Clothing: Casual. Most of the times she wears jeans, shorts if the weather allows it, and a shirt, again a short one when the weather is nice. She likes to dress as lightly as possible. Alex wearing a skirt or a dress is a very rare sight, she prefers wearing jeans of any kind. When it gets really cold in the winter, she might wear a sweater, but she doesn't really like those.
Appearance: Alex is a fine looking girl. Even though her sizes are kind of moderate (she isn't really well endowed or anything), she has a certain kind of attractiveness to her. She takes good care of herself, which shows in the fact that she always looks healthy and clean. This all doesn't take away the fact though, that Alex has a bit of a tomboy appearance. She is a really easy-going girl, and that shows in her appearance.
Personality: Alex is very affectionate, she likes being around and amongst people. At times, her cat instincts tend to take over a bit, but Alex really tries her best to prevent this from happening. Sometimes, people are not helping though, and throwing away a ball of yarn almost always results in Alex sprinting after it.
Despite her feminine (yet tomboyish) looks, Alex is a rather wild cat. She likes to listen to wild music, and turns it on quite loud when she is alone. In a crowd, she is usually quite energetic and active. For some reason, Alex rather hangs out with guys instead of with girls.
Accessories: For starters, Alex wears a watch that is really special for her. It is the control unit of all the mechas around her, and is in fact a micro computer. The watch has quite a decent range, but if her mechas wander off too far, they will get out of range and are deactivated.
Alex also usually carries around a laptop, she uses this to program her mechas, and other things at times. The mechanic creatures can all be easily connected to the laptop so new data can be uploaded to them. At times, Alex also needs to do some more programming for her watch, especially when she makes a new mecha.
Last, Alex has a device that can be put around her neck like a choker, and it will then change her voice from a normal female voice into another voice. The default setting of the voice changer is a young male voice.
Pets: Although they might be considered accessories, for Alex her mechas are more like pets. She has quite a few of them really, and usually not even all of them are active. Her pets range from diminutive creatures like bees, to small creatures, like honeybirds and squirrels. One of Alex' most impressive mechas is a cat, which is in fact the second largest mecha in her collection. The cat has the project name Mela. There is one mecha which is still bigger then the cat though, and that is her wolf mecha, Nova.
Abilities/Skills & Power Level: Alex is a native from Mechanus, a plane with highly advanced mechanics. On Mechanus, she followed a mechanics course, with her major being fine mechanics. She never really managed to finish the course though, due to her disappearance to the dream, but her skills haven't stopped growing.
Alex can work with nearly any sort of mechanics that is not alien or anything. Even mechanics that are unusual to her, she can usually find her way around in. Not only can she work on the mechanics themselves, if a device is mechanic in nature, Alex can usually figure out how to operate it. For example, she can control nearly any vehicle given a bit of time to study it (yet, this doesn't say anything about her actual driving skills with the thing *grins*)
Her fine mechanics are really impressive, Alex can work on a scale that is even finer then watches go. In fact, many of her mechas are finetuned with mechanics so small that they are nearly indetectable to the naked eye.
Last, Alex knows a fine deal about programming, and especially Artificial Intelligence. It is what she uses to control her mechas, and her programs can get pretty smart if she wants them to.
Besides her mechanic skills, Alex has one other major advantage. She is small, slender, athletic and stealthy. Alex can move through and into many places others cannot get to that easily because of her feline build. Her feline instincts make her naturally stealthy, although her skills on this area are limited to natural stealth, she does not posess any kind of superior or supernatural stealth (or athletics).
Weaknesses: Alex cannot handle combat at all. All she has are her claws, and she can make a nasty scratch with them... but truthfully, the moment the opponent starts defending himself against that, she will be mostly unable to do that also.
Although Alex is quite dexterous, she is weak, she lacks in physical strength. She isn't any stronger then the average 19-year old female human, maybe even somewhat below average. This doesn't often pose a real problem though. Her build has another disadvantage sometimes, which is a low tolerance to alcohol and other similar toxins.
One of Alex' biggest weaknesses is her attention span. Alex is easily distracted by anything that moves or looks interesting. She is at times a slave to her instincts and has to work reasonably hard to keep those instincts under control.
History: Alex grew up on Mechanus, a world that is, in fact, a big clockwork. On the different gears, parts of the world are built, with gravity at all times pulling you towards the gear you are standing on.
Besides this odd feature, Mechanus is also a world that is technologically extremely advanced. Nearly any technology found on any other, commonly accessible, world can be found on Mechanus also.
As a result, almost everybody on mechanus knows something about mechanics, but Alex' history is even a more specialized one. On mechanus, Alex attended a very technological school. She learned to work all kinds of mechanics, and eventually, on university, started to specialize in fine mechanics.
Now, even on mechanus, there is still a bias towards females and technology, and Alex quickly became a victim to it. As she advanced in school, more and more girls dropped out of school and went to different schools because they start losing interest in mechanics. However, Alex never lost interest, and stayed in school for a long time. Slowly she learned though, that many of the boys did not really accept her. She could hardly get into any clubs having to do with mechanics, and usually had to work on her own.
That is when Alex decided to disappear. It was as if she had dropped out of school also, but a few days later a boy came to the school. Alex had started crossdressing, and to be quite honest, she was rather good at it. She changed her appearance enough not to be suspicious. She was accepted in clubs now, and usually had people to work with.
Alex entered a club for fine mechanics and programming also, where she perfected her skills even more. She was one of the best of the class... until that dreaded night.
It was after a club meeting, that she was going to hang out with the guys. She liked that really, but Alex really isn't that tolerant to alcohol. At the end of the night she was wasted, and on her way home somewhere, she lost consciousness... and woke up in the place called the Napping Cat's Dream.
A brief and character revealing answer to the question, "What is your ambition?": Dunno really... I just go with the flow, do what I always do...
