NOTE: UPDATED AS OF 08 SEPTEMBER 2004.
Age:
20. (In apearance.) 1 in actuality.
Gender:
Male.
Species/Race:
Dryad. They look almost human, yet are essentialy anthro-trees.(Ents, copyrighted thanks to LotR.)
Height:
1.95m.
Build:
Fairly lanky.
Other things to note:
Bark, moss and leaves:
Bark - Mottled grey,
Leaves - Green,
Moss - Light brown with a hint of red.
Eye Color:
Deep green and mildly luminious. (When thinking.) No whites.
Distinguishing characteristics:
() Jaw lining beard, and,
() Fairly solid head of moss.
Clothing / Armor:
Leaf-weave clothing that grows from his torso. (Poncho in default form.)
Leaves can expand to look like typical gum tree foliage of a shell of clumps of leaves. Also, he has been known to spring out in yellow blossoms when it's summer and he's had plenty of water.
Occupation / Class:
() Gardener,
() Emisary, and,
() Amature healer.
Affiliations:
Pro-
The Forces of Nature. (If good and evil play chess, then The Forces of nature are the board and the peices they need.)
Anti-
Chaos. (That which erodes all order and corrupts life.)
Abilities/Skills & Power Level:
No Guts - Forrest has no internal organs.
Earthing - Like most plants that keep their roots in the ground, Forrest can earth an electric current, though it doesn't stop him from smouldering and eventualy burning.
Guided Action - Can act with surity in even the most chaotic of situations.
Manipulation of Nature - Can manipulate plants in approxamatly a seven meter radius around himself. (Further if he focuses.)
Touch telepathy - This allows him to skim surface thoughts that are on the verge of being spoken with an extended handshake. He'd have to ask about anything deeper as you'd definitlty feel somthing
Roots - Forrest's toes are actualy platted, prehensile roots that can exert steel-bending pressure, and extend to just over a meter.
Intrinsic Navigation - Can find South and water by instinct.
Pool of Knowledge - He can sense the right anwser to a question as he knows the nature behind all the elements in it's make up.
Sap - Not a miricle cure, however it possesses some significant anathestic and pro-bacterial qualitys.
Underground Transport - The Forces of Nature's way of transporting their emisary across great distances in a short amount of time. Once on open ground Forrest dehydrates and is then sucked into a series of subteranian tunnels and is shot through them by heated air. (A la air rifle.) Severe side effects apply. (See Weaknesses.)
Disarmament - Can safly remove one or both arms, and if need be his roots. (Can give a whole new meaning to "unarmed combat".)
Weaknesses:
() Connection: Requires regular exposure to vegetation, otherwise his mind will begin to fade till he's simply a drone.
() Plant Empathy: Can feel the pain of the plants around him.
() Underground transport: This requires dehydration, so he's almost useless till he draws enough water to restore his constitution.
() Nutrition. If he can't put his roots down every once-in-a-while, he's going to wither and die.
Special Effects:
() His irisis' rotate when he's lost in deep contemplation.
() All abilitys are able to be either enhanced or depleated depending on how well in tune he is to the Forces of Nature.
Description of Personality:
Contemplative, slow to anger, logical, seems ominous till he smiles, and is usualy defencive. Has bias against needless cruelty, and magic interfering with the natural world.
Forrest is haunted by having to having to kill a defenceless person to keep her from being consumed by chaotic energys. He has since lost any fear of doing what he beleives he needs to to stop chaos, though he tends to recall the impressions of the mind he first absorbed.
Brief History:
The San Fran' Jewlery Museum saw the Dancing Yin's television debut with the rest of the world. http://www.masterzdm.com/NCD/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=PONDER&Number=3 42793
The museum lost a gum tree in it's Australian display as the Forces of Nature gained an emisary, someone who would provide them with the perspective they needed to keep their status secure in the midst of beseigement by beings who had been brought out of their normal timing and places.
He exists to asses, and if need be, neutralise threats to the natural world.
In the mean time he tends the gardens of Victoria (Australia) to great success and satisfaction. (Profit isn't a considderation since he doesn't need money.)
My Ambition:
Preserving and developing the sanctity and respect of nature.
To prevent the order decaying so that good and evil may continue their chess game. (It's better for absolutly everyone that way, I guarentee it.)
Or simply, to stop people unnaturaly abusing nature.
