Dinner Date (Jak and Arrow only please)

((A largish cloud of dust rises in the room as Jaks PG dusts off his computer. We'll see how this goes.))
*Jak stands in his bedroom, nearly ready to go. Black pants, white shirt with silver cufflinks. His black silk tie is still loose in his collar as he ties his shoes and swipes the few stray smudges off the toe. He doubted it would be needed, but his 1911 sat in its sharkskin holster behind the point of his left hip, out of habit. Jak tightens his tie and grabs his keys. His jacket is still on a hanger and is carried to his truck, with a short pause to scritch Rusty. 15 minutes before he was to pick Arrow up, Jak's truck pulls out of the garage. A short time later Jak is standng by the open passanger door of his truck parked at a specific spot near the woods; waiting for a certain lovely Elf.*

*Off in the woods not far from where Jak was waiting, is Arrow getting ready for her date. She smiled as she began to fix up her hair. Her hair was in a soft up do, using ivy to hold it in place elegantly. Soon a few violet colored flowers bloomed from the ivy adding to her look. Her dress she was simple, a halter top design, sapphire blue in color the fabic made with a bit of shimmer to it. The dress was knee length her feet bare foot at the moment, her black open toe heels were in her hand. Arrow even did her nails for this date. A nice shimmery pearl tone that would not clash with the outfit.
Looking up to see a squirrel on a branch of the tree in front of her she twirled around showing the animal the dress* "How do I look my friend?" *the squirrel squeeked and jumped a bit down the tree getting a clutch purse in hand offering it to the elf* "Oh thank you. Wish me luck." *She spoke before walking through the woods to meet her date. She steped out seeing Jak there standing by the passenger side of the truck. Giggling she moved to him a bit quicker to give him a hug* "Hello there Jak. I hope I am not late"

*Jak meets Arrow's hug and scoops her up off the ground with a twirl. Arrow's twirl/hug will end with her being gently placed in the truck.*
"Of course you aren't late. Nothing could happen until you got here, so whenever you arrived was 'on time'."
*Jak walks around the truck, gets in and starts it up.*
"You were supposed to pick the restruant, remember?"

*Arrow giggled as she was twirled and placed into the truck. She reached to put on the seat belt as she heard him say it was her turn to pick the place to eat.* "Darn...I was hoping you would forget" *She giggles some more thinking* "How about this nice chinese restuarant I heard about. I believe it is called: 'The Dragons Jade' It could be a good place." *She moved her hand over to put on Jak's right thigh near his knee as she smiles.*

*Jak began driving towards Anycity, resting his hand on top of Arrow's he drives on one handed, except for the turns. within a couple minutes, the forest gives way to the suburbs of the large city.*
"Ok, we are coming up on the city limits. You'll have to guide me a bit. I think I know where its at, but I'm not sure. I don't really get into town that often. Guess we are a bit alike that way."
*Jak will listen to Arrow's directions if she has them. Traffic is light and there should be no problems getting through town.*

*She laughs* "Like you just said we are both alike with that. I dont know the city at all. I think my friend said it was near the park. I do hope I am remembering that right." *looking from the window she watches building and signs passing.*

*Jak turns a corner, at Arrow's direction. The next block does not line up with this street, so it forms a T-intersection. Straight ahead the two of them can now see a large Chinese-style gateway. done in reds, and gold with plenty of scroll work, the gate is flanked by a pair of golden dragons, each about 5ft tall, with a jade orb in its mouth.*
"I'm going to go out on a limb here and say your directions were right."
*Jak pulls the truck through the gate and into the parking lot.*

*Arrow laughed getting out and walked with Jak to the door of the restaurant. There a 6 foot tall blue dragon in traditional chinese clothing stood smiling to them.* "Welcome to the Dragons Jade! Let me please take you to your table" *The dragon grabbed to menu's with his tall as he led the couple into the dinning room area.
The room had at least 5 tables with family and other couples eating already. It was a large room softly lite by lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Other dragons moved around with plates on their hands, tails and heads bringing food to some tables. The Blue dragon showed Jak and Arrow to a corner booth that was near a small indoor pond and had real bamboo growing nearby.*
"Your waiter will be here in a moment. Please enjoy" *Arrow picked up the menu and smiled to Jak reaching for his hand* "This looks like a very nice place. I love this pond" *she looks to the koi fish swimming about in it*

*Jak pulls out Arrow's chair for her, before taking his own seat and looking around.*
"Yes, it does look lie a nice place, the pond is a nice touch too. Look, there is a hole in the wall under the water in the pond, the fish can swim outside if they want."
*Jak picks up the menu, groans a bit, and sets it down. Taking out a pen he begins witing slowly, letter by letter on a notepad. The waiter arrives as Jak is still writing.*
"Good evening, Ma'am, Sir, my name is Tatsuya, and I'll be your waiter. Can I get you anything to start off with?"
"Yes, Tatsuya-san, we'd like a bottle of sake, 2 glasses of water, an order of Shrimp shumia to start off with. And, a couple more minutes to translate this menu."
*The dragon gives a small chuckle, and reaches out to the menu in front of Jak. Flipping it over, he reveals the same menu, in English.*
"Oh...well...that works too, I guess"
"I'll be right back with your appitizers."

*Arrow couldn't help but laugh at Jak.* "You were going to try to translate the whole menu? That is amazing!" *Smiling she begins to look at the menu. After a bit she looks up from it* "I do believe Chow mein with some fried rice would be a good dish to get. What will you get Jak?" *she looks to him with silver eyes now*

*Jak puts away his pen and notepad. He picks up the menu and studies it for a few more seconds, this time looking at the English side.*
"No, not the whole thing. I was going to skip over the salad and soup sections. I never order from them anyway. I think the sweet&hot chicken sounds good, as long as its balanced well. I'll ask the waiter when he returns."
*Tatsuya returns carrying a tray. He places the appitizer in between them, and a water glass at each place. he purs one glass of sake and offers it first to Arrow.*
"Would you care for a glass of sake as well ma'am?"
*He will set it in front of he if she accepts, then pour Jak's glass and set the bottle on the table. should Arrow decline Jak gets that glass.*
"Can you tell me about the sweet&hot chicken? How hot are we talking here?"
"You won't be breathing fire, if that's what you are asking sir. That's our trick. It's got a bit of heat at the beginning but finishes off sweet. Not bad, but you will know its supposed to be a hot dish."
"Thank you, Sir."
"You're welcome. I'll be back in a few minutes for you order, enjoy the shrimp."

*Arrow giggles* "Oh course I should have known you would have skipped the soup and Salad portion of the menu." *The waiter Tatsuya soon comes out offering the sake, she bows her head some* "Yes please." *she smiles listening to him now answer Jak's question. When he leaves she reaches for one of the shrimp* "Does that sound like a dish you will want to order Jak?"
