3Z - Dominica Domina Divina
My Latin is rusty, but that ought to be accurate for Ceera's Room.

Honey smiles at the goddess' agreement, then when she sees the simple purple robe with those white foxes, she claps her hands and hops once in place. "Oh, that looks great! Of course its your colors rather than hers, but she's pale enough now that its perfect!"

"I hope Magnus is okay! I feel kind of bad for leaving him now. Do what you have to, Silver. Ceera and I can take care of Rhiann," Honey calls to her exiting coworker.

She turns back from the door just in time to see Rhiann fumbling with the simple robe. "Oh, here, you've got it on backwards," the lapine explains while assisting the newly made human in removing the garment. "Don't feel bad - I used to do the same thing as a kit. Thank goodness I was only the daughter of a baron - I've heard of some Duchesses and Princesses that have never dressed themselves in their entire life. They'd be as lost as you. Here, let me show you."

Assuming Rhiann allows her to do so, she demonstrates the process. "See how I hold it?" She demonstrates holding the robe in one paw and slipping the other paw down the appropriate sleeve. "You have to make sure you choose the correct sleeve, then you can pull it around like this...and slip your arm into the other sleeve." Taking it off again, she hands the robe back to Rhiann with an encouraging smile. "Now you try."

Maus' Tour Group

Almy finally snaps out of her "trance-like" state she's been in most of the tour at the possibility of a chance at astronomy.

"Ooh! Observatory? Neat!" she says, smiling and bouncing just a bit- still being careful of her belly, however.

Ayita perks up slightly when she hears WalksFar's brief mention of astronomy. Her people have a strong interest in the stars and night sky in general. She makes a mental note to stick close to the odd dragon-like woman that the armored Honey had left her with and the Choukansi.

Produce & Herb Garden

Karol ponders Kara's comments, used to such ramblings from her own children. "Well, salmonberries might be the same color as salmon, and maybe someone named Marion was the first one to find marionberries. We could try to look it up when we get to the library. I'm not sure what raspberries are named after, really."

{EDIT: Oops! I see Honey posted while I was taking my time composing this post. Sorry Honey! I didn't mean to tread on your paws, dear! I guess Rhiann can decide which of us assisted her, or maybe we both did. I'll leave my post alone, but wanted to explain why I didn't respond to Honey's post. /EDIT}

Room 3Z
The girls in apartment 3Z?

*Giggle* "No no, Rhiann! The opening goes in front, and the belt ties in front of your waist. Remember, you don't have to allow for a tail or wings in your current form. Here, let me help you."

Ceera goes to Rhiann and helps her to remove the robe and put it on the right way.

"That's right. Your right arm goes in the other sleeve, and then you bring it around your back and place your left arm in the remaining sleeve. See? Here, I'll tie the belt."

The young Goddess stands behind Rhiann as she helps her dress, and wraps her arms around the girl's waist as she ties the belt in place. She gives Rhiann a brief hug from that position when the belt is tied, then steps away and in front of her.

"There! That's how it goes. You look fine. Shall we go see what sort of clothes we can find? We'll make several selections, and then you can bring them back here to try on in comfort."

Rec Center Roof - Maus Merryjest's tour

Maus gets an odd look on his face, then looks downward, before smiling at his tour group.

"Well! Good news! I do believe that Jorick has returned to the restaurant! Would you like to go back down there and meet him, and perhaps get something to eat?"

Now that he's been unpacked, configured and installed, all Kima needs is someone to aid. Of course, sooner or later he'll need to meet up with the other administrators. He directs his attention to Krinele for a moment.

"It is recommended to complete the imprinting process without delay. I an unable to find a format for requesting an appointment with Karol Luis, Sarah Darkwynde, Ceera Darkwynde. Please advise."

Once Krinele has answered that question, Kima turns to Arden. "Can I provide assistance?"

Hallway outside Infirmary

Silver Fox stepped back as Magnus Faustus started lurching and slamming his head against the ceiling. "Sir, this is not aiding the problem in any way. You do not need any such person to take care of the problem, now please calm yourself." she said as she crossed her arms, waiting.
"And you are destroying the infirmary as well with all your thrashing about." she informed Magnus. "If you will calm down there is a reasonable explanation for all that has happened." her voice remained calm as she watched him.

Maus's Tour Group - Rec Center Roof

Noticing the sudden activity from Almerane and Ayita, Francis is distracted from the action on the ground level outside the infirmiry, and almost misses the sudden appearance of a largish green dragon's tail.

Then he begins to wonder what Ellian's reaction will be to the change in their group.

And then Maus tells them about the Tropical Dream opening, and he is distracted again. "I would like that, Mr. Merryjest, but I'll go along with whatever the group decides."

He paused for a moment, and caught sight of the tail again. "Mr. Merryjest, would you have any idea what is going on down there?" He pointed over the side of the building. "From here it appears the building has suddenly sprouted a tail."

If there happens to be a small telescope on that corner of the rooftop, Francis will give it a try.

Maus's Tour Group - Rec Center Roof

There is indeed a telescope close to Francis, with which he could look at the green dragon tail that just extended out of the other building. And this is what he sees down there...

Outside the infirmary's garage-door-sized entrance

Sarah steps out of the way as Magnus' tail flops out into the open. From where Francis is observing her from, she looks like perhaps a young teenager, or perhaps a pre-teen girl, less than four feet tall.

"Magnus? I want you to relax. I'm going to try to pull you out of there. Just try to go limp, OK?"

Walking around to where she should be able to get a good line of action, Sarah invokes a shapeshift on herself, reverting to her non-anthro red dragon form. Her body becomes wreathed in black flames as she enlarges and changes in shape.

Still affected by the shrinking spell, she is not as large as usual for her, but still quite a sight to behold - 50 feet from nose to tail tip, with a serpentine body at least six feet wide, and powerful legs that span at least 13 feet wide from claw to claw. And then there are her wings, with a span of 33 feet. Unlike her 'sister' Ceera, Sarah's draconic form has normal dragon wings, and not the feathered, firey wings of the phoenix.

She grasps the base of Magnus' tail with one foreclaw, and his ankle with another, and begins to back away from the Center, trying to drag Magnus out by sheer muscle power.

"Come on. MOVE!" she calls out to Magnus, her voice a low draconic growl.

"Oh, that sounds like a good idea. I like libraries. Are there magic books in the library? And books about dinosaurs. I'd like to have a dinosaur; if I could find a skeleton, I could make one, maybe. I don't know where I'd keep it, though." Kara picks some more strawberries and puts them in the pocket of her dress. "What else are we going to see today?"

Jorick blinks when he notices the woman he's been looking at has started looking back at him. Reaching into the grocery bag, he pulls out a couple of folded up paper towels.. one to wrap the skins and seed of the mango in, the other to clean off his hands and face. When he finds himself slightly sticky yet presentable, he stands up, setting the two wads of paper towels under the grocery bags to be thrown away later, and walks over to Jacquetta.

"Ahem... excuse me miss.. but I couldn't help but notice you look a bit lost.. and confused... and perhaps disoriented as well. Is there anything I can help you with?"

Jacquetta paused before answering him, sorting out what to say. Well, on the up side, if he's buying things, he's not necessarily part of the big conspiracy. And he's a cook of some sort, so I've got to have more in common with him than anyone else I've met here.

She gives him a quick nod. "Good ..afternoon. I'm Jacquetta" How does anyone tell time if the sun never changes I wonder.

"I am a little confused. I've only been here a short while, and I've found it doesn't make a lot of sense." The cultists arn't exactly subtle, so at least I'll know quickly what he is.

Blinking, Jorick snickers a bit, as if having heard some sort of funny joke. Blushing fiercely, he shakes his head and sighs. "Everyone goes through that... it's culture shock, more or less. Why don't you sit with me? I just grabbed some things from the supply rooms for the restaurant upstairs."

Grinning, he looks back to his bags of groceries. "I am the head chef of the Tropical Dream restaurant, which is upstairs. I'll admit.. this place can be a bit weird, if you aren't used to blatant displays of magic, odd sentient beings, and strange things happening every so often... but apparently, if what everyone says is correct, and I'm not one to question things unless they are dangerous mind you, this place is some sort of Dream of some pan-dimensional being called the Napping Cat."

Shrugging, he takes a seat near the statue, where his groceries were, and pats the area next to him. "Personally, I don't know what to beleive... but then, I'm not about to question it when furry people whom never existed on my home world-slash-dimension say its so. So! What odd circumstances bring you to this place, hmm? Are you any sort of supernatural person, or just a powerless human like myself?"

Indoor Pool Building en route to Rec Center

Quote:

Carmika said:
"My eyes? Born like that, far as I know," She turns around, walking backwards more slowly as she reaches up to pull her sunglasses off, giving Hazel a good look at the slowly changing oilslick colored spots where her iris and pupil should be. "They're... special. My parents thought I was blind at first, since I never reacted to anything visual."

She offers the sunglasses to Hazel to look at, still walking backwards. "Make sure I don't bump into anything, please? It may not hurt, but getting up after falling down is still hassle, yes?" Grinning, she keeps going with her explanation. "Turned out it wasn't that I wasn't seeing anything, I was seeing everything. Light, Infrared, Ultraviolet, AM, FM, gamma bursts, microwaves... the whole spectrum, all at once. With the right settings on those I can even 'see' magnetic fields and electromagnetic fields. Neat trick, especially since I'm an electrician."

Hazel divides her attention between the glasses, Carmika’s eyes and any obstacles, hopefully avoiding any pitfalls from all of them. “That’s amazing,” she declared, taking a close look at the glasses. They were certainly of a very advanced technology. Resisting the urge to further investigate the glasses, she handed them back to Carmika. “Very neat. Maybe after we’re through with the tour I could look at those a bit closer.”

Culture shock is one word for it. Jacquetta nods and moves to sit next to Jorick, her brief hope quickly extinquished. He is one of them. She looks towards the door. Maybe I should just leave. But wandering around half starved in the countryside again isn't going to do me any good either.

Nothing to do but play along.. "Someone mentioned the restaurant. I'm a chef myself. If I ever get on my feet here, I'll probably open up my own restaurant."

"Well, the philosophy of the place I can sort out later. I'm more concerned with food, shelter, the basics. I have a room here of course." But I'm not staying here longer than I have to. Sure, everything you want is free. But what happens when they take it away and you have no resources? Or maybe in six months they present me with a bill.

"If you're a powerless human," Jacquetta comments wryly. "Then you're the first." She pauses, remembering the one human she'd been able to feed on. "Second I've met here. And I'm not human, anymore. I'm vampire."

She tells him casually, as if it were of less import than her occupation.

Blinking, Jorick glances at Jacquetta, raising a brow curiously. "A vampire hmm? That must make being a chef difficult, if you cannot taste what you make." Patting his belly, he chuckles. "Course.. eating good food and tasting it every so often is what made me this.. healthy."

Sighing, Jorick looks around and shakes his head. "This place is still uncomfortable to me at times... still getting used to it you know. They say everything is free, and everything is provided... I dislike things being handed to me easily, which is why I work as head chef. In a way, it serves a dual purpose... one is I get a place to serve food to masses, and secondly, I feel as if I'm earning my keep."

Glancing at Jacquetta, he gives a soft smile. "Say, you are the type of vampire that can't really move about in sunlight, right? Well.. being the kind of person who can't stay up twenty-four hours a day.. I've been looking for a talented chef to do night shift. Is there any chance you may be interested, at least til you have a place of your own? If you want, we could even work out terms of payment, though I'm afraid I don't have much in the way of monetary compensation."

Infirmary Corridor -> Outside

"I got a perfectly good explanation for this.." Magnus snaps, "My 'guardian' is a-"

He was about to say something obscene but then he suddenly felt a pinching sensation on his tail and foreleg. He yelps a little, as he is suddenly dragged backwards, and suddenly scrunched up in the door.

"Ooof!!" He responds as he is uncomfortably tugged backwards, his skin stretching and his bones contorting as he pops backwards through the doorframe into the Infirmary with a crash.

The second period of resistance should be when Magnus is dragged through the Infirmary and his torso and wings get jammed up in the door. He winces, pulls his wings tight against himself, then sucks in his midsection, causing a strange popping noise as he suddenly comes loose, and he is thrown back towards Sarah.

"AAACK!" He yells as he tumbles free, possibly plowing through Sarah as he does so, and rolls uncontrollably into the nearby woods before coming to a stop, dizzy beyond belief.

If Sarah comes to check on how he is, she will find him alright, but disoriented. His eyes swirling visibly, as he appears likely to either faint or throw up from the ordeal he was just dragged through.

Hallway to Infirmary

Silver Fox was about to hold up a finger to keep Magnus from saying anything further when he was suddenly pulled through the doorway and disappeared. She raised an eyebrow and followed only to see him disappear out the large entry door that led outside.

"Well, that is one way of getting him out of the infirmary." she mused as she lend against the doorway, shaking her head at the mess he left behind. "Ooh my." she whispered as she walked in and started picking up items.

Jacquetta nods. "Before I came here, I had an arrangement that allowed me to drink the memory of the meals I would prepare." And hopefully some day I'll have that again. I miss tasting things properly. "I understand that is not allowed on this premisis." Though this should be a place where I could drink with no harm, if what they said about the wards is true.

"I am not accustomed to a leisurly life myself. I will end up cooking whereever I am, I simply prefer to be paid for it." I'm not going to give up my independance for free room and blood, in any case.

She nods again at Joricks next words. The type? How many kinds of vampire does he think there are? Unless he knows something that I don't...

"The sun would normally kill me, yes. It's quite a substantial magic to prevent it from harming me here." Not as much as stopping the sun, but still pretty good to me.

"They had offered me a position here, taking over the cafeteria, but a more formal experience is what I prefer. I'd like to see the facility, but we could discuss an agreement." He's willing to pay me at least. So maybe he's not part of the cult. Or he is, and this is a softer sell. This place makes my head hurt.

"I would require some recompense. I dislike being without.. resources." Cab fare to the nearest city and enough for a hotel room for a few days would be a start on an escape route, if it becomes necessary.

Thinking a moment, Jorick seems to calculate a few things mentally. Scratching the back of his head, he nods a bit and smiles.

"Tell you what... I'll show you the Restaurant, let you get a feel for the layout... if you don't like it or feel you can do better, you don't have to worry. But, if you like it, or find it managable as lng as some changes are made, then we can do some negotiations. And... um... you can even make an arrangement with me as part of the payment. It would have to be when we switch shifts, so once at dusk and once at dawn... but at least in this way, you can taste again."

Standing up, Jorick stretches, before grabbing his groceries, smiling at you. "We can even discuss some form of monetary payment.. I'm sure I can find something that can be considered of worth, though it would have to be traded for actual cash should you find someplace that does so."

"Well, there's a little bit of everything in the library." Karol wanders further along the path with Kara-chan. "I'm sure there will be a few books on dinosaurs. I liked them a lot too at your age. Do you have a favorite? Mine would be stegosaurus."

"Lets see.. We've one more section of the garden here, and then the fairy garden on the roof, then we go over to the Rec Center. The library is on the second floor there."

They step in to the Meditation Gardens, which are full of arbors and benches to rest in. There's a waterfall trickling into a goldfish pond, and a little zen rock garden along one wall.

(Yes, I'm still here ^^ Didn't have anything creative to add to the situation until now)

Infirmary Hallway

*Blink* ....... *Blinkblink*

"What in the...?!" Alicia starts, seeing Magnus practically ripped through the hallway.

She was still small. She'd gotten the message about a spell gone awry... but the sight before her was far more confusing than anything she'd witnessed before. She ran down the hallway, out the Atrium doors, and onwards towards the bewildered dragon, kneeling at his side.

Outside

"A-Are you o-okay?!?!" she manages to stutter. Her eyes seem very afraid.

After gathering an armful of supplies that were scattered about, Silver Fox made her way outside to see to Magnus.

Outside

"Now then, let's see if you are injured after that." she said in a quiet voice as she kneeled by Magnus, looking at the young lady who had come running out as well.
