Name: Aleister Kelley Age: 24 Gender: male, but can put on an illusion of crossgendering. Species: Tanuki (masquerading as human) Height: 5'4" (human) 2' (tanuki) Weight: 130 lbs (human) 40 lbs (tanuki) Build: light (human) round (tanuki) Hair: Roan red hair, brown and chestnut brown fur Eye Colour: Red Clothing: Wears a wide-brimmed hat, brown overcoat, grey-blue button-down shirt and dark slacks. Accessories: Tin Teakettle on a cord, hat and overcoat. He keeps dry gum leaves in his pockets as an aid in transformation magic Abilities: Tanuki are known in folklore for their shapeshifting abilities, and Aleister is no exception. He can assume any shape for a limited period, though because of his lack of brains he doesn't tend to exploit this ability to its greatest potential. Through experience, he's learned to hold one or two shapes almost indefinitely- most significantly, that of a human man. Additionally, he cannot emulate the resistant qualities of surfaces like armour or rubber, though the 'clothing' he wears as a human can appear to get dirty or be torn. Because he has never recieved any training and has little knowlege of his tanuki heratige, he is not as skilled as he could possibly be. His only magical ability outside of shapeshifting illusions is the power to absorb and refocus the chi of fire, but only in limited quantities. Special Effects: Aleister always appears as either a tanuki or a man. His accessories cannot be absorbed into his body when he changes shape. He has average 'human' eyesight, but his senses of hearing and smell are enhanced, and he has no qualms about living like an animal. His eccentric behaviour is a result of the fact that regardless of his shape, he is a tanuki. History: (c. 1850) Having accidentaly stowed-away on a Japanese merchant vessel as a pup, Aleister hails from Australia, where he grew up in the guise of a human child. A ne'erdowell drifter with no obvious motivation, his essentially good personality is often overshadowed by his greed or sense of mischief.
"What is your ambition?": To invest his life's savings in wine, women, and tempura-friend rodents.
