethyst pushes her way through it. She takes a harsh improvisationally searching glare around the area. While the woman was only one floor up, the jump looked like a long way. Ah, but luckily there were a handful of boxes (of recently delivered bathroom essentials) piled up against the side of building. And while the jump still seemed a ways, Ame wasn't going to wait around and get her ass kicked.

Leaping out from the window, Ame landed onto the boxes. One of the boxes gave way to her foot and she was sent crashing into the ground in a pile of toilet paper, towels, and soap. But it was clear it wouldn't stop her - since moments afterwards the woman got up, shook off the towels that were attacking her, and proceeded to run for saftey somewhere else.

Walking into the inn - and therefore blocking the entrance - was a middleaged tiger anthro. He was adorned with various pieces of armor (namely shoulderplates, a chest plate, and covers for his shins. Which was under his long red cloak. The tiger also wears some rugged brown pants, hard black boots, a fairily hefty gun on one side of his belt, and a sword on the other. On his right breast was a metal sporting the title, 'Sheriff'. Behind him were two massive robots - bright silver color, however slightly scratched up with age and well-worn use. Both of the robots sported 1 head with 3 eyes, a large torso, four impressive arms (each), and a propulsion system on the bottom to keep afloat. "What Is This Fighting About?" His voice boomed to get the fact across that he was in the room. Eyes taking in that those causing the trouble before him were the innkeeper, an elfish woman, an adventurer woman with sprite, and another more loud human woman with sword already unsheathed. This was going to be a long night. The sheriff muttered a note to his robots to send a message back to the squad that he might need backup.

(ooc - woo, lotta post there. Anyway, Jade and Silvermoon. It's all good, just make sure to post. Don't take 3 days to post each or the thread may die, ya know?

Melantha gritted her teeth; obviously no one was listening to her and the running and weapon-wielding was not being minimized. The girl plastered herself against the wall as Jade came running by, trying to give her a look that hopefully said “For Gwydion’s sake, stop the commotion!” But the girl just kept running. Ambrose sat firmly on Melanthas shoulder, watching the continuing chaos with glee, forgetting the fact that the large and very confused Innkeeper was heading straight for them.

Quote:

"Are you with them?"

The pair slowly turned their gaze on Randall. The fae horse made a strangled ‘eep’ sound and buried himself in Melanthas hair. The girl, meanwhile, was desperately fighting the urge to draw her sword, but took a deep breath instead.

He’s certainly a lot bigger up close… came Ambrose’s nervous remark from somewhere behind the warrior girls left ear.

Melantha unclenched her hand from the hilt of her sword and spread her arms slightly, trying to make it obvious that she had no weapon in her hand.

“No. No, I’m not with them,” she said, just as a strange trio walked through the doors of the inn, “I’m just…”

Melanthas right arm twitched in the direction of her sword, but then fell limp by her side. She recognized the star of authority on the breast of the tiger anthro and was not about to draw her sword on him. The girl let her face become expressionless and tried to relax; there was no way that she was going to get arrested and spend more time in this town than she needed to. Melantha hoped that Randall would be distracted by the arrival of an authority figure and that all the commotion would die down, but she did not volunteer the information that the Sheriff was seeking; she would rather not get involved. Unfortunately, Ambrose did not think along the same lines as his human companion and zipped out of his hiding place in Melanthas dark hair, looping his way through the air toward the trio of newcomers.

The crazy samurai lady was throwing stuff and then she ran upstairs and then everyone ran into the hallway! cheerfully volunteered the fae horse.

Before the Sheriff could say anything, Ambrose floated over to one of the robots and stared at his own reflection in the metal.

Ooo, shiney, he muttered, ignoring Melanthas mental imploring to come back to her shoulder or leave the scene all together.

((Sorry dood, but this is the fastest I'm gonna be able to post for the next week and a half or so because of finals. You can complain all you want, but it's just not gonna happen.))

Amethyst slammed the door just as Jade reached it. Angrier now than before, Jade pulled and wiggled at the door handle frantically.

"Locked....LOCKED! HEY YOU LET ME IN YOU LITLLE [censored]!!"

Jade stepped back a few steps and rammed her shoulder into the door. The door didn't budge, but Jade was thrown back a bit. She stumbled a few steps back and barely kept herself from falling right over onto her rump.

Jade was about to ram the door again, when she stopped for a second to turn to the Bullion. "With them..? You mean HER?" Jade used her sword to point in the direction of Ame's door.

"No, I'm not with---"

Just then Jade heard the loud sound of a window breaking in Ame's room.

"What the..." Jade started, then realized that the girl was escaping. Jade readied herself to make another run at the door, holding her sword up in a thrusting position, only with the blade facing backwards.

"That girl is escaping!" She cried out, and ran as fast as she could towards Ame's locked door.

Julia 'ACK's as her door slams shut. Half a second later there is a *thump-ump* as she ran into the door and fell on her butt.... again. She picked herself up off the floor, again, and growled at the door. Drawing her sword, she was about to knock the door down. Her plan is interupted by the sound of the sheriff.

"Uh oh. Time to make a new exit."

She points her sword at an outside wall and lets loose a blast of wind the knocks a part of the wall out. She jumps out of the large hole in the wall and uses her power over wind to make a light landing on the ground below. She then resheaths her sword and sprints across the street. Finding an open shop or bar nearby, she'll quickly enter it and watch what happens at the inn from a window.

Wow, so CUTE! Thank you Light!

The Sheriff looked with steady eyes around the room. His eyes dilated on Jade for a moment, before being attracted to a smacked door and a window being shattered that were out of his vision.

One of the robots looked at the fairy horse, Amb, as he fluttered down and made excited comments. The robots eyes flashed breifly as a voice eminated from its inner circuts, "All RXY brand 003 police robots are instructed to keep upmost clean and-" The rest he said was washed out. While speaking, the other robot quietly told the sheriff in a monotone voice that the backups have arrived. In response the Sheriff nodded and said, "Detain everyone but Randall. We'll sort everything out in the jail"

With that, the second robot (not the one telling Amb why he keeps shiney) immediately shot out its arm. The arm ripped from its body - connected by a thick line of cables - and inserted itself into the doorframe of Ame's room (fingers on one side of the frame, thumb on the other) rather forcefully. Occupied with that was a loud BOOM. This action, of course, would keep Jade from getting herself through that specific doorway.

Outside, Ame watched from her alley as a handful of robots (exactly like the two in the inn concerning anatomy) began to surround the inn in a pretty tight circle. This motivated the woman to find her way out of there as soon as possible. Casually walking past the robots (with backs facing her), with a weary eye on them, before running her way across the street and towards her next place of agenda - the bar.

Julia enters the bar. Ame will be soon to follow about 10 minutes after that (since Amethyst waited in the alley across from the inn for a while). The bar was much like that from an old western movie. With swinging doors, dusty inside and out, a bar lining the wall, and tables littered around the room. There were a few other humans, robots, anthropomorphics, and zoomorphics - a few playing poker at a table, another in the corner of the bar on a stool drinking a beer, and a third group drinking their hearts out while watching a television that was mounted on the cieling in a rather unoccupied part of the room (playing what appeared to be football). The bartender was a regularly built woman of a more human variety - however sporting ears of a grey cat, stripes lining her cheeks and down her arms, but no tail. She was holding an empty goblet, cleaning it out with a rag being held by her other arm - which appeared to be extremely cyborg up to the shoulder. The woman wore dirty faded brown slacks, a tanned shirt, and her hair was tied back in dreadlocks.

Walking up to the group after Robot #2's rough arm-shooting display and Robot #1's newfound quiet attention from Amb towards what was going on, The Tiger of a sheriff smiled calmy to everyone and called out in a rough booming voice, "Aside from Randall, you are all under arrest. If you do not come quietly, I will hold no regards to your health. Be well aware that this place is presently surrounded. While you are escorted to the nearest Jail, Randall will gather your room items and remove your payment from them for your welcomed stay here and the damages that everyone will be held accountible for. What items you still have thereafter will be returned to your appropriete jail cells."

It was too late for Jade to stop herself from running into the now wedged-shut door. Her sword handle hit the door, first, then the rest of her body. With a loud *PLOMP* Jade fell back onto her rear, her sword left her hands, sliding across the floor.

Jade grabbed her sword and scrambled to her feet.

"Under arrest!? WE haven't done anything!" However Jade was tired, and didn't really feel like getting into a rumble with a bunch of tin cans. She dropped her sword into its sheath and sighed.

"Fine, but you'll see this has all been a mistake, and the girl you're looking for has thus escaped." Jade held her hands in the air, waiting for cuffs.
