Honey Elise Lieber - Everybody needs some bunny sometime | - properly - Mistress Honige Elise Lieber, daughter of Baron Johann Marks Lieber von Heitervald However, she gave up her courtesy title long ago. |
Age: 17 Gender: Female Species: Lapine - specifically an anthro snowshoe rabbit (aka. Bhuuuunny ) Height: 4'3" Weight: 89 lbs.
Build: Though her body has been toughened by battle, and it bears the marks of her trade, she is still rather pretty as white rabbits go. She stands lithely on digitigrade footpaws and the nails of both her paws and feet are neatly trimmed. Marring her left thigh is a scar that stretches nearly from hip to knee. A smaller but slightly broader and more ragged scar is high on her right shoulder. Her left ear is missing an inch from its tip.
Fur Color: Plain white in winter, and mostly brown during the summer. Strangely enough, she only shows the black ear tips of her race after prolonged subzero temperatures, and while here in The Dream, she seems to be locked in her winter fur color. Eye Color: Blue-grey
Armor: Steel is the metal of choice in her battle garb. Her digitigrade footpaws are shod in sturdy steel boots, and steel greaves protect her shins while chain mail gauntlets cover her paws and lower arms. A custom made, form fitting, articulated cuirass helps ensure that Honey will stay breathing longer in battle, and the chain mail skirt attached to it offers some protection for her fleshy thighs and rump. Her legs are further hidden by a pair of baggy blue trousers tucked into her boots. Completing the look is an open faced helm which flares out at the bottom, and her long lapine ears stick out small holes cut in the top. Beneath the protection of the helm, instead of the typical gorget, the bunny wears an unusual choice of thick black leather collar studded with two inch long spikes.
Clothing: When not anticipating combat, Honey wears fairly simple clothing. One favorite outfit is a lovely pink flaxen blouse with long puffy sleeves and a column of dark wooden buttons down the front. Baggy blue trousers extend a short ways down to the top of her long lapine feet. As one might expect, a hole cut in the back lets her little bunny tail poke through, and a dark blue belt with a brass buckle cinches the whole thing tight at her waist. Sitting jauntily atop her head and between her long ears is a dark red felt cap.
Occupation / Class: Priestess of Gantsvesen and Warrior
Affiliations: The Lady Marianne of her own world was once her only strong bond. Shortly after arriving here, she aquainted herself with the Dream's Marianne and Rhiann, the Tatera family, and others. Those people assisted her in finding the Welcome Center which she has made her new home, and in exchange, she has offered her services in support of Karol Luis' grand vision. The Admins, staff, and volunteers have all been wonderful and she counts them all at least friendly aquaintences if not more. More is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the head of Welcome Center maintenance, Sharo Lyntami. The bunny and the beautiful blue bat have grown quite close now, and their relationship - with a few small bumps - is developing nicely.
Various other friends/friendly aquaintences of note:
Almerane Rei
Cherry
Porter / Starchaser
Scoperitor
Shinopiraph
Tawnyblaze - Holy fruitcake!
-probably others, but the PG has poor memory-
Accessories: Rapier: The craftsmanship that went into this finely wrought, basket hilt rapier is obvious. Its blade is a two and a half foot long flamberge or flame blade, named for the fact that the blade is wavy rather than straight edged. The waviness of the blade aids in parrying while not hindering one's own attack. Further setting it apart from more common flamberge rapiers, this weapon bears an etching of a dragon rampant near the base of the blade, and just beneath the guard where the basket joins the hilt, a sizable chunk of 'water sapphire' (aka. iolite) transfixes the hilt. She wields this attractive and dangerous sword proudly.
Knife: This is a rather large knife clearly meant for parrying as it has a one foot long, sturdy, double edged blade with a reverse saw tooth notching starting about five inches from the tip and continuing all the way to the six inch wide forked guard. Of course, this knife is also kept sharp enough to cut and stab with.
Necklace: A close look at this necklace reveals it to be a green vine with small but sturdy leaves, and apparently it has been looped around to suspend a small clay bulb carved with runes. Anyone who could actually hold it and inspect it closer would realize that the vine was still alive and that there is actually moist dirt within the bulb.
Bracelet: A greatly appreciated Christmas gift from Ceera, this thin bracelet made of silver strands braided in a lovely pattern shines softly with magic to those whose eyes can see it. The simple charm on it extends the protection of any full suit of armor (and only a full suit) to cover those parts of her anatomy which can not easily be armored any other way.
Pets: Oh yes, that's fun on both the giving and receiving end...oh, you mean non-sentients! No, none of those.
Abilities/Skills & Power Level: Unarmed combat: With only limited training in bare handed combat, a small, light weight body, and only modest strength as warriors go, she is ill-suited to grappling and will try to either flee or find an improvised weapon.
Ranged combat: She has had a limited amount of training in crossbows and black powder weapons, but nothing remarkable.
Swordsmanship: She is an expert swordswoman, well capable of handling cannon fodder in twos and threes, but she is still far from legendary status. A noticeably older warrior would likely outshine her simply from experience, and even trash troops attacking en masse would likely overwhelm her. She prefers to fence with rapier and main gauche, but she is also trained in broadswords and shields.
Magic: Likewise, she is far from being a high priestess...even though in a way that is her status since she follows a nearly dead religion. Gantsvesen is the embodiment of all that lives from the largest whale down to the tiniest microbes (which are only known of thanks to similar magic). Most of what prayers she knows are currently limited to healing, protection, stealth, and minor body augmentation eg. change fur/eye color, shrink / grow claws, limited increase / reduction to speed, strength, toughness, agility, etc. of herself or those around her. Recently, she has shown some improvement in the strength and duration of her abilities, but she is still very much in the learning stage.
Other skills: She is trained in horseback riding but most of what she's learned about mounted combat was learned in the school of hard knocks and sharp, pointy objects. Due to her role as a priestess of Gantsvesen, she is a moderately skilled naturalist and herbalist. That she is well versed in the heraldry and history of her people is likely of no import, but it seemed important to her at the time. If any should doubt, she is also quite literate and (somewhat reluctantly) accomplished at math.
Weaknesses: Unless her limited magic and skills offer a counter, she's vulnerable to the same things as any other anthro rabbit. Additionally, she tends to be a fairly trusting individual - not ridiculously so, but she hasn't faced any real betrayal to make her wary of such things. For further insights, see personality.
Special Effects (if any): None yet.
Description of Personality: She's still young, and in spite of everything that's happened, she remains fairly adventurous and optomistic. She tends to be cheerful and can be quite playful, but she is capable of seriousness and discipline when there is need. Though raised to be cultured and capable of carrying on an intelligent conversation, she has little patience with living life as a proper female noble. On matters important to her, she tends to be very stubborn and may become aggressive if pushed too far. She knows she's not hideous, but she doesn't think she's anything special either. When she thinks about it, she feels that her scars probably ruined what beauty she had, but that doesn't bother her terribly much. Put simply, she is a tom boy that has no interest in growing up no matter what anyone else thinks.
Brief History: She was born the daughter of a baron but she rejected that life and chose instead to seek fame and fortune elsewhere. After a couple less than perfect encounters with real war, she was taken in and trained by a mercenary company. She traveled and fought with them for a little over a year before parting ways and once more traveling alone. Eventually she was captured by soldiers of the duke who's lands she was passing through, and after a heated exchange with the duke, he began to rape her. She managed to find a stone chip and jab it in his eye then bluffed her way to freedom, but he put a price on her head. Eventually she was able to flee the country and traveled to a nearby island where she found work as a personal guard of the local duchess. The last she can recall, there were orcs massing outside the city, there was a fierce battle, and an orc mage hurled a darkly glowing sphere towards her and the defenders with her...then a moment of darkness before she found herself here.
A brief and character revealing answer to the question, "What is your ambition?": Concerned with the way she came to the Dream, she now seeks answers about what happened to her, what has happened to her world in her absence, and how she might return to her world if it is even possible to do so. Furthermore, she seeks knowledge about nature deities and what empowers her prayers to Gantsvesen since the Dream does not seem to possess any nature deities.
