When fully manifesting The Dancing Yin, her powers are essentially infinite, though she is still limited by her mortal mind's ability to process those powers. The powers usually take the form of energy blasts, energy shields, telekinesis, accelerated healing and manipulations of her immediate surroundings. Powers are usually visualized as a white light energy beam emanating from the center of her chest. | | Weaknesses | | Val can sometimes get lost in her own deceptions and role-playing. Her temper and stubborness may alienate potential allies and her over-confidence often leads to her undoing. When not engaged in dancing, spell-casting or in the midst of a combat situation, her physical defences are merely those of a mortal (though an exceptionally strong and dexterious one). But in life-threatening situations, her powers can often "kick in" due to her fine-tuned intuition. | | Special Effects (if any) | | When shined upon others, The Dancing Yin's beam is also capable of causing the instant flowering of latent gifts--such as artistic, spiritual, athletic and/or supernatural powers. | | Description of Personality | Vain, selfish, manipulative, moody and hot-tempered, Val enjoys being the center of attention and does not like to be challenged or perceived as being anything less than "number one." She is obsessively committed to her arts of dancing, incantations and "performances" (be they as actress or spy). Within these artistic realms she is capable of creating works of great beauty.
When in the proper mood, Val is also capable of great tenderness and has been known to speak quite eloquently on the spiritual nature of The Dancing Yin. But she has little tolerance for other philosophical or religious view points. | | Brief History | Val has lived many lives, playing many roles. She has been at the bottom rung of the social strata, having to viciously claw her way to the top. She has been a Queen, ruling her kingdom with unwavering devotion to those who are loyal and exacting fierce retribution against those who would oppose her or threaten the safety of her land. Most often her lives have been somewhere in-between, but all have the common thread of her destiny to serve as the manifestation of the goddess entity known as The Dancing Yin. Depending on her past life situation, she has used her gift of the goddess for "good" (to benefit others) or for "evil" (to advance her selfish agendas).
