Deep Within The SeaMonster - Beast Tavern (open to all)
      #472843 - Fri Apr 02 2004 05:13 PM

Far into the darkest depths of the oceans, slithering through the longest and harshest rivers, haunting the largest of lakes was a monolith of all seabeasts. It had a bad reputation for destroying boats and eating the crews, yet a mysterious origin due to the solid fact that noone living's been able to catch it. The monsters' species would have to be that of a 16 legged angler wyvern. A treturous breed of seadragon with 5 rows of sharp peircing teeth, 12 eyes, a long slitherious body (easily the length of two Specled whales), an array of colors and fins like that of a lionfish, yet the bait protruding from it's forehead to the effect of an anglerfish. This specific AnglerWyvern was given the infamous name, "15 Claws Gale" for it's bad reputation amung sailors. Supposedly, one sailor who Had survived gave 15 Claws Gale that specific name for the brutality of it's attack, and the missing sixteenth leg. Now if this sailor spoke the truth it's beyond anyones' call.

In a harmless privately owned garden on the edge of a forest named Sardaine, there is a doorway. This cleaverly planned doorway had no walls around it and no clearly seen exit behind it. On the door was a sign saying "Please Leave Closed". It was just an old battered doorway sitting in the middle of the garden leading to nowhere. Well, until one were to open it. In full truth that very door is a dimensional portal leading into the dankest depths of 15 Claws Gale's stomach. But, well, only two people know of it's exact location. And one of them is dead.

Barred up just under the portal is a ladder. At the end of the ladder is solid ground. A small island of sorts. Taking up most of the island in the belly of the seamonster is a well built tavern. Around the island is a pool of stomach acid - yet there is also a shaft of unknown yet extremely durible metal (like a slide) cleverly tacked up to catch those being eaten by the monster so they could land (if lucky) on the island on the other side of the tavern. On the top of the monsters' gut are creatively hung large lanters. Though how they remain lit and where the smoke goes is of no real concern (the monster breaths notious fumes and fire, I doubt it'd be worried)

A sign is posted up outside the odd building saying, "The Belly Of The Beast Alehouse! Welcome!"

Inside the structure is the scenery of a regular remote bar. Tables, booths, and chairs littered the area. Lanters hung from the cieling. A bar was squared in the center with stools around that. In the center of the bar is another smaller square with racks of alcohalic beverages and other drinks on 3 sides of it. The fourth side is framed a picture of an old man in sailor garb and a green clothed samurai-like woman. Right now, only the woman presently owns the bar.

As an additional note, the belly of 15ClawsGale is always shifting in dimensional time and space. Perhaps this is why it remains hidden so easily and just out of reach. Either way, if someone inside the belly becomes inactive for a certain period of time, the dimensional shift occures - leaving the space they were in suddenly clean and devoid of their presense. Where that avatar winds up is, well, completely up to the PG - as long as it's not in the tavern or the belly. Thought otherwise stated as a mystery.

-------

Amethyst - the woman formally introduced in the picture on the bar - sits at a table. The tavern was now empty. She hadn't had any business in a while. But that's alright, the woman could come and go as she pleased. Not to mention this place was far less dangerious than her time getting hunted on the outside of the world.

The tavern swayed back and forth. Lanterns in the place did as well. While Ame glanced over at a large bottle of seasick pills on the counter, she decided she wasn't getting too much of a headache.

The human female is sailing in a small dingy, minding her own busines. In fact the tomboy is sleeping under the sail, unaware of anything around her. The water starts to become violent all around her, and at first this doesn't wake Pen up, but the rushing water continuously hitting her face is hard to ignore.

She sits up, choking on a bit of water, and looks around at the sudden violent storm she's found herself in. She looks up to the sky, and realizes that there isn't a cloud in the sky. The disturbance is purely the waters... or what's *in* the waters. She looks over the edge of her dingy, and sees a monstrous shadow rather close. Too close for comfort. "This dingy isn't going to last much longer! I need something better, and Fast!"

She pulls out her remote from her back pocket. She points it at her boat, closes her eyes in a worried fashion, expecting the worst. *Click* Her dingy has now become a football, and she lands in the water with a splash. "Not what I wanted!!!"

*Click* Dan Rather *Click* a bicycle *Click* a watertube *Click* a monstrous ship. "Yes!"

The object comes up, jaws open, only then does she see the true size of the beast. "Oh nuts!"

Her ship is chopped in half with one half, her being on the half now inside the beast. She flies down the throat of the beast clinging onto anything she can. The torn ship lands in the acidic pool, and slowly drifts to shore while disintigrating at the same time. By the time she reaches the island, only a few planks are left as she balances herself to not fall in.

Landing safely, she takes a remainding plank out of the acid very carefully. Again, she uses her remote on it. A few clicks later the plank is back to being her skateboard. She notices the little tavern and since she has nothing else better to do, she steps inside.

She wastes no time in walking up to the bar. She runs a few fingers through her purple bangs before removing her helmet, letting down her brown hair. "Uh, hello? Anyone?"

She glances around, and spots Amethyst sitting at a table. "Do you own this place? After all that crap, I could really use a drink!"

*stomp* *stomp* *stomp*...

A figure slowly began to emerge from the murky depths...

The murk dispersed enough to reveal the figure of a man walking on the seafloor. His hands shoved in in his pockets, he looked for all the world like an Englishman enjoying a morning stroll. Oblivious to both the lack of oxygen and the crushing water surrounding him, he walks steadily across the ocean, kicking aside the occasional clam much as one would do to a soda can on the surface. He had heard there was something out here...

Just then a piece of wood floated down, followed by another, and yet another. Zarm looked up only to have half of a giant ship fall on him. Zarm searched the galley for any survivors before punching his way through the hull and back to the outside, where he caught a fleeting glimpse of the sea creature above. Activating his internal scanners, he wondered what kind of reward the sailors would give him; should he actually defeat this strange creature...

15 Claws Gale loomed in the water for a breif moment. It's massive body was pretty hulking huge (as if '2 times the size of a whale that isn't a native species to Earth' isn't enough to describe this). Extending it's massively decorated fins for a moment, the creature suddenly if not in dramatic silence... Swam off. Almost as if tredding water were as easy as skipping stones. The waters were silent for a moment - save for the rest of the boat that still lingered in its complete fall into the inky darkness.

Amethyst didnt' care much to look up as someone entered. Though the surprise that she had a visitor was pretty damn overwhelmingly intense. While the tavern didn't appear to shake uncontrollably, the lanterns indicated otherwise. There was a suddle creaking sound of the tavern walls. The creature was on the move.

Slowly standing as Pen called out to her in question, the traitorious supposed samurai woman finished off whatever she was drinking. After a deep breath of satisfaction, Ame replied, "yeah yeah..." before pacing over the bar, entering it, and - putting her own cup down - retrieved a goblet. Without asking what exactly Pen wanted, an interesting cocktail of ale, liqure, and pinapple was poured. She pushed the goblet to the other end of the bar and let the skateboard chick decide wether or not to pick it up.

Almost as soon as the water stilled, there was a piercing rush as the glowing bait along with the many eyes pierced the darkness that was engulfing the open seas. Following soon afterwards towards one's view was a split milisecond of rushing water and sharp teeth. With a rushed Boom on the ocean's bottom, 15 Claws Gale went on consuming what was left of PHD's tastey ship as well as Zarm in one massive gulp.

Inside the tavern, there was a muted booming sound... But nothing that intensely disrupted the place. Soon afterwards was a sound of rushing water as whatever Gale ate entered the stomach cavity. Amethyst steadied herself against the bar as the ground below her swayed gradually. Before cursing off, pacing over to the large bottle of seasick pills and taking two. Swallowed it down with, heh, another glass of alcohal. Give or take a sigh before the woman muttered with a mildly bothered gaze across the room, "Least it's better here than outside..."

PG note - this ain't Moby Dick, Zarm.

--------------------
Fate smiles cruely on this vagabond baikokudo
Optimism within her chest beats pulsing forward
Thrown against sword upon sword facing demons
Blown like the wind, caught in a mighty updraft
Destiny unclear, purpose unknown, a long path
Purity lost amidst the fresh blood soaked past

Befriended by few who in turn also lose their lives
Strong, beautiful, relentless, skillfull, and tranquil
Pursued by many who are blinded by her false reputation
Striving to survive despite the onslaught of constant death
Without home, without sanctuary, without hope, without love
A brightness that outshines her dismal existance soothes her

She takes the drink and the sudden movement of the tavern causes her to spill some of it on her before she gets the chance to drink any of it. "Oh nutbunnies!!"

She looks for a napkin to dry off her shirt, as she takes a drink of the concoction made for her. She nods in approval, although, she still hasn't found a napkin yet. "This is very good. Thank you. Don't suppose you charge for these, do you? I can pay, but if I have to pay, I'll steady my drinks a little farther apart. I'd hate to waste all my money at once."

She waits to become accustomed the swaying of the tavern before taking another drink. She tilts her head slightly in confusion to the statement made by Amethyst. "What's better than being outside? Even the outside has dry land that doesn't sway, and you can still get a good drink even outside. Not to mention, there's a few more people in here, than just us.."

Re: Deep Within The SeaMonster - Beast Tavern (open to all) new

Ame closed her eyes while retrieving a dry cloth from her sachel (which was under the bar). "Immediately outside there's more than enough water to drown in." Clearing her throat slightly, the woman opened her eyes to glance towards the other parton with not only a mild weariness, but intrigue as well. Pushed the cloth down the bar to Pen.

Took a moment to think out her response, reaching out for her glass wih free hand before realizing it wasn't there.. looked around briefly, found it, and - taking it - took a swig. "Outside on dry land it's still too dangerious... What with the assholes out there ruining what peace there is. Damn hunters..." With a momental curse, Ame decided not to get too far into why she likes it here better than outside. After all, she wasn't about to go around telling every stranger she meets that there's a huge bounty on her head. Amethyst finished her point with, "It's quiet here. For the most part."

Her dark green eyes settled down on PHD's skateboard. While Ame had been in the dream for a while now, there was still so many items and other such stuff she'd never seen before - being that she was living in old Edo previous to TheNightmare. Still, while she's never seen an actual skateboard, she can guess what it's used for. Though who knows, a skateboard may also be used as a weapon. She kept that in mind, placing hand to sword (once she's long free of the cloth) to make sure she still had it for protection if nessisary. Calmed down only marginally thereafter, lowering hand.

"Pay?" Ame pondered... Before waving it off... "Need to restock somehow... Though I wont overcharge." She pointed to a sign with a list of drinks and the short cheap prices listed beside them. While in itself this was unknowingly surpising, since Ame couldn't read... However, she was taught by the former oldman of an owner what to do if asked the question on payment for drinks.

She gladly takes the cloth from the bar, and cleans herself and the bar from the spilled alcohol. She pauses for a moment and thinks about the danger of the immediate outside, and then nods. "You have a point on that one. I'm sure the pressure alone would be enough to crush our bodies like twigs."

She starts to play with a wheel on her skateboard in ponderance. "Oh, sure there are assholes outside.. there are assholes everywhere, no matter where you go. The trick is to ignore them... or 'accidentally' run them over with your skateboard (She smiles mildly at the thought.).. But what about things to do? I'd think sitting in here doing nothing but drinking all day would sure have it's perks for a little while, but I'd think that I'd just get too damn bored in here. Then again, I've never boarded on the inside of a beast before. I wonder how this monster would take me skating up and down his spine..."

She stops playing with the skateboard and places it on the floor at the mention of the prices. She gets a little closer to the price list just for better visibility, and see what other concoctions this female knows how to make. Although, first, she reaches into her pockets, and pulls out a $20, and places it on the bar and slides it down a little. "Most of the drinks on the list are around $5, so I figure this will take care of this drink, and my next 3."

She returns to her seat, and leaves her skateboard on the floor. She picks up her drink and finishes it off semi quickly. She reaches and stretches her arms behind her head. She looks back up to Amethyst. "Hey, don't suppose you know how to make a marguarita, do you? And don't suppose you have some playing cards or anything do you??

Zarm hovered near the roof of the monster's belly.

oO(Heh heh heh...everyone knows it's easier to take care of things from the inside out!)

He was just about to blast his way back to the outside when he noticed the tavern.

oO(These creatures are real estate? Guess I can't take it in then. I still need some money...Maybe I can work something out with the barkeep?)

Mentally sighing, Zarm floated down to the island, and walked inside the door.

Upon noticing the two people inside, Zarm clenches his fists and raises up his arms...there is a hiss of escaping air, much like the brakes on a semi truck. Zarm walks up to the counter and sits down on the barstool.

"Looks like the air lock seal test was successfull."

After glancing around for a bit:

"So. What's the story behind this tavern, anyways?"

Ame paused at the thought of someone somehow pushing themself on a wheeled board up the inner acidic wall of a seamonster. But shrugged it off and shook her head towards it. Didn't bother to comment, however the woman did add a note to the outside world, "I do go outside occationally. This is just a safe haven. Supposedly, we run across different brands of the word '[censored]'" Raised her eyebrow towards PHD.

After the question about the margarita, the traitor to china, japan, and who-knows-what briefly cracked her knuckles. Thereafter rolling her shoulders to get tension out of that. All the meanwhile remembering how to make one. Turning partially away, Amethyst went on to blend 1 1/2 oz of gold tequila, 1/2 oz triple sec, and juice from a lime into a blender with a chalk full of crushed ice. "I don't think..." Turns blender on - glad that the old man taught her how to use the damn piece of machinery. She would've broken it otherwise. "...that your assholes..." Once blended, the woman retreived a cocktail glass from under the counter - having it breifly spin in the air while grasping the rest of the lime and some salt with other hand before catching it. "...tried to ambush and kill you..." Slides the rest of the lime along the edge of the glass, then dips the rim of the glass into the saucer of salt. "... at every bloody breath you take..." Thereafter opens blender and pours some of the drink, pushing it over to PHD.

This is when Zarm enters. So many visitors in one day. And this guy looked like a flipping geek. Wondered for a moment how the monster ever wanted to eat him, however letting it slide. Watched him with a skeptical eye as the unknowingly robotic man paced over, took a seat, and said something that didn't immediately make sense to her. Give or take a moment before the latter of his words bounced off Amethyst in question. ~least this filthy man speaks clearly...~ her thoughts rummaged on.

Taking a breath, she muttered out, "Story of the tavern? I didn't make it, that old man did" Her hand gestured towards the large picture of an oldman and Amethyst on the bare end of the inner bar's wall. "You could ask him... But he's dead..." She added in her naturally low voice with a sense of remorse.

Zarm arched an eyebrow.

"Dead?"

He was hoping to get some more information out of this woman, but he didn't need his sensors to inticate that she had a rather 'blunt' personality.

(Sorry for the delay, work sucks)

She listens to Ame's description of what Amethyst had pretty much listened to, while her marguarita was being made. She nodded to herself. Life would definitely suck if she was forced to live with that kind of life. The fishy tavern did grant some solitude from the influence of the outside world, and no one in their right mind would voluntarily check inside the belly of a monster for a criminal. Most would just assume that you'd be dead if you were swallowed up.

Before saying anything, she went to take a sip from her marguarita. Unfortunately, for her, that's when Zarm decided to let the air escape from his arms, causing her to jump, and spill, once again, her drink upon her. "Son of a motherless, god-[censored], [censored]-ing, [censored]-bag, [censored] - [censored]!!!"

She reaches for the rag again, to wipe off her shirt, again, and the countertop, again. Luckily, she hadn't spilled too much of her drink, just enough to upset her. She took a big drink from her glass, and set it down before looking at Zarm. "Would you mind warning people first before you do that? Not only did you almost give me a heartattack, but you made me spill my drink, for the second time tonight!"

She sighs, then listens to the short history of the tavern. Or at least the short knowledge of the history of the tavern. She looks at the picture of Ame and the old man. She gives a minor tilt of her head in respect for the deceased. "I take it that you two were rather close. I'm sorry to hear about his departure. Do you mind if I ask how he died? I'm hoping that it was just old age."

Ame shook her head temporarily, raising a hand to brush beigns out of the way for at least the moment. On closer inspecition - being if one were perceptive enough - they would notice a handful of scars decorating the woman's hand if not the rest of her arm and body. And once the hand was noticed to have scars, it was hard not to notice a few faded ones over her face as well. Namely down the forehead, past the tearduct of left eye, and down cheek, a few over her cheeks and down the chin, and one virtically over her lip. Though, as stated, the facial scars were very faded by now, so they must've either been expertly taken care of or been inflicted many years ago.

Her dark green eyes settled coldly on the two. Low alcohal-drentched voice muttering out a rather blunt, "I hated him. That filth of a man was a jerk."

The woman soon afterwards turned from the two to face the picture. A deep breath was taken before her hand was irrasitably traced to an opened bottle of what appeared to be sake. Once taken and dranken from, Amethyst finished with, "He got into a fight with a customer and lost." and left it at that. After all, she's told the story before and when ending it with 'he was so determined to die afterwards, so I threw him into the stomach acid like he wanted' they though her as an evil murderer and some took desperate measures to ruin her day.

Cleared throat for a moment.. took another swig of the bottle, and turned back around. She gestured towards Zarm, "So geek, what do you want to drink?"

Zarm turned to PHD, looking somewhat apologetic.

"Sorry... I couldn't speak when sealed like that."

Zarm slides up to a bar stool as Amythest begins her flashback. When she makes her offer, Zarm gives her an odd look.

"Well..I don't drink. I was actually looking for some work. There was a group of shippers who were going to offer me some money for the execution of this beast, but since you've settled here, I think I'll leave it alone."

As an after thought, Zarm added:

"You wouldn't happen to need any services, would you?"

Kai is walking through the forest on an exploratory stroll, enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. It's been a while since he's had the pleasure of simply walking around and exploring the Dream, much less with the pleasure of the company he is currently keeping.

At length they venture into a place with fewer trees and many more flowers. Not realizing this is claimed land, Kai moseys on into the glade curiously. "Smell those roses, would you?" he smiles. "This could almost be somebody's garden. Though...is it me, or does something feel a little strange around here?" He walks contentedly around a bit longer before noticing the door just standing there like a big, cartoon invitation. He lifts an eyebrow. "That might explain it. What do you think?" he turns to his companion and motions with his head at the door. "ACME labs? More experimentation?" He approaches the door with a mixture of curiosity and caution.

"Hmm. It looks like there might've been a sign here at some point..." he notes the marks on the doorframe. "Wonder what it said?" he ponders, looking around to see if it has perhaps fallen down. Not finding any traces of a sign, he puts a hand lightly on the door latch and turns to grin at Jeri. "Well, how about it? Shall we see what's on the other side?" Without waiting for a reply he operates the latch and swings the door open, then peers down into the laddered tunnel leading downwards. "Well. That's interesting," he remarks with another quirked eyebrow.

Jeri wanders behind Kai, just kind of lost with his head in the clouds.
"It always feels a little strange around here, love," he notes, "Except at home. It feels alot strange there."

He pauses in his walk as Kai opens the door, craning his neck to see over the human's shoulder. "Well, I don't have anywhere else to be today. I'll just prop the door with something so it dosen't close on us first, if you don't mind?"

"That sounds like a very good idea," Kai agrees. He waits for Jeri to find something to prop the door open, and then starts down the ladder, going first in case something dangerous is down there. "All we're missing is a white rabbit to follow down," he chuckles. "Where's Timon when you need him?"

She gives a mild nod in response to Ame's comment about her hatred for the deceased man. "Well, since I never met him, I'm just going to have to take your word on that. Although, I certainly hope he wasn't the person who gave you the minor scars of yours.."

She grimaces at her own comment. "Ick... Sorry about that. Not my business to talk about your scars.. physical or mental. But if that guy was a jerk, then he was a jerk."

She drinks her marguarita, and turns to Zarm. "At least give a warning of some kind. I've barely had two drinks, and I look like a sloppy drunk already. Of course the first spill was because of the beast, but that just takes some getting used to. Although, I think I might wait a little while on my next drink. God only knows what else is gonna happen."

She looks back at Ame. "I'm guessing it's usually quiet around here, so you don't usually get a lot of trouble in the bar do you? If the place ever fills up, you could always use this guy *points to Zarm* as a bodyguard when you're too busy bartending. Don't you think?"

"gave me a few scars?" Ame blinked confusedly at the skateboarding woman before she burst out into laughter. Mind you, it was temporary - and a very rare occation. She patted the barcounter a moment and once calmed, corrects the situation, "That bastard couldn't hurt me if he tried." and let it rest at that.

Zarm's inquireys of working here were shaken off as Ame waved her hand on its' edge left to right infront of her face (sign of saying 'no' in japanese)"iie. You gotta drink if you wanna work here... Disrespectful to the ale otherwise.." This was only a halftruth. In full fact, the woman never wishes to drink alone. Though that would bring up an arguement towards the beginning of this thread, ne? Since Amethyst was seen drinking when PHD entered. This is explained by the next paragraph.

There is a significant 'ding' sound, much like something hitting a bell. This caused Amethyst to look up momentarily, before going to get herself another glass of sake... Her eyes closed, muttering with that of an occupied headache, "This place it busy today"

(Not sure how long this is going to be, since I don't have a whole lot to work with)

She tilts her head in a mild shrug. "As long as he didn't push you around, that's fine with me."

She hears the bell noise and looks around. She doesn't see anything immediately, but she catches the last part of Ame's statement as she gets herself some sake. Realizing now what the bell meant, she downs the rest of her drink, and then looks back up to Ame. "I think I could use a hit of that myself.. Crowds have never been one of my favorite places to be. I just hope that they at least drink. I'd hate to be the only drunken fool here."

She slowly glances around, waiting to see who else was (still???) coming in.

The tavern rocks within the belly of 15ClawsGale as, without a sound or hint of it happening, all members inside the belly mystically poof out of existance. Except for, well, Ame and PHD - who were still presently active.

Amethyst, meanwhile, holds onto the bar as the tavern rocks. Before glancing over towards where Zarm once was, to see he isn't there. Dammit all, just as the place Looked it like was going to become active again, people slip into mysterious oblivion.

Once the tavern is steady does the woman retrieve a new bottle of sake, uncork it, and take a long swig. Before glancing towards PHD, "Looks like it wont matter now."

Meanwhile, an ominus red bulb at the corner of the bar starts to flick on and off.

Completely unprepared for the sudden lurch, Pen completely falls out of her stool at the bar, with a mild cry, and hits the floor with a loud Thud. The only thing left visible for the moment is Pen's right hand, which clings onto the bar as if it was the only thing stopping her from falling into oblivion. After a minute or so, she finally rises from the floor, looking visibly shaken, but not hurt. "What on Earth was that about??"

She sits on the barstool again, and yet again crashes to the floor. Standing up, she sees that the barstool broke from her first fall. She shrugs, and pulls out her remote control. The barstool changes into a water bottle, a painting of the Mona Lisa, a web cam, a confused Litty Kinnles, a remote control, a lounge chair, and finally a fixed barstool. Satisfied, she puts the stool up to the bar and sits down again. "I really wish that I could get exactly what I wanted with the first click.."

After she settles down again, she sighs. "Okay, now what was that sudden lurch about? What is this monstrous thing think he's doing, Barrel rolls??"

"Probably" amethyst muttered while taking a swig of what she was last holding in a glass. Her eyes were placid. It was completely clear she was drunk and in a sedaitively effectful way.

However, this didn't stop her from raising an interested eyebrow towards Pen's remote controllive actions. Almost freaked out at it in the beginning. But when the fixed barstool was there and Pen sat down, Ame knew it was over.

But before she could ask anything, the woman first finished herself, "It does that sometimes, I loose alotta customers that way.." with a muttered curse.. Til starting her next obvious question, vision completely obscured by the controller in PHD's hand.. "What's that all about again?" not sure if she was already told it's significance already. Alcohal has that effect.

the red light continued to flicker unabaited.

She looks at her remote, and then smiles. "This? It's a magical remote controller. It'll turn anything into another item. The only problem with it is that the changed object is completely random. I sometimes have to click 20 times just to get what I want it to be."

She leans ever so slightly on her stool, and smiles remembering something. "I won this, you know.. from a bet. I bumped into a gambling ghoul while at a haunted skatepark in the middle of the night. We had a contest to see who could do better at boarding."

She holds up her skateboard in case Ame has any question as to what she was talking about. She kept the pause another second just for the memory. "I take pride in my boarding, and I wasn't going to pass this chance up. The prize for winning, was of course, that I got the magical remote to keep. If I lost, he would turn me into one of his random objects, mostly different ramps and whatnot."

Ame listened to the story. Quite amused by it, infact. The cold murderious and otherwise foreboding eyesight she held before gave to a move curious child nature. Nodding every once a while. And stating with disbelief in the pause PHD gave, "It must have been easy beating a ghoul. They're already dead and falling apart.." adding in a pair of furrowed brows towards that.

Looking now at the skateboard, Amethyst listened to the rest to only shiver at the end... "Why would he..." Before... Well... Going to the ultimate question, glancing at teh woman.. "Ano...

What IS skateboarding, anyway?"

First factor in the woman never left Japan.. Then the fact that she lived around the 1830's before entering The Dream. If culture shock doesn't at first come to mind, then the fact that her knowledge on up to date stuff is far beyond her.

The red light continued blinking on and off.
