"What?!" Ame finished her swing belatedly and glanced at Freya as the vampiress bounced away (not as dramatically as the cat, but with frizz none the less). Her sword smacked the ground at the end of her swing, as she let it loose momentum, and stayed there as the smoke cleared. Ame was breathing heavily from her previous run.

The cat, now safe, did not at all see Santo's next attack coming. Santo probably didn't see it either. He slammed the trunk door down on the cat's tail. With a loud, echoing, sharp scream, the door bounced off once (unable to close fully due to tail) and Kitty let his tail join the rest of him quickly once that was done. As Santo closed the other doors to the truck, he could hear the cat's low growl and its echoing menace.

The good news of all this is that Ame noticed Santo molesting the cat. The bad news is that the sun was starting to set. The woman went from hyperventilating at Freya, to the cat, then at nothing at all. She stared, in actuality, at the sun as it dropped below the trees. Then she dropped her tachi and fell to her knees, clutching her stomach in pain out of nowhere.

Santo heared the scream of the cat as he slammed the door on its tail. He thought it was bounding inside trying to either find a place to hide or growling at him. The thief made his circle closing the doors to the truck until he reached the rear again which he again closed. He hadn't noticed it was slammed on the cat's tail.

He spun around to observe Ame and Freya's fight to see that they had stopped. Making his way over, Santo saw Ame collapsing on the ground clutching her stomach tightly. She even dropped her long sword which meant things were bad. Did Freya do something to her? Or was it something worse?

"What the hell is going on?" he said taking out his Kukri holding it with the blade turned the opposite direction while staring at the vampiress. Santo made a few steps toward Ame to try to observe what might be happening.

"I didn't do it!" Freya held up her hands as Santo approached. "See, no weapon. Not my fault - I have no idea what's going on."

She didn't have a weapon, either, which probably made it all the more likely that she had disabled Ame with the use of some dirty trick.

It was obviously not normal to see Ame acting this way. He didn't know what Freya had done to her, but he wasn't going over to fight her. Santo simply held a defensive stance keeping his blade close to his face while observing what Freya might do.

"What are you doing here?" he asked with a curious eye.

"Figured you might need some help," Freya shrugged, her hands still up in the air. "And from what I've seen so far, you've not been convincing me otherwise. Besides, large amounts of money, even if they're green and not gold, make my fingers itch, so let's chalk it up to 'better I'm stealing with you than stealing from you', shall we?"

The thief still held his stance while looking back and forth between the grunting fox and the vampiress. It was obvious what they were doing, and he needed to do something about the situation quickly. "I see," he said. "It is convenient that you chose to help us before you saw this bag of money."

He was right. She couldn't have known about any of this before the incident with that damn cat. "What is really going on here?" he thought. "And why is Ame on the ground?"

Freya didn't like to spoil Santo's illusions by saying that for starters she could smell the money inside his truck, and hear it as it drove along- an entirely different timbre from the rubber bands it was supposed to be carrying. Also the small factor that she'd been following them since about.. oh, the bank.

She lowered her hands slowly, putting them firmly on her hips.

"What can I say, I like the cut of your jib. You seem like an interesting pair, and she's getting more interesting by the second." Freya pointed a toe in Ame's direction. "She do this a lot?"

((OOC - Haven't heard "cut of your jib" in years))

"Heh...No...this is the first time," Santo said not wanting to reveil too much, just yet. He really didn't trust her if she did, in fact, did something to Ame. The thief didn't have much of a choice but to do something about Ame and her condition. He also had to do something about that damn cat.

"Well, regardless, we have to get out of here. You know a way to get rid of that damn cat?" he asked putting his Kukri back in its holster while bending down to attempt to pick up the fidgetting Ame.

((BOOC - Ame needs to post soon...running out of options))

Mission successful

360 points!

Health Restored

Okay, Ame is back in the game.

While Santo and Freya held their nice conversation, even going so far as to suggest that they check out the truck, Ame is wrything on the ground in agony. All that after attacking Freya to save Santo from a vicious felinious tabbious. Gee, thanks.

After her initial seizures and note-worthy agony, something started to happen. It was kinda hard to see, what with the sun setting completely now and all, but in the reflective sheen of sweat that covered her, fur started to sprout. Her body, arched over, started to contort, rip, and fix itself in certain un-human directions. Her face, under the two long bangs in the front, started to protrude out slowly at first, then much more lengthily. At first the change was slow, pulsating with her faster heartbeat. But then all at once her robes tore, her body was covered in brown and black fur (probably seen better by Freya because of her lineage and all), her bones stuck out abnormally - especially around the face, limbs, back, and the new tail she spontaneously grew - and she was now no longer human.

A puddle of sweat gracing the pavement under her padded toes, the monster that was once Ame first let out a whimper, then got up. Oh sure, you thought Ame was intimidating and spontaneous before. Now she's well above Santo's size and a large, muscled stack of teeth and claws. Notable in her array of new weaponry were her thumb claws, which dripped an interesting fluid that sizzled when it hit the ground.

Her ears, now dish-like and upright on her head, flicked towards her two new travelling.. um.. accompanyments. She first looked confused, then bared her long, sharp, new muzzle full of teeth.

Must've been an outright surprise for Santo, being right there next to her and all.

((I'll decline to say that you spelled spatula wrong haha...no matter))

It was definitely getting darker now. Santo bent down to observe what was going on with Ame. It has been a minute since he looked at her, for he hadn't diverted his eyes from Freya. He felt fur which was a new and odd feeling from the woman. After a closer look, he noticed the changes and lunged back not knowing what was going on. This was something he only dreamt of before.

Ame was a werewolf. The transformation didn't take long, and she stood up well above Santo baring teeth and claws which seemed to drip an acidic substance. Santo was on the ground back crabbing before taking his out his Kukri again just in case. He never met a werewolf before, so he didn't know what they really did. Were they vicious?

"What the hell?"

(('Cut of your jib' is the world's best judgement of character and you know it.))

"Well there's something you don't see every day. She appears to be some sort of were-beastie," Freya remarked mildly. "Why didn't you tell me this instead of standing around looking like you weren't sure what to do with that big knife of yours?"

She flicked her hair out of her face nonchalantly.

"And with regards to that question of yours about the cat, I think she'll do to see it off."

Freya remained remarkably calm in the face of OMG doomy terror, but then, since the sun had gone down she was feeling better and cockier than ever. She cracked her knuckles.

(Fixed the spelling of spatula.)

(Random note for the not-too-distant future: Only Ame's thumb claws drip. The rest of her claws are normal. What falls from Ame's mouth doesn't turn to fried egg on the pavement, either.)

And with that AmeWolf looks confused again when Santo pulled out his knife. Her ears pulled back and she gave a hurt expression, but it was hard to tell if that was hurt or simply angry, what with the beared teeth and large nasty disposition. In truth, the were-woman was confused the second she sprouted fur and turned the other cheek on humanity. Confusion rode her all the way up til now. She stooped and gave a low, audible whimper again.

And then Freya remarked on something. Amewolf turned towards her all of a sudden, possibly spooked. The fur on her back stood and her ears pressed further back against her wolven skull. Unlike as a human, who could tell who Freya was by visual cues and the sound of her voice, Ame's first instincts were towards what Freya smelled like. Rust, a dust like one would encounter in a vacant house, she absolutely reeked of leather mixed with the tang of metal. She didn't smell of human, but not like other animals as well. Like blood, but not like blood.

Next was sound, which Freya provided with her comment about the cat. Ame didn't understand a thing that the vampiress was saying, but hte sound of her voice pinged in Ame's memory. Something about htat voice really pissed her off.

And it was then, after a stalemate between Ame, Santo, and Freya, that Amethyst the werewolf suddenly and out of nowhere clicked off and lunged at Freya (Yet again!) with intent to lope up to her on all fours and attack rather forcefully. If it wasn't at all a surprise, Ame was much MUCH faster as a werewolf running quadrupedal than as a human bipedal.

The truck remains untouched, the door still down, the cat still inside, and Santo has plenty of time to figure out something.

Santo really didn't know what to expect from the changed Amethyst. Finally getting his tunnel vision recovered, the thief gets back onto his feet fearing the worse could happen. Suddenly, the beast tramples after Freya who seems unfazed of the sudden attack. Feeling he's in a slight different league or at least for the moment, Santo would make his way back to the truck to solve his pest problem. Ame will just have to wait for the moment.

The truck doors were still closed keeping the now quiet feline inside. It was quite possible to get out of town now with both of them occupied with each other. Santo didn't see the white fuzzball in the front seat, so he opened up the door to try to get the truck started again.

Freya, faced with the attack, considered her options for a microsecond, then dropped into a ball, making herself as small as she possibly could and pulling her arms up to shield her head. If the wolf was going at the speed she expected, she would simply pass right over the vampiress, possibly tripping or entangling her legs somehow, but Freya wasn't optimistic for that. At least having the wolf run past her would give her time to think of something better.

Santo gets into the truck successfully. Behind him is a horizontal slit (between the passenger and driver seat headrests) that, when opened, would lead to a seeing eye view of the truck's packages. Beyond that the cat started yeowling like a warrior the second Santo jumped the truck again. If Santo were to open the slit, all he'd see is the side of a massive cardboard box.

Freya ducked down and, um, played armadillo. Instead of rushing headlong over the woman, Amewolf shot to the side at the last moment. She skidded on the pavement for a very short while (Following the rules of Weight + size and gravitational pull, Ame would have probably continued going with her relative mass low to the ground, however being that she's larger with her mass not equally distributed and more shifted towards her front half, the wind resistance against her greater height and mass played a factor in her slowing down much sooner when the skid started. There's also the sharpness of her claws and the fact that she's a creature with long limbs to consider, but let's not get technical here). And she turned her massive head back towards the victim, grabbing anything she could of Freya with her teeth - which was her bundled hair (sorry) - and shook.

Provided Santo started pulling away, the Japanese werewolf would immediately drop Freya and head in that direction. (And this is following the rules of Canine + Car... Um, let's not get into those details). Her distraction gives Freya loads of time to either recover or do something.

((Ha, figures))

As the truck came alive, Santo had a suspicion which crept up from his foot to his brain and back down to his foot. He didn't want to see Freya get torn to shreds, so he did the next best thing. The thief popped the truck in reverse as he floored the accelerator spinning its tires, if they did haha. Santo was good behind the wheel being a transporter from time to time and was used to this style of driving. He would merely try to knock the werewolf unconscious hoping to get to back to her original form.

"Ah, sentient were-beastie," Freya grinned through a mouthful of dust. She didn't seem phased, as such, by the fact that her hair had just been savaged, but there was a bloodthirsty gleam in her eyes as she rose from the ground.

Covered in dust, with her hair hanging loosely down her back, Freya looked beaten already. She swayed slightly where she stood, but as she shook her head, the dizziness passed, and she zoned in on the werewolf.

"Well then, sentient were-beastie or no, you ain't getting away with that," she growled between her teeth, and charged after Amethyst, taking a flying leap into the air and aiming to land on the broad back of the beast.

Taking off after the truck, there wasn't much else on Ame's mind. Large thing moves, must catch large thing! In the drivers side mirrors, Santo could see the monstrous shape as it got bigger and bigger and, oh right. Objects in mirror are bigger than they appear to be. Though damned be it all the glowing green eyes and sharp-looking teeth in that mirror were unsettling.

Once again the werewolf was romping on all fours, which seemed fitting for how her new anatomy was constructed with the long legs, large paws, and arched back. As she got closer to the truck, Freya came out of absolutely nowhere and attached to her back. "BWar!?" Amethyst started, right up until Santo suddenly decided to back the truck into her.

Thunk!

It was like hitting an elephant, or in Freya's case hitting something on a bucking bull. The cat in the truck scream/yeowled.

What was left in this scene was Santo in the truck, Freya either still on Ame, on the truck, or off on the road somewhere, and Ame slumped onto the pavement, her leg and tail under the truck's back right tire. The werewolf twitched. There was a massive impression to the back of the truck's door in the shape of an inverted pear... A Large Inverted pear. The back door was ajar, and a cat paw was trying desperately to reach through the lower corner of it.

"Let me out of here! I'm done! I surrender!" The cat said while trying to get free.

He braced for impact as the back of the truck collided into the beast leaving the inverted pear shape in its body. Santo grabbed the steering wheel trying to keep the force on his body to a minimum. Unfortunately, the impact was much greater due to the velocity and inertia of hitting a solid object regardless if it gave way or not.

The thief was still thrown back into the seat and ricocheted out the windshield which was only cheaply fixed by the repair man. He tumbled over and over on the ground until he was laying flat on his stomach aching all over. It took him a second to realize what happened until he tried to get up.

Santo got to at least one knee when he noticed the glass sticking out of his clothes and skin. Blood came with the cuts as he pulled some of them off. The launch did more damage than necessary but no bones were broken. The cuts and some pulled muscles weren't enough to immobilize the thief, but the going was slow at first. Santo then moved slowly toward the truck to see what the damage was.

Freya had hit the truck and ricocheted off it, landing with a crunch on the dusty road, sending up a small cloud to mark where she lay.

She sat up, unsteadily but confident in her lack of lasting injury. Focusing on the scrabbling cat paw, she frowned. Talking cat? Maybe she'd hit her head harder than she'd originally thought.

Dragging herself laboriously to her feet, wary of any dizziness that would cause her to flop back down again, she inched towards the truck and Ame.

"Did you just... say something, kitty?" she asked, forcing the words past lips that felt like shredded rubber. Santo would likely think she had concussion or something, but what the hell.

(In an convo I had with Freya, we discussed the cat and how it could talk. Towards the end of it, this line was written, "Just cause he can talk doesn't mean he isn't a cat." Which rules so much that it has to be added to the post for the point of it.)

Everyone seems to have felt that impact. Santo came around and checked the damage to the truck. Since no one else is on this particular road at the moment and therefore there are no other car casualties, the truck's damage consists of the broken windshield (if you people reading this thread outside of the active rpers haven't gotten the drift yet, buckle your seat belt) and the damaged back door. The vehicle is lopsided, but that's because the backwheel is still over Ame. Ame isn't moving. She's breathing, though. Now that it's dark, the green ink in her fur is now glowing (same with where-ever Santo may have green ink. While the ink can be visibly washed off, the residue is incredibly hard to get rid of.) All the way around the car Freya is talking to the back door which, upon further inspection, has a cat paw clawing fully out of the lower corner of it.

Yes, Santo, Freya has gone batty.

Freya survived the head-on collision with the once Ex-fed truck, though her mode of furry travel needs repair. She found the cat calling for help and decided to assist.

The cat continued, not yet noticing Santo's presence out there. It continued reaching out and talking to the disembodied voice beyond. "Good, you aren't one of those criminals. I'm being held captive. I tried to claw my way through a huge box in here, but I can't fit inside it. And the bags are glowing, so I can't hide in them." He stopped reaching out and instead pawed at the door and yeowled again. "Let me out! Please let me out!"

Ame was not moving. He hoped nothing else happened to her except for a bit of pain on her body. He couldn't imagine what it would feel like being hit by a truck. Upon further inspection, Freya was talking to the now talking cat in the back. This was quite odd to hear seeing that the cat never talked to him or Ame before this moment.

He look over after Ame to see if anything was broken. She still looked menacing, but when she was still, she looked like a big, cute fluffy animal. Santo was an animal lover and usually didn't startle easily, yet something about seeing Ame change was different. The green dye was glowing on her and himself which was common. He had had this on him before, and it would take a while to get off.

Now that he saw the cat's paw sticking out, he wanted to grab it and snap it in half, but he regained his conscious back and wanted to help the little fellow. "Why didn't you say so, you crazy cat? Who said we were keeping you captive? All you had to say was 'get me out of here'," he said thinking he should get the truck off of Ame since it did its job. Santo made his way back in the front seat to see if he could get the truck rolled off the were-girl.

After Santo went around to the front, Freya continued to regard the cat paw suspiciously, then whispered to it.

"Ignore him. I'm going to let you out, as long as you don't hurt me. I haven't stolen anything."

Yet, she thought, but wrenched the door open anyway. With her superhuman strength, it should come open easily. She'll back away slightly once it's open, just in case the cat should be lying.

(Santo's an animal lover? He's responsible for Olde Yipper! Shame, shame on you.)

Determining that Ame was alive, noting the greeniness of stuff, and directly and indirectly threatening the cat, Santo went back around to start the truck back up again. While he did so, Freya was planning a Coup d'état with the cat.

It took probably two tries for Freya to get the door up, which had loads to do with the imprint Ame made not letting the door fold properly at the 90 degree angle of the rail (the door slides upwards). It stopped around the part where Ame's shoulders would have imprinted and refused to move. With the second try, the entire thing lurched and squealed - still miraculously on the track - and the door was 80% opened.

Out sprang the cat, who promptly began running off to greater pastures.

Santo chose then to jerk the car a little bit forward and have it roll off the crippled body of the werewolf. The resulting wheel-to-ground thud made the ink dust on the remaining money backs in the trunk fluff up in a small cloud. It was clear that the bags of loot were destroyed (from the ink bombs going off) by either the impact of Ame, the cat scratching the crap out of them, or Santo's back tire rolling off Ame just now.

And then a large folded sheet of manual paper landed over the bags from further back in the truck. On it in large letters was:

D.E.A.D. MANUAL

When Freya eventually took in where the paper came from, she'd notice that a large box took up half the Ex-fed (Simon Rubberband) Truck's interior. The cat had done good work clawing the one side of the box open in frills and chunks of cardboard. Inside the box, beyond the confetti box hide, was what appeared to be a large, very mean-looking lasergun/cannon of some variety. The main body was the cannon with the head of it going off into a jagged point. On all sides of it were smaller guns and mechanical contraptions - anything from actual smaller guns fused on the main cannon to transponders to batteries to ignition sources to wires to tubes to ugly-looking things that noone in the remote vicinity would contemplate the uses for. The DEAD sat on eight robotic, almost insectile legs - like a spider.

And here was a large manual between it and her describing how it's a Dimensional Eradication and Annihilation Device in large print with pretty pictures. It was listed to a Mr. Raze Kittora Demonclaw, the receipt went for a few trillion MZDM chips, and had a sign-at-door confirmation order slapped on it. What was going to be immediately clear was that this was a geniune expensive thing that could quite possibly eradicate and annihilate things. Big things. Dimensions and stuff, I'm telling you!

The cat came trotting back and out of nowhere rubbed against Freya's leg. "I decided that you will be my companion." He looked at her with large kitty eyes.

Another thing to note is that the cat's fur was untouched by the dye, so he isn't a glowing tabby.

Ame still didn't move. She was still out cold, and wasn't going back to a human any time soon. Her leg was obviously broken and it could be possible that she broke ribs or a collarbone or something as well under the torn green robes and glowing green face. Leaving here here in the middle of the road not too far down from a half-active farm-community gas station probably wont be good in the long run.

((I see you have never read his profile. He owns a ferret and understands about life))

The thief skipped the truck off the weregirl while making the truck bounce slightly. He made his way again to the back seeing the cat gone to 'greater pastures'. Freya must have finally opened the door which was a little impressive. She must be more than normal which wasn't surprising. Santo made a quick search of the remaining bags of money. ((Priorities)) There were none which made the thief hit the inside of the truck.

He then noticed the D.E.A.D. machine manual and the object in the back, and his blood drained down his face. "This is bad and good for my pocket," he thought as he turned toward the vampiress. He then checked Ame's wounds which were exactly what he thought would happen. Broken bones on her leg and possibly her ribs. Since they were in the midst of a populated area, it would be wise to evacuate the area immediately. Santo was cold-hearted, but he couldn't leave an unconscious animal (yes, animal lover) in the midst of the farmers. They wouldn't understand and fear her.

"There isn't any money that was saved. You should leave," he said picking up the manual and pushing the machine a little further up to the front. He then attempted to lift the large beast into the truck on his own. Santo hadn't expected Freya to help since there wasn't anything left to salvage. If she helped to get away, all the better. If and when Ame was back in the truck, the thief would try to close the back door and drive off to see who would be the biggest bidder for the D.E.A.D. machine.
