To Split the Strands of Fate - James' life has effected to a great degree the lives of many dreamers. Misconceptions, mistakes in communications, and problems at home have caused difficulties and strife between many people I would call friend.
This being said, after much personal consideration, I have decided to put into play a Role-Playing Concept much like that of the Ora's - To split the central persona of James into his four componant forms - Each and every one of them with their own personalities, ideas, and powers.
Within this split, James also becomes more useful in many different stories and to many different people. Also by doing this, I Split his artifact of great power - The Infernus Messiah - Into it's three componant parts, and scatter them across the dream in the hands of three of his forms.
I would like to note that this action is entirely of my own consideration and my wishes to assure hte least strife and dischord amongst my friends.
That being said, I would like any and all people offended by this decision to please address me OUT OF CHARACTER about their grievances.
Please note, also, the name changes below will now be considered by the people IN CHARACTER.

James Rayne - The Rogue
Name:James Rayner
Nickname:"Excalibur" or The King Of Blades - Or just Jamesy. ^-^
Race:Half-Fae, Half Human (His ears are slightly pointy, ala-an elf's - and his features are slightly more refined than a normal human - tending towards the Bishi.)
Age:511 Years old, this October. (Being half Fae awards him with extremely long life. James only looks to be about 25 or so, and in his prime.)
Gender:Male
Weight: 210 lbs
Height: 6'6-6'7
Build: James has gotten more slender scince arriving at the dream - Though still tall and wide-shouldered, he is leaner and meaner than ever before.
Eye Colour: it is still that fascinating Sky-Blue
Hair Colour: Raven-black (Black with Reddish Tints) With Long Strands of Silver hair, It forms a multitude of streaks in his hair. The hair has grown to a slightly longer cut, Now it is about down to his shoulders, with a Duo-Maxwell braid, hanging over his right shoulder, usually.
Normal, Everyday stuff:For the first time in centuries, James has put off the unreleaved black. To the shock of some of his contemporaries...he's decided to be a little more flamboyant. A Long sea-blue trenchcoat, Embroidered in gold with a pair of Japanese styled Dragons, tails wrapping around the sleeves of it and heads roaring defiance on the back. A Crimson ruffled shirt, tastefully held into the outfit by virtue of the subtly red baggy pants he now wears. On one collar of the coat, he wears two pins, side by side - the classic symbol he adopted for himself, The Sword piercing the crown, and another device, unknown to but a few - a Coat-of-Arms, bearing three Red Wand's slanted against a blue background. A Black Muskteer's cap (Complete with feather) Caps off the astounding outfit. Travelling boots, dyed black are the last vestige of the dark-bladesman. A Worn, green Dragonskin sheath hangs over his left shoulder - bearing as ever, his blade. The Infernus Messiah.
Accessories: A Silver Celtic style chain, with a small pendant of some sort (A Gold Sword, it's blade encircled by a Silver crown) a Complex, Diamond wedding band around his left hand - and not on the ring finger (One diamond with a pair of Sapphires on either side) A Broadsword that hangs on his back, engraved with the words across the silver hilt "Infernus Messiah" (See Info on: Infernus Messiah)
Personality:A fairly cheerful person - James will almost always be in a good mood. A Lover of battle and what he does, He is content with his life, and though often embroiled in the day-to-day activities of the Jyhad, he doesnt mind any of it for a Second. Though often grimly determined when facing powerful foes, he seems to suffer from a lack of confidence when confronted with god-like beings and powers that are bent against him.
Powers/Abilitys: a "King Of Blades", an aincent order of the finest swordsmen an Age produces - there are currently only 12 surviving King's, including James, in the Universe - it is a title which usually affords the distinction of one of the absolute best. An engineering bent, which gives him some talent in creation and repair of small-vehicles, no matter the Tech Level. He is an experienced Locksmith, and finds it to be a very soothing occupation. He had a long (Most of his early life) Magical upbringing, so his education on most things mystical and magical is very well rounded.
Powers: Medium Strength Telempath and Kinetic - Gained over many years of studious research and training of the mind, James has some skill in reading the minds and emotions of those around him if he chooses to make the effort - He can also perform Mind-speech at fairly long ranged.
Enhanced Reflexes - There is nothing like hundreds of years of battle-field training to put ones reflexes in absolute peak condition. James is able to react quicker to a situation around him faster than nearly anyone - allowing him to take the initative before most folks can even start to move.
Sword Mastery - If a greater swordsman exists in the Universe, James hasnt met him yet. The current King Of Blades, James is prehaps the most skilled bladesman of the age - Trained and mastered in more fighting styles than he has names for.
Excellent Business abilities - Running the Jyhad is no easy task - It requires a singular dedication to the everday resource managing and Minutè of the organization. Thanks to this, James has undergone somthing of a forced-learning process in macro-economics and organization - Now, two years later he can keep up with most of his accountants - and understand them, too.

*After much consideration, James has been split up into Iterations, depending on time, place and situation. James as Jyhad Commander can be found below with all relavant information. Unless otherwise noted however, James will primarily be seen in this form - as The Rogue.)
The Infernus Messiah Eons ago - In a time no longer remembered, an unknown Goddess saw the worlds as they were formed. As time wove onwards, new Universes were born in the fabric of creation - each one with a pantheon of Gods and Godddesses to watch over it, care for it, and assure it's survival. But when they came to the last of their great works - The Ninth Universe - The goddess noticed at the moment of creation a tremble in the Balance that permitted these universes to remain alive. In that terrible moment, it seemed that all the gods Toils would be for nought - that the universe would collapse in on itself and destroy all of their great workings. But the godddess did not wish this to be so. So flinging out her power she created a being of Balance - Taking part of her very essance to check the Scales, and ensure the survival of the universe. This being of spirit existed for time immemorial without thought or memory - The goddess believing him to simply be a fulcrum on the Scales - nothing more than a tool. But as the universe began to grow, the conciousness of the Spirit began to grow as well - and with it, the balance began to falter once more. The Goddess, knowing that action had to be taken - gave the spirit a Mind, and a Mission. And with a farewell of sadness only those beings of immesurable power can have - sent this spirit to inhabit a mortals Body. And thus began the story of James Orcist Rayner - Destined to travel from life-to-life, affecting the balance of the universe with his actions and providing a unique experiment and attraction for the many gods of this realm.
But keeping him in a Mortal body, and keeping him from going on to one of the Paradise's mortal spirits went to, The Goddess sealed his spirit to the mortal plane with a Binding as strong as the Ages - Taking her Three Blades - The Infernus, the blade of Chaos and Dischord. The Messiah, the blade of Order and Rightiousness. And the Hyperion, The blade which held the balance between them. - She formed a new sword, and entwined his spirit with it - The Infernus Messiah. In every incarnation, He would possess this blade in one way or another - and thus, his spirit would remain forever bound to the Human plane. This goddess soon left her spirit to his own Devices, not knowing what would become of him.
(( THis Description will be changed soon. Quaidis, PLease use this in the picture, It's going to take a while to describe the new blades.)) As A Sword, the Infernus Messiah is an amazingly fine example of one. The Blade is designed after a Broadsword- and is generally worn in a Green Dragonskin sheath on his back. While the blade itself is fairly unornimented - save for a few Runes down the tang of the blade - The hilts are Two - a Gold and a Silver set, creating a sort of Cross with the blade and providing extra protection for his hand. A black leather wrapped hilt, with a silver pommel nut inscribed with aincent writings in very small script which only those who are truely gods can decipher. A Red ribbon is often seen wrapped around the nut. The blade itself is absolutely unbreakable. No force of god or man can shatter this sword - Forged in the fires of the universe's creation. It is believed (Though unproven as of yet) that no one of Evil intent can wield the blade - Save for James himself.
Personal History - The Readers Digest version!James Rayner was born as the son of Renal and Synthia Rayner, the firstborn son of the Mage House Rayner on Tenatheron. The Mage House Rayner was - and still is - one of the most powerful houses on the Fae Nation of Tenatheron. His father, the leading Adept in the kingdom, and right hand of The King, was a Kindly, if slightly strict task-master. His mother, a Human adventurer, skilled in the art of the Sword had married Renal against Custom - Though by the time James had been born, the scandal itself had long scince passed beyond memory. Much of James' early life was dedicated to his schooling at home - Being given his love of the Sword by his mother - who gifted him with 'her' famous blade, The Infernus Messiah - and being given his early Magical education. Now, it might follow in any other land that James would be a powerful mage-warrior. Unfortunately, the earliest tests showed that James had, to put it bluntly, no talent at all in Magecraft. Slightly disturbed, his father sent him to The Tenatheron Academy. The finest institution of learning in the Country. There, he met his cousin by Birth - SilverFox, and continued on with his education in everything from basic crafting, Economics, fighting, and other less 'traditional' educations. Many things came to a head Just a week before James' 18th birthday. Silverfox ran from home under mysterious circumstances, and James was quickly recalled home in hopes of allaying suspicions of his involvement. His father however, was not pleased when James told him of the events. A huge arguement ensued - with his father, in extreme anger, ordered him to leave and Never return. James, impulsive and upset over losing his closest confidant in Silverfox, took him at his word, stopping only to take his Sword, coat, and a few other items before heading out of the house and Across the country. In the first major town he reached - A city in the country of Technologica - James signed up with The Starfarer Armada, in the hopes of escaping any of his families wrath. Over the next 60 years, James fought, trained and worked his way up through the Ranks - Honing his skill with a sword, and learning tactics from some of the finest commanders in the universe - Until he reached the highest echelons of Rank, meeting for the first time those who would become lifelong friends, Admeral Vladamir Roznine, Vice Admeral Destiny Tsadis, and Captian General Rene DeLaCroix. After many battles and tribulations, James was given a new task - He was summed alone across the Galaxies to meet the 12th King Of Blades. As he traveled, James became a swordsman without peer. Honing his skill and training relentlessly. it took him 10 years to cross the distance, and when he arrived, a climactic battle ensued, Still refered to this day as The Duel. In a Two-day long fight, James finally emerged victorious, Accepting his Opponents Sword as his prize, and moving on in his travels. He wandered for many years - searching for his purpose in life, unsure now that he had achieved his greatest ambition what he should do next. The monastic order of the sword was not to his tastes, so he took off for a world that had never heard of spacetravel and wandered for a time he could not recall. It was not long after this, that James came to the Napping Cat's Dream....And the rest is History.
Ambition: To bring Peace to the Napping Cat's dream, and put an end to the foul and evil forces which might turn it into a Nightmare.
James "The Blademaster" - The Timelord
*Most of the above information is correct, with some alterations.*
Eyes: Pure emerald green
Hair: Burnished Silver, and long, down towards his waist.
Height: 6'9 - 6'10
(James also looks somewhat ageless. It is difficult to place an age on him in this form.)
Clothing: An Emerald Green robe (Think Samurai Jack) - Made of materiels Unknown with a forest green belt-wrap worked like leaves and branches woven together. The Sword which has, for time immemorial hung over his shoulder now hangs, effortlessly at his waist - It is a different version of the Infernus Messiah - The hilts are now intertwined gold and silver bands which snake around one another, and the handle is wrapped in a silvery materiel. The Blade itself glows a faint, misty green.) He is often also seen with a tall slender staff made of a dark bluish wood and inscribed with various runes of numbers and time-signatures.
Powers and Abilities - (All above apply, with the following added on)
Note for GM's - All of these powers may be considered to occur with near instant. Though their effects may not be visable for any length of time, Their usage is.
Timesight - "With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility"
As Timelord, James has gained the ability to see Into the future, while remaining able to distinguish what action will create One future and what actuion will create Another. Though he is still refining his use of this, It can still see a healthy distance ahead - Allowing James to set plans and prepare his defenses against threats to the Dream (And to his friends.) Though he is not yet adept at Seeing into the past, he is slowly learning as he goes along.
Reality Shift - "In order to understand the Present - We must first look at the events which created it."
Time, the Ultimate Constant. He who controls time can control the events of the world. Each event seemingly leading to the next is a fact of Temporal Law. Each event - Down to the tiniest detail is influenced by actions in the past. By manipulating events in the Past, James can provide himself with the tools he will require in the future. This can also be used to ensure that events he wishes to happen in his present time, happen by manipulating how certain events occured in the past. This is an incredably difficult (And dangerous) Power, but it is prehaps his greatest.
Self Timeflow - "I am the Alpha and the Omega, The Beginning and the End."
With the flows of time at his fingertips, James has the greatest control of the timeflow around himself. Though his manipulations of the distant past are beyond him at the moment, He is still capable of changing himself into the Recent past, or even his future. Providing him with the perfect tools to fool an enemy into thinking he is harmless until the critical moment comes to strike.
Avatar of The Balance - "Above all else, The Balance must be Maintained."
With his assumption of the mantle of the Timelord, James himself has also finally given himself over to that which he was created for, Taking on the full powers of that aincent form. This, combined with his abilities as Timelord have created prehaps the Ultimate Bladesman. His skill is unmatched across the cosmos with his chosen weapon. He can (If in the same degree - That is to say Intermediate at best) manipulate the flows of Order (The underlying Glue of the universe.) and Chaos (The Un-tracable elements of the universe, things such as Luck, Chance, and Anything which is not an absolute certainty.) Such actions can include nudging the flows of Chaos to have a normal sword to have that one-in-a-million strike which snaps the blade...or which will hit precisely the right way and place to do the damage he requires.
Bullet Time - "Bullet time eases the Payne.."
The World famous Bullet time effect- When everything around you seems to slow to crawl and you can move and react faster than everything that moves. Though prehaps just a little bit of foolishness on his part, James developed the Bullet Time Ability for cases when he would have to fight hand-to-hand...or Simply avoid that God-Killing bullet that was just shot with him in the crosshairs.
(These are what I know about and assume to be proper. Dru is the real expert, and I will defer to him if required.)
James "Orcist" Rayner - The Jyhad Commander
(All above references to basic-attributes in the Rogue are also true here.
Dress Clothing: His Jyhad Uniform, Black sylk tunic with silver trim along the edges and silver clothed cuffs. Two Medals, Two rows of Ribbons, and a pair of Pins are the only adornments - The Medals are what appear to be a very old Congressional Medal of Honor, and a pair of Crossed Swords, over a heart, denoting valorous conduct in battle. The Pins adorn the lapels of the tunic, one is a Silver sword with a single ruby set into it's hilts, the other is a Gold blade with a Diamond set into it.
Black dress pants and well kept dress shoes complete the look, showing him to be a remarkable man when in uniform.
Normal, Everyday stuff:A Long, black trench-coat, made out of a strange synthetic materiel which is as good as Body Armor, if not better. The Coat is intricately embroidered with a Dragon, delinated in white, wrapped around a Silver sword on the back of it. Baggy Black pants, with a tooled black-leather belt. A Black, silk shirt, of very nice cut and design. Black, Fingerless biker gloves and a good pair of stout Doc Martins finish this one off.
Additional Skills
Tactical Genius - Taught by some of the best commanders in the history of the Starfarer Armada, James has a significant degree of tactical experience on both large and small scale conflicts. Thus, he is often called upon to personally oversee these conflicts.
Vast Personal resources - Drawing at both his personal fortunes and the backing of several mysterious investors, James can place his hands on virtually any existing technology that he can locate - and can afford to run Research and Development of new weapons and techniques to combat godlike Avatars.
Devoted Troops - The Jyhad's troops are fanatically devoted to their charismatic leader. It has often become a point of wry humor that they are almost religious followers to him - Though this is not strictly true, it is true that nearly 99 percent of the Jyhad's standing forces are approving and loyal to their commander-in-chief, and trust his tactical decisions.
The Jyhad of The Sword - The Semi-Famed Military organization dedicated to the preservation of peace and prosperity in the dream. This organization is fairly vast in terms of resources, and manpower - Below I have posted some of the specifics of it for those intrested - Please note that most of this information is Classified, so the average avatar-on-the-street doesnt know very much of it beyond some wild rumors.
| The Jyhad Of the Sword | | Where they are Stationed | | Where they are stationed - Going by the NCD Map seen in the Settle board, they're between D and E 1, Directly north of The Trans Temporal Temple - Positioned on an VERY big Island (More details later) with a specialized bridge connecting them to the mainland - The surrounding areas is sparsely populated, mostly with forests, fields, and meadows. It's also fairly rolling hilly. They also have secondary bases at various major points in the dream. (Specifically, D-5, due west of Beshroms field - C-4, just west of The Watering Hole, and a small staging point/supply base just north of The Town Square.) | | Troop Numbers | Broken down into exact numbers (This includes ALL Personelle. This does NOT Include Vehicles, Aircraft, or otherwise. Thats' later.)
Air Force- 35 thousand (10 trained on Fixed-wing aircraft, 8 on Helo aircraft, 9 on Transport. 4 Thousand Technicians and 3 thousand Trainers, Officers, and other assorted personelle. 1,000 reservists are also on standby for emergencies.)
Army - Standing Army - 90 thousand actual Troops - Trained in a variety of weapons and fighting styles, plus 50 in support teams - Primarily Engineers, And Medical Staff (Split evenly both ways), 40 in Armored battalions, and 30 thousand specialists (The Specialists include Mages, Psions, Mutants and Parapsychics) (Of those 90, around 15 of them are Officers or field-commanders. The jyhad is used to deploying in small numbers.)
Reserves are about 20 thousand slightly trained backup troops - comprised mostly of Jyhad standard personelle.
Navy - around 40 Thousand - Comprised of varying numbers of Technicians, Captains, specialists, and Whatever else a standing navy might need.
Special Operations - 15 Thousand Highly trained troops (5 Thousand of these comprise James' personal Guard, The Silver Blades - And are his elite fighting force under his direct command. 5 thousand are trained for Black Operations, and so far as anyone besides James and Rene, They dont exist. They're passed off, generally, as members of the Reserves. The other 5 are simply comprised of hundreds of tiny, tight knit fighting groups, trained for Sabotage, Intel operations, and generally screwing up the enemy's organization in a variety of fun ways.)
Space Forces - 20 thousand (8 thousand Pilots for Space aircraft, the rest are crew on their Capital ships.)
James' Private Forces - The hidden arm of the Jyhad, comprises no more than 5 thousand men (Not including his personal guard) These are the Cream of the crop, and are all battle-hardened and supremely trained. In short - The best of the best. | | Vehicles and Aircraft | (This will be broken down by each branch of the Service.)
Airforce - 4,000 Rapier Class fixed wing fighter planes (Using ultra-high speed and hit and run tactics to harry and dogfight the enemy) 5,000 Longsword Class Fighters, (Heavily upgraded models of the F-16, Generally armed with a variety of Missiles, Smart bombs, Specialized weapondry)
around 2,000 Greatsword class Bombers (Modeled after the B52 Flying Fortress, They're upgraded to carry lots more, heavier bombs.)
3,000 Dagger Class Helecopters (Standard fighting Helos, they're generally used for Bandit hunting or chaseing, because they're among the fastest aircraft The Jyhad has.)
2,000 Stiletto Class Helos (The Special Ops birds, silent rotors, Silenced guns and specialized Ion Weapondry which allows them to quietly disable major detection systems from afar)
9,000 Tower Shield class Hovertransports (The workhorse of the Jyhad, and the secret to their fast-reaction times - able to hold around 2,000 Troops apiece, they're also fast deployment transports, and generally have enough of an escort to get them on the ground - Because they use hover tech, they dont actually have to land - just get close to the ground.)
Ground force Vehicles and Armor (Mobile or Otherwise)- (Some of the numbers are taken from the Standing Army, the rest are all assumed to be in the Armor divisions.)
Tactical Armor Corps. (15 thousand troops from the Regular Army) Armed with Katana Class Tactical Armor (Think Classical Mecha, rather than Gundam style.) Each is equipped with standard Heat, IR, and night vision sensors - And most of them are armed with Twin, shoulder mounted Gatling cannons, and some are equipped with handheld Mark-7 Railguns. More on Armaments later.)
The Armor divisons are comprised of 20 thousand Mobile Suit armor troops, and 20 thousand Hovertank and other kinds of ground troops.)
Mobile Suit Divisons - Each one of these 8 Divisons is made up of 5 thousand Mobile Suits, comprised of 2,000 Serpent Custom class MS's, 2,000 Katar class Mobile suits (Based closely on the design of The Mercurius) and 1,000 Support mobile suits, which can include heavy artillery, missile platforms, or snipers depending on the needs of the divison.
Ground Armor - Much more varied than the MS Divison, These forces include around 8,000 Warhammer class Heavy Hovertanks, 4,000 APC's, around 1,000 Dedicated to long-range artillery, and a myriad of other vehicles - most of them prototypes. (The list is too long, and almost all of them arent ready for field-use yet...Any new vehicle I'll tell you about, There are maybe a Round Dozen of em, if you want Details, ask, Im still writing most of them up and I'll give you details later on the one that might be complete soon.)
Other Machine forces - Small groups of the standing army use Hovercycles for scouting. | | Logistics | (what the Jyhad requires to operate in peace and war time situations) - Being that the Jyhad is almost NEVER Out of what you would call "Wartime" Situtation due to the inherant Chaotic nature of the Dream itself (and James' war against the Evil Powers that Might Be in it) I'll stick to war - Peacetime Logistics have never been calculated, they havent needed to. Speaking on a strictly Monitary scale, it requires - for one month of operations (In which there are at least 6 Major battle Operations and 3 dozen smaller ones, along with Patrols, Skirmishes, and the occaisonal Doomsday Disaster,)
It requires them around 48 Billion dollars (American) To keep the entire base running. This includes Arms, Ammunition, salaries, R&D Costs, various mercantile costs - Supplies, Materiels, and Whatever else is on the Agenda for that month) The reason it seems so cheap is that much of the costs are Maintenence - Much of the equipment was bought early on at discounted prices, which allowed them to keep costs down to a minimum now that everything is supplied | | Supply Routes | | Most of his supplies are Teleported in from outlying systems (NOT Primary, These are from other places in the Multiverse - James' Home Universe, via Wormhole, Boomtube, and Jumpgate and from a dozen other tiny suppliers - as well as buying many foodstuffs and metals from around the dream, supporting local economies with gold and silver. | | Weapons | | Insanely varied to the point of astoundment. The Jyhad Armory contains weapons from every Era, Tech-Level, and Universe they can find. Handheld Railguns, Laser-Cannons, Flintlock Pistols, Longbows, M16 Assault Rifles, Sonic Blast Guns, and Proton Packs are just a tiny fraction of what the Jyhad can field - The phiosiphy behind this being, that they never know what kind of threat they will face, so they arm thesmelves for any situation the Games and Theory boys can come up with. A Complete list of Weapondry - to be honest, Plain doesnt exist. There are limits to what he has - No Doomsday Devices, or One-Hit-Kill weapons, or the like. | | Equipment | | Like Weapons, Equipment is as varied as Pie tastes, But the standard package is generally the Same - Battle Wear for the majority of the troopers is a suit made up of Hyper PolySylk consisting of nearly 15 Layers, and augmented by Shield Belts - Alongside a full field kit which includes extra-ammo for whatever weapon they might be using, Survival Gear, Medicines, healing potions and various explosive ordinance. The Kit varies to the Soldiers specifications, And unfortunately, no real set kit exists except for the absolute essentals. When talking about equipment at Large, It runs into Nanotech Lock Picks, Electronic Scramblers, and High-End Computer systems - Said systems culminating in the Jyhad's AI, M.A.I.S.N (Master Artificial Intelligence System Network), or Mason. (More on him later.) | | Species of the Troops | | They run the Gamut - Because the force comprises of Mercenaries, Soldiers, special forces units who merged into the Jyhad, and dream inhabitants who wanted a more exciting life, It includes nearly everything you might encounter in a D&D Game. Humans, Elves of every kind (Including Drow), Dwarves, Halflings, Gnomes, Half-Orcs (And pure orcs..) Linyaari (Acorna series), All creatures mentioned in Mercedies Lackey books, "Angels" (They have wings and a variety of Holy like powers, but who they are angels of is not known - although there seem to be an unusually large amount of them) One or two Demons (Again, very rare - and generally just in the ranks of specialized Mages) Intelligent Dragons (Although, no great Wyrms) And dozens of other disparate members of races from Dhampires, to Driders, to Crazy Talking Shoes. | | Where they were Recruited from | | As mentioned above, from both within the dream and without - the Mix is just about 50-50 between the two. | | General Layout of the base\'s, and what they are built from | | he Main base's Layout is totally classified - and as such, No one but the highest ranking officers knows the ENTIRE Layout of the Jyhad's Main Fortress, the other ones are generally laid out in a very neat, militaristic Fashion - Square Buildings, High built walls, and ruthless Secuirty- Not to mention that the bases that there are are almost entirely built in flat-land areas, so they can see things coming for miles around. The Main Base is comprised of Adamanitum/Titanium alloys, surrounded by a mystery metal that R&D Came up with which combines the lightness of Wood with the strength of Triple Reinforced Adamantine - Roads are plain old Blacktop. | | Communications | | Nanotechnology, like I said above. Using nanite Tech (Ala Deus Ex) They operate on a system of battlefield comms, each person having a specific Nanite frequency (With Frequencies ranging into the millions of variations, they're nicely covered) they are able to co-ordinate the troops down to the individual soldier. For Base-To-Base contact, Wireless communications, Heavily encrypted (512 Bit) are used to allow the bases to keep in touch with one another. | | Detection Systems | | Types of detection are easily listed - Heat, Infra-red, Movement, Magic, Psychic, Psionic, Ground-touch sensors (Sensing movement by the vibrations of the ground) As well as visual and Radar based on objects - The positioning is a little difficult, as they are usually strung together in a unique system of 7 tight chains around the facilities, Each one independant of the other, but if one goes down for too long (Around 4 or 5 minutes without the right access codes to disable the alarm) then it sets off a general alarm for the entire base. For the Main base, there are also Radar stations positioned at 50, 100 and 200 Miles away from the Base in sparse, ring formation to allow them to know who is coming, and from where. | | Space Forces | 5 Main Capital Ships, Two Warbird class, Two Galaxy Class, And the Flagship, both named and classed The Excalibur. The Warbird class Ships are primarily offensive ships - Armed like Battleships of old with Six main Laser Batteries (three Atop, Three on the Bottom), 8 Missile Racks, 8 Bomb racks, anda wide variety of smaller gun turrets for personal Defense. Wheras the Galaxy Class are Defensive Ships - armed with 6 Space/Air Mine layers, 4 Batteries of Ion Cannons, 4 Batteries of EMP Cannons, as well as dozens of racks armed with ECM's and other traditional forms of defense. The Flagship, The Excalibur, is what is to be expected of a Fleet's Flagship - The biggest of all the Jyhad's ships, it is armed with an impressive 8 Main Laser Cannon batteries, 12 main Missile Racks, 8 EMP Guns, ECM and Full-craft shield generator,as well as massive Main Plasma Cannon as it's biggest weapon. Alongside these Monster Ships, there are 2,000 Space Transports (because there are, simply, less people trained for space combat.) 4,000 Scythe class Fighters (Much like X-wings, armed with four laser cannons and two Photon Torpedo Bays)and 2,000 Maul class Bombers (Armed with Artillery, Four main Buster Missiles, and 4 Torpedo Tubes) The Two Warbirds are always on duty, while the Galaxy's go on shifts (for this RP, they are just going onto a demobilized Shift) the Flagship depends on what James feels the week is like, and can be prepped for combat within 2 days time. Being Soldiers (And being paid to be such) Is generally what most of these people once did for a living, for the rest, they are fairly pragmatic about it all - Most of those people are Dreamers, who seem to regard the Jyhad as some sort of Civil defense force, and thus, a good thing to be supportive of. Psychology is discreetly monitored, and when pockets of discontent begin to form, action is generally taken by the administration to smooth them over, or remove them entirely. | | Who supplies them | | Primarily, The Jyhad supplies itself with foodstuffs (This is due to the make up of the HQ - There are literally hundreds of underground levels) Via large Hydroponics areas and Biochemically created Vat food to synthasize Meats, and anything else they would normally have to buy. Replicator technology provides the cook, and viola - Food. Speaking from a standpoint of Equipment, they buy from a variety of resources inside and outside of the dream. They also purchase from manufacturing companies within the dream for anythign that can be made there, thus ensuring a good odor with the community at large. | | Who they sell Spinoff projects | | Once again, James turns to the Starfarers, or to the Intergalactic marketplace, selling them to whatever companies might be intrested. He keeps in touch with the flow of things, and in return for whatever deranged projects his R&D Can come up with, the companies provide vital electronic equipment, the latest military hardware, and some esoteric items THIER R&D comes up with. | | Funding | | Where your funding comes from - This is a bit tricky, because some of the funding is a little dicy if you look at it from the right angle. Thanks to the various patrons he has served as a Bodyguard over the years for, the Starfarers intrest in creating a protective force in the dream to assure the Ubers dont decide to take the war to Their galaxy, and the selling of side projects, James was able to come up with an amazing amount of investment Capital. 2 Years later, nearly 15 Billion (Monthly) in profit comes in (After all Jyhad costs) from the dozens of intelligent investments made in Electronics, Military Hardware, Training Programs, and support of local businesses. By playing Interstellar Stock Markets and trading syndacates, as well as providing elite troops to deploy out-of-dream on a Mercenary basis, has allowed James to help pay back a great deal of the money he had borrowed. Remember, James is not working on a single-world scale, he is working on an intergalactic one, which allows for MUCH more in the way of profits. | | Name of The Protectorate | | The Jyhad of the Sword is refered to in many different Shortenings. James' Boys' is one of the more popular ones, while The Peace-keepers has become another name for them. In general terms though, The Protectorate Of The Blade is a name that is used offically for the lands he has under his personal wing, though Jyhad forces can - and will - deploy to any corner of the dream if nessicary. Jimmy Rei - The Chaos Demon
Important Information Regarding Chaos Demon and Power-level:
Alright, Above, the inital three forms of James rayner are (relatively) easy to place in terms of power-levels, whereas the Chaos Demon is entirely subjective in terms of power. This is explained below in the Powers section.
Furthermore, his form is subject to change at the drop of a hat - the description posted here is the one this demon seems to favor above the others. That is to say, he's usually wearing this unless he's in one of those moods...
Second note, Do not, I repeat, do not assume ANYTHING about this demon. As a physical embodiment of Controlled chaos (In so far as chaos can be embodied without creating large swaths of destruction.) His abilities, personality, ideas and general outlook can change with the speed of the Roadrunner on Ritalin. As a general warning, Take Nothing As Obvious with this character. When I play him (Which will be relatively rare, dependant on the situation) I will be playing him for good reason and to the hilt.
That being said...
Outfit and General Appearance: (Written in the classic mux 'look' form. In otherwords, this is what one see's when one looks at him.)
Towering above the proverbial Joe Average at nearing 7 feet tall, The first thing which is noticed about this man is the near abscence of color about him - save for his eyes. Be-decked in a white coat which highly resembles that of a stage actor (Overblown with plenty of frills and long coat-tails) , down to the brass buttons up and down it, A ruffled white silk shirt, with Black Bowtie, and long white slacks - a pair of shined black shoes, and the stitching on all of this done up in black thread - and capped off, literally, by a White Top hat with a black band. But then one notices something OTHER Than the shoulders. The height is not the only thing different about him. His features have become handsomely Draconic, extending mouth into muzzle, ears into much longer points, and clawed hands - his skin is tinged to a pure white - Almost a completely true Anthro - the shoes alone leave the matter in Question, and a long, sweeping mane of white hair is slicked down from beneath the hat. a Brass-topped white cane completes the ensemble - and his eyes stare out at you - Blue one moment and red the next, and Green the moment after that. Switching from color to color and containing just a bare hint of Sanity behind them. A Man poised on that incredable edge between Madness and Genius.

Powers and Abilities -
The Luck of the Devil "He has the Devil's own luck, that boy.."
The fundamental force which Chaos itself governs is Chance. For The Chaos Demon, The dice are cosmically loaded in his favor. Blades break against cloth, he seems to always turn the right card, or seem to be undefeatable in battle. This power is not all consuming however, especially when the element of Luck is eliminated from a battle or confrontation. When Luck becomes a major part, however, he is nearly guaranteed Victory over his opponents - and those that have underestimated his eternal good fortune have often been brought down, and hard.
The Energies of Chaos
The two forces of the univers, Order and Chaos constantly drive against one another, while working together to create the world we live in. Everything, down to the least donut is a combination of Chaos and Order. With his ability to manipulate the energies of Chaos, the Demon can use it in any one of a thousand ways, much like a mage would use magical Energy. The uses of this are terribly limited, as upseting too much Chaos energy can result in "Reburn" or backlash.
Chaos Control
As a player, I reserve the right with the Chaos demon, to pull absolutely WIERD and completely unlisted powers. As this character will NOT often be used in serious role-play, this is not a problem. However, when I do use him, a full power list for THAT SESSION will be provided.
