NOTE: Some of the stuff in here is subject to change (the magic spells in particular, since I haven't used them much yet). Just thought I'd warn everyone ahead of time so that no one's surprised if something changes.

Name: Sovan Kawasagi.
Age: Appears to be in his early 20s. Real age unknown.
Gender: Male.
Height: 6 feet tall.
Weight: 180.
Build: Slim yet muscular.
Race: Human (Has presently assumed the form of a golden-furred anthro tomcat. The reasons for this remain unclear, though it would seem that this was a form he asked for)
Fur color: Golden. He also has spikey brown hair, which is usually hidden by the coolie hat he wears.
Eye color: Sky blue.
Clothing: Yellow karate Gi jacket with the sleeves ripped away to reveal his arms, a black cloth belt that knots tightly at the waist (Like most martial artists wear), black cloth pants, and a pair of glasses.
Accessories: Green armguards that cover Sovan's forearms, forest green cape with off-white outlining, coolie hat (similar to Rayden's from Mortal Kombat), and mystical katana known as Kamiryuken, the Divine Dragon Sword.
Current abilities: Sovan has a varied range of skills: He is a skilled martial artist and swordsman, and has trained to use his Chi to not only augment his skills (allowing him to block bullets with his sword, leap and run higher and faster than normal people, etc), but also for more spectacular feats such as flying (though this requires concentration on his part) and firing bolts of energy from his bare hands (not the most powerful attack in his arsenal--about the force of a fierce punch, and the size of a tennis ball--but a good choice when he doesn't have time for his advanced techniques).
Weaknesses: While he's a gifted fighter and mystic, Sovan isn't all-powerful--he can take harm from conventional attacks (though those buffered by supernatural forces are more likely to succeed), and when his reserves of Chi and magic are depleted, he's left relatively powerless.
Special Technique List (Edited on Jan/2007):
Reikoha: Sovan release a potent blast of Chi energy from his hands, reminiscent of the Hadoken attack from Street Fighter. Because more focus is put into this than regular Ki shots, this tends to be more powerful than the standard bolts. At full force, it could probably put a hole in the size of a building.
Chi Smoke Blast: Sovan focuses his Chi energy, then releases it in a blast of luminiscent smoke that emerges from his body. The amount of power this technique has depends on how much Chi Sovan focuses into it. Normally, he focuses enough Chi to send oppponents flying backwards and stun them for a second or two, but nothing more.
Dragon Fist: Sovan focuses his Chi so that it forms around his hand in the shape of a dragon. Sovan can then use this to amplify the power of his attack. Even blocking enemies will takes some degree of damage from the impact of this technique.
Reiki: Sovan channels an ancient form of healing known as Reiki, usually seen as purple mist-like energy which radiates from his hands. The amount of ability Sovan has in channeling this ancient force allows him to treat various forms of illness (including supernatural ailments such as possession), heal medium-degree physical wounds (it cannot restore lost limbs), and send a feeling of tranquility and calm through whoever's being treated.
Cosmic Flame: This spell conjures up to eight balls or magical fire to be guided wherever the caster sees fit. Each of these flames is a different color of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, violet, and pink), and they can be used for multiple purposes. When arranged in a ring, they can serve to accentuate mystic forces and protect against negative spirits. They also serve as a safe form of heat and light; illuminating dark places and providing warmth to those who are cold without burning them if touched. Therfore, there is no risk of injury or burning something down. These colorful flames will begin to fade as the amount of magic put into them wanes, disappearing altogether when the magic is completely used up.
Black Hole: This spell/technique conjures up a minature black hole in front of Sovan, which can absorb any energy which happens to get near it. Among other things, this includes Chi, magic, and projectile shots. When used in close proximity to an opponent, this can also be used to drain their mana/Chi, making it harder for them to use abilities which recquire magic. This takes a considerable amount of concentration and magic to maintain for long periods of time.
Dragon Possession: While not really a special technique, Sovan's role as host to the Star Dragon protects him against psychic intrusion and possession, and also enables him to perform astral projection (during which time his astral body rides on the astral version of the Star Dragon to see faraway events, or commune on a metaphysical level).
Stellar Dragon Wave: A combination of Chi and magic, this technique allows Sovan to summon the Star Dragon to attack his foes in a surging wave of cosmic energy. Due to the power of the Stellar Dragon Wave and the sheer effort involved (this is an all-or-nothing attack), Sovan saves this as his trump card for desperate situations. However, if properly channeled, the Dragon Spirit will harmlessly pass through anything/anyone which is not its target (though they will feel an incredible wave of cosmic power pass through their system) to strike that which is.
IMPORTANT NOTE: My characters are my original creations, so I'd rather that no one steals them, their backgrounds, their powers, or anything else related to them, for their own use. if you plan on using them in some work of your own, let me know first so I can approve it.
OOC: * As far as I know, Chi and Ki are basically the same thing.
