Age: 14 Gender: Female Species/Race (human, furry type, robot, alien, etc.): Human Height: 5'0" Build:Fairly scrawny, she has the awkward build of an early adolescent. Coloration (skin, scales, fur, feathers, hair, etc.):Fair skinned, with a few faded freckles spotting her nose. Her shoulder-length copper hair is usually worn pulled back, although a few stray hairs tend to stick out defiantly in the front. Eye Color: Emerald green Clothing / Armor: Usually seen wearing a white lace-up peasant blouse under a long slate blue vest, with a pair of charcoal grey breeches and a pair of well-worn black leather boots. Occupation / Class: Squire Affiliations (family, friends, organizations):Faithful squire to her master, Jade. She has several siblings (two older brothers and a younger sister), and writes back to her family often. Accessories (weapons, jewelry, tools, magic items, vehicles, etc.): While she proudly keeps a short sword similar to Jade's sword at her side, Laine admits she hasn't quite come up with a name clever enough for it yet. She wears a signet ring bearing the Ademar family crest on a chain around her neck. Otherwise, she is usually bogged down with carrying most of her master's supplies. Abilities/Skills & Power Level: Can (proudly) help Jade into her fullplate armor in under four minutes. (she timed it!) She has a little experience with the sword, and has picked up a small smattering of healing magic. Weaknesses: Laine is almost blindingly devoted once you have her attention. Although sometimes reason catches up to her, she can get herself worked up too easily and has a tendency to run into situations without thinking. Description of Personality:A very driven and devoted individual, Laine has never been known to give anything up easily. Always willing to cheerfully give 110% in everything she does, some find her infallible cheer to be inspiring- but most find it somewhat obnoxious. Brief History: Although it's said the Ademar family, in past generations, bore many a strong and brave warrior, the more recent bloodlines consist of simple farmers. Laine, however, has always dreamed of a more exciting life, and although she lacked the proper training, has always claimed that she will someday be the great warrior her family name once suggested. Her opportunity finally came one day when the renegade Paladin Jade Transfuga came to town. Deciding that her life's calling could only be answered by becoming a squire to this great warrior, Laine bid a tearful goodbye to her family and set off on her new path to becoming a Paladin. ...of course, this was all news to Jade when Laine approached her and announced herself to be the young woman's new squire. Although not particularly pleased with the idea to begin with, Jade soon found Laine to be more of a help than a burden (most of the time) and eventually accepted Laine as her squire. A brief and character revealing answer to the question, "What is your ambition?": "To be a great and just Paladin!"
