It's kept in a sheathe on her back, and Mel would swear it has a mind of it's own, not that it does. | | Necklace | The last memento of her dead friend, she will protect this with her life. This necklace is shaped like half of a yin-yang, made of silver with a black gem, on a silver chain. It's one of the few things she would defy a male for. | | Daggers | These daggers are made so that when she attacks with the blade, she hits with a blunt edge instead of a sharp one. these are carried in a pair of sheathes around her waist. her original ones were given to her by her sister, Celes, and her friend, Al, but as they were starting to fall apart, she recently got a new pair from Tannim's blacksmith shop. She still keeps the old ones for sentimental reasons however. The funny thing is, she doesn't know the one is from her sister. She knows it's from some funny lady with black hair and purple. These are mostly used by Millenia. | | Jade Jewelry | Given to her as a gift, this consists of a necklace, a pair of bracelets, and a dragonfly shaped pin. These together form a kind of web that prevent her soul (and Millenia's) from being bound. | | Abilities/Skills & Power Level | | She has rather high magical power, all of which is accessed with her flute melodies. Most of her attacks are elemental, with a weak healing spell thrown in. All her spells require the target to be in her sight, and her to be looking at it, as well as concentrating on it! | | Fireball | This spell sends about three small balls of fire at the opponent. It’s not very powerful, but it’s pretty good for starting a campfire! | | Ice Daggers | This spell creates about ten to twenty shards of ice, sending them towards her opponent. They’re non-fatal, but pretty painful. The only way you could die from them is blood loss, but that means a lot would have to hit you. | | Razor Leaves | This spell just sends a whirlwind of sharp leaves at her target. Again, non-fatal, but it’s pretty annoying. | | Lightning | This spell sends a nice bolt of lightning at a person. Unfortunately, she hasn’t learned how to aim it properly so she always zaps herself along with her target. | | Healing | This spell lets her heal her target of cuts. She can’t heal too much, as this one takes a lot of energy out of her. The worst wound she can heal is a gunshot wound that only passes through a person’s flesh; she can’t do anything about the bone. | | Special Effects (If any) | | When she heals someone, any pain the person had felt gets transferred to her | | if she uses too much magic, she’ll usually pass out | | If she doesn’t have a target in eyesight or isn’t concentrating on one, usually a nearby tree, or herself will be hit (more likely to be herself) | | There is her alter Ego, Millenia. Whenever Millenia is in control of her body, her eyes glow red. Millenia is a separate spirit living in Melody's body! Even though their spirits are separate, if Millenia is destroyed, Melody will follow, because of the emptiness her leaving would cause. | | If Melody and Millenia have goals common enough, they can enter a state where they work together. however, this is highly risky, as their souls may merge, and in the end, destroy them both. however, in this state, Their magical abilities are doubled, and her physical attributes also seem to increase. | | She also happens to be a rather good flautist | | Because she is mostly self trained, when Melody plays her flute, sehtends to have quite a bit ofenergy leakage. This makes an interesting problem of making her very exhausted | | Weakness | | If you learn her songs, her spells are extremely predictable. She also doesn't know what she's doing really. She's like a beacon to anyone who can sense magic. Almost blinding really. There is also her alter ego... who she has trouble keeping from gaining control, especially when she's angry. When Millenia come out... usually all heck breaks loose. | | Description of Personality | | She is *terrified* of males, but at the same time, respects them with all she is. If anyone male tells her to do something, she will do it, no questions asked, usually with apologies for not anticipating their needs. Also, She's extremely nervous. She also tends to apologize, too much. Even for apologizing if someone tells her she doesn’t need to. She’s really a kind person; you just need to get through the shell. She seems weak, but is truly strong deep inside. She also hates killing... and is completely unwilling to do it, unless a male orders her to do it. | | Brief History | Melody was born into the Kenstara family in the town of Coral. There’s one thing about this family. Everyone in the direct bloodline is born with an alter ego. No one really remembers why they exist, except for the alter egos themselves, and usually the topic never comes up, so they never mention it. Also, since it is direct bloodline, all the alter egos are related. For example, Millenia has a brother, who lives in Mel’s brother, she has a sister, who lives in Mel’s sister, and a father, who lives in Mel’s father. Since Mel’s mother isn’t in the direct bloodline, she doesn’t have an alter ego, so Millenia doesn’t have a mother. Around the age of three, she found a magical flute in the woods behind her house, and when her mother discovered the flute was magical, she began to teach her a little bit about magic. That’s how she knows the little bit she knows. At the age of five, she had to be sent away. You see, a woman named Picari was after her magical gifts, and started to kill people, using magic, and framing Melody. If she hadn't been sent, her entire family would be killed, all because the people didn't care to distinguish between the songs of a flute and a clarinet.
It worked, and the Niroshi family in the town of Mideel adopted her, to widen the gene pool in their town a bit. Yes, most of the people are married to relatives, so she would have gotten to be the fresh blood in town. She was made to forget her life with her true family, because they wanted to eliminate any desire in her to return to Coral, and so she forgot hat women do indeed have rights and are more then breeding tools. In order to make sure she took the drugs that kept her memories suppressed, she was told she had a condition where if she didn’t take her "medicine" she would die. Then, her hell began. Until the age of ten, she was doing pretty okay, managing to keep herself in one piece. that all changed one day. in school, she was told to go to the counselor's office. When she got there, she saw Seiren and Nanami in a corner. She was given a choice. She could let the men in the room do whatever he wished to her, or she could be forced to watch as it happened to Seiren. Nothing would happen to Nanami, seeing as she was only two years old, but there was a promise of things to come. She knew what was to come, because she knew what males thought. The general way of thinking was to break the females in early, so more, hopefully male; children are born as soon as possible. Melody didn't even think twice. She let the men do what they wanted. When they were through with her, they tossed her aside, and turned to start with Seiren. Then, Melody snapped, revealing her Alter Ego. Millenia killed the men, and then let Mel back in control.
Flash forward four years. Mel had been protecting her friends for the past four years now, offering herself in their places. Mel was with her only true male friend, Al. suddenly, a group of men from the town attacked. These men couldn’t stand that Melody had a mind of her own sometimes, and would dare associate with a male without fear. Plus, to be blunt, they wanted sex. When Al tried to protect her, they shot him in the shoulder. Melody snapped, again, Millenia coming out, and Al tried to stop the murderous Millenia. He reached and put his hand on her shoulder, to get her attention. She turned breaking his neck, and let Mel back again. Millenia was actually shocked by what she had done, so she let Melody back into control. Yes, Millenia actually liked Al. Unfortunately, when she let Melody see what had happened from her memories, and accidentally forgot to put the usual bit of detachment that tells Mel that they are Millenia’s memories. So Mel always believes she was the actual killer. She tried to kill herself after that, but didn't succeed. After three more years, she was just playing her flute to get away from life, when she appeared in the dream. | | Ambition | | I... Would like to be able to make some semblance of a life... | A book that only exists on her family's spiritual plane, She doesn't know what's in it... mostly because she doesn't know how to read. what it actualyl contains is a full history of her kind, and all hte details of her abilities, along with all the little rules and such of their contract (as it's an oral tradition at the moment, because none of her family can read.) It also happens to be in the language of whatever body the alter ego is inhabiting, so in this case, it's written in Melody's language. | | Sword | Again, only on the spiritual plane, Sometimes she'll train with it. Also, if another spirit attempts to invade Melody's body, she can use it to help defend against said spirit. | | Abilities/Skills & Power Level | | The Opposite of MElody, Millenia is a good physical fighter, or as good as self training can get oneself. That being said, she's no professional, and her fighting style has a bit of a thrown together "do whatever works" methodology to it. | | Also, she has the requisite ability to take over Melody' s body... More in special effects. | | Special Effects (If any) | She can control Melody's body, but there are some restrictions, such as she cannot take control while Melody is asleep. This also works hte other way. Melody cannot regain control from Millenia if Millenia falls asleep while in control

| | Millenia tends to come out when Melody gets extremely pissed off, to the point called "Snapping" which is kind of an automatic reflex that throws the alter ego in control, or she comes out if she can somehow wrestle control from Melody, which usually happens in extreme danger, though she seems to gain control more and more often, and just because she feels like it. |
Weakness | | She is bound to protect Melody by the contract her family made with Melody's. She thinks it's kind of pointless, however, she is bound to it just by her very nature, and she will carry it out. This contract is basically a pact of protection. Mel's family line is somewhat special, being able to support another spirit living in their body without harm to either. If all of them died, well, it wouldn't be very good for Mil's family line. so Mil's ancestor promised to protect Mel's, in exchange for living in Mel's ancestor's body. another part is that the alter egos would be born into all the descendants etc. etc. ANYWAY. The basic conditions are that the alter ego protects the one whose body they inhabit, while the other provides the body. Millenia has been trained since birth to follow this contract, and so many of her actions are made with this contract in mind. She would protect Mel through Hell and High water, no matter how much she really hate this job. | | Description of Personality | Her main purpose is to be a guardian for Melody, to get her out of danger should the need arise. She never forgets this purpose, as it's been the purpose of alter ego's in her world for generations, since they were created. She tends to believe in violent solutions to problems, usually involving killing them. She also, although she is Mel's guardian, always wants control of the body, mainly because she feels Mel can't take care of herself, but also because she wants to know what it's like to be a semi-normal person. This tends to lead to Melody suddenly seeming to completely zone out in attempts to keep Mil buried. Her and MElody aren't on very good terms, but that's only because they can't really talk to each other, all Millenia can do is show Mel bits of what happened when she was in control, and Mel can't do that at all. Anyway, Attitude-wise, she can be really rude and disrespectful, and is slow to trust anyone, give all that's happened to Melody, so she will be distrusting as a protection for Melody, however, if you earn her respect and trust, she'll defend you as willingly as Melody. She also has a strong liking for killing people, even though she won't go on killing sprees, she has no hesitation in killing one who's attacked her, and rarely lets one who attacks her and Melody live. she's only regretted killing one person in her whole existence, and that was Al, because he was one of the few people who had earned her respect. It was then that she discovered sadness, and it truly confuses her
