Build:Athletic. She is decently shaped and keeps in excelent physical condition. Facial and body features that are a mix between asian and russian give her a exotic apperence. Her left hand has been replaced with a metalic prostetic, as well as her right leg. Both of these are uncovered and obviously prostetic. Thier apperence is smooth Metal bands set up in a aretistic paternover what looks like articulated metalic muscles. She tends to keep her hair in a tight braid.
Coloration (skin, scales, fur, feathers, hair, etc.): She has a fair tan too her olive skin that dosnt seem too fade. Her waist long hair is black and almost appears to absorbe the light around it, which infact it is doing.
Eye Color: Right eye Green, and it gives off a faint green glow. The left eye is a cybernetic replacement and is a glossy black with a obvious mechanical iris at its center.
Clothing / Armor: She prefers Bright colors, reds, oranges, greens, blues. Her style of dress is Kimonos, mens styles since the females are too confining. Armor wise her cloths are made of advanced nano-frabrics, and thus serve as armor and clothing all wrapped in one. Its Hard too cut or stab through, and aginst proectiles and energy weapons it works by stiffining and spreading the energy out across its self.

Her personal weapons are limited too 3 swords, two of which are extreamly old, and a short knife.
The first is a high tech Katana, a modern weapon made of modern alloys, it is a fancy and showy weapon. The Metal used in its blades construction is transparent, through etching and nano filiments there is a Orental dragon floating in the center of its blade that glows with a bright white blue light. The weapon is solidly constructed and every bit a usable tool of war, but its showy. She considers it a dress weapon, and wears it as such.
The secound is a Rather plain Modern age Tanto blade, short knife. This two is a bit showy but she wares it more often, its has a normal metal blade that is well made and studry.
Her prized and most used weapons however are her Living Daisho, Paird Katana and Wakizashi. Living is a bit of a misconception when speaking of these weapons. They are old, Rumored to be from the medival history of the human home world and its fudal period. True or not these two swords are forged in the traditonal folded method of such weapons, from steel, and then tempered. The weapons are so old, and had seen so many owners that thier soul, instiled in them at creation, has become strong enough to be considered a real thing and not a myth. The weapons never seem to dull, never rust, are much tougher then mere steel should be, and always seem to repair nicks and other relativly minor damage. She treasures these weapons and treats them with a vast amount of respect.
Her repalcement Eye offers her a few features that her normal eye dosnt. It has a hud and remote computer link, it can use low light and infra red, and it can give a reading on distences, angles, and speeds. this however is limited too only that eye.
Pets: She owns a roughly 12 foot long Asian style Mechanical serpent dragon. Its AI is fairly smart and it can even hold conversations. It is Highly styalized and while decently study its far from cabat capable, unless you want it too push buttons.

She has a fairly good education, reading, writting, Math, the works. It would equate to a Modern day Doctorate in sword work, if such exsited from a collage.
She knows swimming, ridding, archery (( and is a pretty good shot with a bow )) climbing, Hunting, and she knows how to operate inside a space craft and in zero-G even in combat.
She is considered a first rate sword master, having mastered the art of combat with bladed weapons, not just the Katana, and is known to prefer dual weapon fighting.
Thou she avoids the use of, and dislikes, guns, she is a fairly decent shot.
Her stength, speed, reflexes, are at the peak of what she can achive as a human without bluking way up.
The particular combat art that Mikalya was taught is referred too as Iaijutsu in her day and age. Itís not a widely taught art in her time as it lacks the flashy movements, and more energetic movements of other styles in its attacks. It has been know for two masters of this art too simply stand, hands on hilts, and stare at each other for a long period before the first strike is ever made, and then after a quick clash of blades, re-sheath and go back too staring or making small movements, counter movements, in position and stance. Some battles between two masters of this art never even come too blows; one simply admits defeat and walks away, swords never drawn.
Some misinterpret this arts approach too combat as slow, ponderous, and easily taken advantage of, they are wrong, and usually pay sorely for that error. The Iaijutsu master is far from slow, and his attacks that involve drawing his blade are by far his fastest and usually most lethal. The speed of a draw attack can catch even those prepared for it off guard, and the power and precision of those draw attacks is as surprising too most. This art values speed and power as highly as any other sword art, however even more important is using that speed and power at the precise moment when its effect will be the greatest, and thus conserving energy, maximum return for each strike.
In combat a master of this art goes on the defensive, usually using a weapons sheath, or a offhand weapon, too parry and block if needs be, and making evasive movements when needed. When not forced too actively defend they will look at their opponents posture, movements if any, and look for clues in their body language as too were and how they will attempt too strike, they will then slowly shift their stance, weapon grip, too compensate and plan an attack in any opening they can see in their opponents attack plan. If they are however forced too actively defend themselves from attacks, they will remain defensive for as long as possible and look for the precise moment to launch one of their lighting fast draw attacks. If the attack fails too strike home, most take the opportunity too put some room between them and the attacker and re-sheath their weapon, occasionally their will seize the initiative and lunch a small series of attacks with the intent too end the fight if they feel its possible.
The art is reflective of the philosophy that goes with it, while tactics are taught as part of the sword play, the over all attitude is that the simplest, most direct path is best when used at the precisely right moment. This attitude also reflects in the sword work of this art, the attacks, cuts, riposteís, foot and body movements of this art are straight forward, elegant in their simplicity. These simple and uncomplicated movements are then woven together into plans of attack that allow for the opening of the right moment, sort of like a chess game. The basics of the art are simple, clean, uncomplicated by fancy or showy additives, but the orchestration of those simple moves becomes a complex dance with one purpose, too provide that precise moment when the most direct, simplest path, sees its opening, then they strike.
The simplicity of attacks, and the maneuvering of the master as they use the art, allows them too maximize the energy behind each strike. Much more then this though the art teaches techniques too improve the speed of attacks, and the amount of power focused into each strike, especially the draw strikes. If given time too truly focus their energy for an attack the sword strike can be devastating, cleaving through even stone and metal with seeming ease, though such truly powerful attacks have their toll on the master using them, physically and mentally exhaustive as they are.
She has mastered a Martial art refered too as the art of seezing. It stresses building up the hand, wrist, and foram muscles too levels were the practiconer is able too crush things with thier bare hands. It then employs alot of grapples, holds, and locks. Its most Vicsous attacks however come when the practiconer seezes his target. In seezing the practioner aims too grab a joint, nerve cluster, or just musscle mass and simple crush it with thier hand. They also use body conturing, which is using the edge of the hand, or the formarm, too shift a targets muscles and bruise them. Its preformed usally on the arms, legs, or ribs By slaming into one end of the target area, and then violently adnw ith as much force as is possible, running the forarm, or hand edge along, the muscle there.
She is fundementally human, and while a bit more resistent too desease, what will kill a human will kill her.
Her prostetic limbs offer her no advantages over what her real ones did other then being made of a light weight metal of some sort. they are tougher, but thier touch recepters make her feel whats happening too them, and they are no stronger then she is.
Using the Enhanced vsion modes of her artifical eye means that she either deals with the over lap between it and her real eye, or she closes her real eye. This limits her field of vision.

Mikayla comes from a socity that Has been travling in space for so long that sailing between stars is common place. SO long infact that she became a swords master near the end of its need and popularity.
On a space ship there are many things that are dangerous too damage or rupture, not too mentiont he hull its self on less armored craft. Heavy enough armor can stop the lower velocity frangable ammos that are safe inside such vessels. This gave rise too the use of Mele weapons once again, and that in turn gave birth too a whole new era of weapon masters.
Mikayla grew up im a very japanese and russian influenced home, and the two blade she covets today were family airlomes that had been passed form generation too generation. From the moment her grandfather sat her on his knee and showed them too her she became obsesed with learning too use them and bring honor toot he blades once again. All through school and latter schooling trained on using swords, and in the martial arts under her grandfather. At about the age of 20 her dedication paid off, she meet a Iaijutsu master who had come too see her families blades for him self, there too admire the weapons and thier age. He say in her the dedication and focus needed for his art and offered too teach her. 15 gruling years later she emerged form under his training a student of the school of Iaijutsu. He even helped her get her first Job as a Royal body guard.
The Next 30 years would see her molded into a Iaijutsu master, and a renowned sword master. She learned many lessons over this time, some the hard was as her artifical parts attest too. the years would also however see the advancement of weapons technology, and the decline of the needs of swords and a return too guns. She soon found her self out of work, a Ronin of the day and age. No one wanted too learn sword work, no one needed a royal body guard that used a blade. Finding her self ill suited too a common day job she drifted, finding what work she could here and there. Her drifting ended the day the shuttle she was on dropped out of its transistion, its crew and all other passengers gone, and crashed in the dream.
