Ixchel smiled and took his hand standing up with him. She murred and hugged him while pressing into him gently. Her fingertips ran up and down his back as he spoke and she purred as he talked about their prey.

"I say we do it, and we feast."

She let out a dark chuckle and pulled back before kissing him deeply. Turning, she moved out of the cave with a sway to her hips as she started down the path down the mountain.

"Yes..." he murmured, pausing for a few seconds to watch her walk ahead of him. Grinning, he grabbed his walking stick and headed down the mountain with her.

The two began to trek around the outskirts of the jungle, favoring clearings and higher ground. The earth within was still rather puddle filled and muddy. It would simply take too long with too much energy not to use detours.

"We'll need to create a distraction. Someone is going to have to get the sloth's attention and lead it away while the other takes down a peccary. I don't think I need to tell you which the harder one is. That sloth can wreck small trees by itself. We'll also need to be wary of the briars in that area. Oh, they're easy to see, and quite large, but it marks a border on a forbidden zone and it wouldn't be smart to run in there, even if the sloth couldn't follow."

"I'm ready to give an effort to either, but... lady's choice!" he said with a grin.

Ixchel looked about as the two treked on. She took a slow deep breath as they came to the edge of the forbidden lands and she crouched as they stood overlooking the area.

Her eyes moved over the creatures down below and she tilted her head to the side as primal noises slipped from her throat. She really didn't know the lay of this land very well, and she really wasn't that quick to get away.

"You know the lay of the land better then I."

She took a slow breath and stood up crossing her arms over her chest.

"You are more agile then I and you have more tricks up your sleeve. You would do better to distract."

Ixchel licked her lips and let out a slight hungerish moan.

"I'll make the kill."

Her tongue slipped out and ran over her lips as her body shuddered with antiipation.

"Okay then. It's a plan. The sloth follows the peccaries, not the other way around. Ingrates, heh. So I'll lead him off (and goodness knows, I'll have the adrenalin for it when I see him) and you grab yourself one of those little guys."

The two headed deeper into the jungle to the appropriate area, just on a border of large overgrown viney thorns which seemed to indicate the forbidden zone Zim mentioned. The ground was a little wet here, but otherwise suitable for walking. Muddy little hoof tracks could be seen about, as well as something deep and ponderous looking. "Giant sloth tracks. Let's try to meet back at the clearing before the mountainside, since I've going to be doing so some significant running to give you time."

"Alright, I'll spook them in your direction. Get ready, Ix!" He gave her a quick kiss and then hopped onto a trunk, climbing up into the canopy. Moments later, he could be heard jumping from branch to branch.

A few minutes passed, with no sign or indication of anything. That is, until a sound of frantic squealing came to her ears. About 500 feet in front of her, a small herd of wild jungle pigs dashed in her general direction, and likely, soon away from it when they would come to see her move. They were skittish and somewhat small, and fortunately not tusked in anyway. Kind of helpless, really, save for their running speed. Maybe the sloth took pity on them? In any event, their burly protector was no where to be found, and it was up to her to snag a peccary for their meal!

Ixchel nodded and murred softly as he kissed her. She watched him disappear into he trees and silently wished him the best. Collapsing to the ground slightly, she whimpered a bit as her body slipped from human to her naga form.

Panting a bit, her eyes snapped upward as the little pigs started toward her. There was a good number of them and she quickly moved into the pack. They squeeled and ran around and away from her and she wasn't able to catch one. However, she had managed to scratch at least two pigs causing poison to be injected into the system.

Following the herd, she watched as two of the pigs staggred and fell toward the ground. Moving toward one of them, she quickly jumped upon it and sank her teeth in. Ixchel fed hungerily where they lay. The primal need and thrill of the hunt had taken her over. She was intoxicated by the food and completly unaware of anything around her.

The pig let out a suqeel as she bit into its neck before it fell silent forever as its throat got ripped out. The other laid upon the ground in agony as the poison started to take its toll. It would only be a few moments untill the pig was dead just like its other.

"Why did I agree to this?!" Zim asked of himself as he dashed within the jungle tree canopy.

"BaaaaaawwwWWWoooguhhh..." It was the groan of the giant ground sloth, an implacable 20ft mammalian tank. It probably didn't even realize what was going on with the herd it desired to protect. Zim merely got in front of it and that was enough to set it off. It broke branches and swiped trees with claws strong enough to slay a smilodon. It was incredibly strong, but fortunately a bit clumsy. Zim knew he might not fair so well on the muddy ground. The branches provided solid cover, after all. There was no sense even trying blood magick on it. It would take too long and he doubted anything would be worth it. And he certainly wasn't going to use lethal force. The sloth did nothing wrong, after all.

"I hope Ix is doing all right," he commented aloud to himself, jumping from a branch before it was shorn from the trunk. "She must be confident enough to catch one of the critters on her own, using her talents. Gah, I hope that last controlled transformation wasn't a fluke."

Swinging to a higher tree at last, Zim watched the beast shake and claw at the tree, hoping to shake him off. "Okay, you can go home now. Please?"

It wasn't far to the clearing now. He just had to make sure it went back the way it came.

Ixchel litterally devowered at least half the pig in a matter of a few mintutes. The most that was left were the entrails, head, back side, and a few other parts. Most of the edible stuff was gone.

Standing up a bit and covered in the boar's blood, she looked toward the other dead creature and moved over to it. Taking a vine from a tree, she tied the boar and placed it on a large plant leaf. Grabbing the vine rope, she slithered off with the kill making her way toward the marked clearing.

Within 15 minutes, she was at the agreed meeting place and looked around hoping to find Zim already there and waiting.

Zim thought the brute would never lose interest before the tree would fall from battering. But fortunately, he was wrong, and it gave up in a grunt, going back to look for it's charges.

Making sure it was gone, the shaman slid down the tree and headed out to the clearing. Ixchel was already waiting with what looked like a peccary, so he was glad the plan worked. He also noted that unsurprisingly, she was in naga form. While believing she was stable, he approached tentatively, and greeted her at a distance.

Ixchel sat with the kill and her hands rested up on her tail. Frowing, she started to think the worse before Zim came into her sight. Smiling, Ixchel reverted back to human and stood. Running toward him, she threw her arms around him and giggled happily that he was alright.

Murring, she pulled back and looked up toward him with blood drying upon her chest, hands, neck, and face.

"You're ok!"

She suqealed with delight before moving back and pointing at the boar.

"I got him! I actually got two...but I kinda ate the first one..."

She blushed and looked down a bit toward the ground a bit embarassed.

Zim gave the girl a hug and spun her around. "Nicely done- wait, you ate one already?" He glanced towards a peccary and then at the significant blood smeared on her. Woah...

"Impressive. I don't know if you can call that fast food or not, but that must've been a sight. I, um, guess you don't want the other one?"

"I was planning on roasting it, personally. Never did the raw flesh thing much, m'self."

"It would be nice to cook by the cave, I imagine, but fire would attract those two giants who live there. The jungle clearings the only other safe spot I've got prepared for fire, so are you ready to head back, Ix?"

Ixchel blinked a bit and looked back toward the other she has brought back. Looking back toward him, she tilted her head to the side and nodded softly.

"Yeah. I am."

Hugging him once more, she nuzzled her head under his chin. Closing her eyes and murring softly, she kissed his throat before moving toward the rope and picking it up once more.

"Which way?"

Zim looked at her with a soft expression. She was covered with blood and just eviscerated a whole pig. Heck, she could have been covered with mud too and carried it's head around like a toy, and he probably would have still regarded her pleasantly.

"This way. We can clean you up in a puddle along the way," he announced. "Anyway, it's just a few miles east. Shouldn't be hard to cross even with porky here."

And so, they left the more open areas of the refuge to the shadowy jungle. Little did they know, that hunting so near the briar forest this day, they attracted attention of those who lived in the forbidden land. Stealthily, they were followed.

In about half an hour, they reached Zim's camp. The campfire stones were scattered about, but it looked otherwise the same. The sand floor was smooth and much dryer than the rest of the jungle, and Zim was only too happy to drop the peccary down.

"Guess I'll set up..."

He cast a suspicious glance to the side, wondering if he saw something. But there seemed to be nothing.

"Hmm."

Ixchel had followed Zim and at one of the puddles she cleaned off the blood as best she could. Later on, she figured on taking a trip to the one creak and going for a swim of sorts to fully clean off.

As they made it 'home,' she crouched down slightly and tilted her head to the side. Things were actually better here then it had been on the trek back here. A tingle started to move up her spine as her hair seemed to stand on end. She had a bad feeling of being watched, but she brushed it off remembering that there were creatures out there that were usually watching them all the time.

"I'm going to go to the creek to bathe before the pig is done."

Standing up, she moved toward Zim and kissed him softly before moving in the direction she remembered the creek to be.

"Alright, see you soon. I'll get this started meanwhile."

Rather impressed Ix not only remembered the way to the creek but took initiative to go there alone, pleased him. She was making strides today, certainly.

Sighing over his chore, he prepared his camp and fireplace as he began cleaning the peccary. He hoped he would get to eat a good amount of it this time.

Ixchel found her way to the creek with little effort, finding it hunter free this time. Even the bones of the last group seemed to be growing over with vegetation, likely to be forgotten before long.

Ixchel moved through the brush and smiled as they came to the creek. Looking about, she frowned at the memory of the events that had taken place there. Letting out a sigh, she moved down the enbankment and moved toward the deep pool.

Discarding her garments, she moved into the water till it was up to her neck and she relaxed letting the cool water soak into her skin. She rubbed the water into her skin to get the mud and grime off of her. Her body was relaxing as she let go.

Getting the peccary cleaned and put onto a spit, Zim felt a presence. Or two. And it wasn't Ixchel.

Half turning his head while he worked, he looked darkly over his shoulder into the gloom.

"Don't think I'm not aware you're here. But keep this in mind. You're in the jungle, not your briar patch. And here? Just a word, and I send this entire place down on you. You would do well to remember that, if you're looking to cause trouble."

"If you mess with her (Ixchel) or myself? I will not be kind. Now get out here!"

There was a hint of pixie-like tittering and then a dashing noise through the brush. While he was ready to make good on his threat, he hoped it wouldn't come to that. Those beings from the forbidden zone were dangerous. And he couldn't summon his own minions there either. Maybe they just wanted to spook him, he thought.

Ixchel just soaked and rested as she just soaked. Murring softly, she took a slow deep breath. Gigglign softly, she looked up as two dragonflies danced across the surface of the water seeming to play all around.

Turning quickly, she looked about nerviously as she felt something watching hr in a very unfriendly way. Taking a slow deep breath, she moved toward the sore and redresed keeping a close eye on the things around her. With this uneasy feeling, she desided it was a good idea to make it back toward Zim.

As Ixchel made her way back to Zim's camp, she would find herself meeting some others before the shaman.

About halfway back, several smallish figures appeared in front of her, one on the ground, and two hanging from opposing trees. They were unusual looking, to say the least. They stood about 3-4ft tall, and had rounded genderless bodies, colored black with wild bright colors splashed upon them. Each had wild poofy long hair, partially obscuring their creepy skin-over-a-skull faces. Their feet were webbed, while their hands bore only three large fingers. It was as though someone cross a pygmy with a jungle frog and maybe some insect. While the two in trees held nothing visible, the one blocking the way in front of her held a long reed-like stick.

"Nee hee hee!" they chuckled, gazing at her with blank eyes. Slowly they approached, trying to get too close for comfort.

"Kee hee hee!"

Ixchel stopped quickly and looked around at the three with a bit of surprise. Her breath caught in her throat, and she stood there caught off guard by the three. Ixchel had never seen such creatures in her life and she carefully looked the three over.

Two had no weapons visible but the one on the ground didn't exactly make her feel to secure. She had no weapons herself to defend herself. Something told her these guys weren't to keen on english and her instincts were telling her to run.

As they moved closer, she took a step back and quickly looked around at her options. Looking at clearing to the left, she looked back toward the others waiting for her opportunity.

Seeing she was looking to run rather than fight, the trio seemed emboldened. "Neet! Get her get her!" excitedly chittered the one on the ground. It backed up slightly and produced a handful of darts, inserting one into the top side of the reed. A blowgun!

Meanwhile, the other two decided to try to work together and tackle her down from the trees. Making a funny frog-like sound, they reared back and lunged towards her, aiming for the shoulders.

Ixchel took a deep breath and growled as the three charged her. Watching the one load a dart, she watched as the other two jumped down from the ground. With seconds to act, Ixchel jumped forward aiming to take down the guy with the gun.

Lunging forward, Ixchel hissed and soon the three would be facing a pissed off Naga. Growling, Ixchel extended her hands aiming to dig her nails into the blowgun holder and essentially rip him in half. From this fight, Ixchel wouldn't run, she was bound and determined to stand up for herself!

"Akky akky!" babbled one of the weird creatures, as it caught onto Ix as she became the naga. The other unfortunately bounced off her shoulder due to her transformation, and tumbled to the ground behind her.

"Wabba-wabba! Akky!" shouted the blowgun carrier. It had barely loaded it's dart when naga formed Ix was upon the creature. It's empty eyes went wide and panicked as she jammed her nails into the soft creature and began to rend it messily. It squealed, basically helpless as she eviscerated it.

The one riding her shoulders, however, put its webbed three fingered hands over her eyes, riding her like a bronco. "Nibi!" It was likely too late to save the other, but that hardly stopped it from trying.

The stumbled one, meanwhile, hopped up and grabbed the back of her tail, pulling on it. Neither of them were overly strong, but certainly as grabby as an insisent child would be.

"Roak!" cried the mauled one, dropping its blowgun as it was poisoned and torn apart. They really didn't expect her to be capable of this, that's for sure.

Ixchel lifted up a bit and turned a bit looking toward the one at her tail. Flicking it, she tried to throw it off toward the deeper part of the water in an attempt to get it off of her.

Looking toward the maimed one below her, she felt a tear slip down her cheek. No, she wouldn't let herself be the monster... Ixchel moved her hand and aimed to grab the one left gripping her shoulder. If she got it, she would aim to pull it off and set it down upon the ground before her.

"I'm sorry about your comrad...."

She motioned toward the creature on the ground below her.

"I wish no to harm either of you....leave me in peace and I shall do the same..."

With that said, she started to slither off in the direction of the clearing that she had found before. Little did she think that she had left the one next to the blowgun and her back toward him.

"Waagh!" squealed the tail grabber, flung off without too much effort. It only landed with a thump in the grass, however. The other one took a bit more effort, but was dislodged. It wasn't terribly powerful by itself.

They charged back, but paused when she stopped attacking and spoke to them. The one on the ground looked for all pretensive purposes, maimed or near dead. Mauled aside, it was poisoned by her and it didn't have any real ability to survive that. It made a croaking heavy breathing sound, just staring upwards, looking sick.

The other two gave up and left Ixchel be. It was pointless to fight her and the fact she spared them would have be a Pyrrhic victory. They watched her leave and they looked down to their ailing friend, long after they were out of sight.

Ixchel moved back to her human form and hugged herself tightly. Blood was still warm on her hands and left marks upon her arms where she grabbed herself. Before to long, she was back at camp looking well... horribly saddened by some means of events.

Ixchel moved and sat upon a stone off by a tree seeming lost, sad, and quiet.
