Shibiri

General Information: Name: Shibiri (Real name was Eliza Turner) Physical Age: 16 Real Age: 20 Gender: Female Race: Human vampire with squirrel features Height: 3'2" Weight: 52 lbs.
Appearance:
Description: Shibiri, once a normal sixteen-year-old girl of average height and perfect figure, has changed much since she was turned. Due to the particular version of her curse, she has gained various animalistic features. Her body is covered in a thin, almost invisible layer of light brown fur. This makes her soft and fuzzy to the touch, but her dead cold skin doesn't make her very good for petting. Her hair, when straight, hangs well below her shoulders, but rarely is it ever straightened. Due to her lack of grooming, her hair is frizzy and all over the place, and could use a good wash. Her fingers and toes have retractable claws that she can use for climbing or fighting, and she has a large floofy squirrel tail. Rather than having human ears, she has fuzzy squirrel ears, and her eyes are light blue when not in the dark. In the dark, they usually glow a pale red. She is usually crouched down on hands and feet, rarely standing up, and her tail is normally arced over her back. Shibiri also has the classic vampire fangs that can extend or retract as needed. ((See bottom of profile for more)) Eyes: light blue, red in dark Hair: reddish brown Skin: pale white skin covered in a thin layer of light brown fur. Build:Shibiri is sleek and muscle toned, with various animalistic features.
Possessions: Shibiri wears no clothing, and carries no weapons. The concept of clothing is unknown to her, and she uses her natural abilities rather than guns and swords. I understand that this may bring up some issues as to the whole PG-13 thing, but I'm not making her this way to be perverted. It is part of her character concept that she would wear no clothing, as since I don't flaunt the fact, it is rarely an issue.
Shibiri's only possesion is her cardboard box, which she uses for traveling during the daylight. This box, which as a small eyehole cut into it with a tinted lense over it, was shown to her by a mysterious rat which she ate after it led her to the box. The rat has been seen again twice.. a fact that has left Shibiri astounded and confused.
Affiliations: Good Friends: Bar Gamer, Irisu People she likes: Alizara, Mari, People she knows: Amelia Crespin, Spiegel Spitzer Enemies: Garth the Exterminator, Eleven (whom she still considers, though pretends not to, be an evil Maerd portal that is trying to destroy Mari’s head.) Pets: None
Abilities: Natural Abilities: Physical Abilities: Shibiri has very good balance and an acute sense of hearing and smell. She is very acrobatic and a great climber, able to leap from tree to tree and climb on vertical surfaces with little trouble. Do to her great strength, she can climb most surfaces without need of her claws, as long as there is something with which to get a hand (or finger) hold. Shibiri is also very fast, and can take a hit very well. Since she is already dead she feels little to no pain and so is hard to beat in a fight. Aside from being strong and fast, she can also be silent and like a shadow. Shibiri is a predator, and she knows how to hunt, kill, and survive in the wilderness. In a fight, she usually tries to use her surroundings to her advantage rather than just brute force… unless she goes into frenzy. Sensory Abilities: Shibiri's sense of smell, hearing, and sight are all far greater than that of a normal living human beings. With her sense of smell she can smell a drop of blood a mile away, or track her prey across miles of expanse. With her sense of sight she can pick out minute movements and colors no normal person's eyes could see. This increased perception aids her in hunting and avoiding ambushes. Shibiri's sense of hearing is so great that she can actually hear the heartbeat of a living person ten feet away. This is useful as it can allow her to tell whether someone is telling a lie by listening to their pulse rate, or hear an enemy trying to approach from the rear. Mental Abilities: Shibiri is not very smart, though she still retains a small amount of basic academic knowledge including numbers and letters, though reading a book or doing long division would be beyond her. However, Shibiri is a good problem solver when she takes time to think about things, and is also very alert and aware of her surroundings; her keen sense of hearing and smell only aid in this. She also has a strong connection with animals, aided by her ability to communicate with them empathetically. Supernatural Abilities: The Blood: By channeling extra blood through her system, Shibiri can enhance her speed, speed her natural healing process, increase her strength, increase her resistance to damage, or even make herself seem more human. Doing this uses up blood, obviously, and so she must use it sparingly. However, when in a bind, it's good to be able to have a sudden burst of strength or speed. While she would probably never have a reason to do this Shibiri can also make herself seem more alive with this ability, bringing color and warmth to her skin. This power also fuels her healing ability. As long as she has blood in her system she can heal almost any wound in seconds, though doing so uses up the blood quickly. Speak With Animals: Shibiri can communicate with animals of various types. While she doesn't have to, she usually chirps or chitters at them. In truth, she need only lock eyes with the animal and establish an empathic connection with the creature. While this isn't actually speaking, per say, she can communicate basic desires and emotions to the animal. This doesn't mean the animal will do what she wants it to, it only means she can communicate with it. Eyes of the Night: Shibiri can see perfectly well in pitch darkness, not requiring any kind of light source to make out even the most minute of details. When this power is active, and it usually is, it causes her eyes to glow a pale red. Heighten Senses: This power increases Shibiri's sense of smell, sight, and hearing. This in addiction to her already acute senses, making her able to see, hear, or smell things with accuracy from very long distances away. She need only will this power into effect, and it drains her in no way. The only reason it isn't always active is that it can be rather annoying to hear and smell everything around you like it were right there, and can make sleeping rather difficult. Claws: Another benefit of her curse, Shibiri has the ability to grow or retract claws from her fingers and toes sharp enough to rend flesh with ease and even stone or metal with little trouble. Earth Meld: Because of the bestial qualities that come with her version of the curse, vampires of Shibiri's type have the ability to sink into the Earth, giving them a place to hide during the day when they would otherwise be out of luck. Using this power requires blood though, and if Shibiri is working on and empty stomach, it's unlikely she'll have the energy to use this useful ability. Beast Form: Like many vampires, Shibiri can take the form of a number of animals. While she usually takes the form of a squirrel, she can transform into various other types including wolves, bats, and rats. Doing this requires a large amount of blood, depending on how quickly she wants to change, and so she cannot do it on an empty stomach. Vampires Kiss: Shibiri, like most vampires, must feed on the blood of the living to survive. However, her "kiss" has some special properties that some vampires don't have. When she first bite her victim they will feel a sharp prick of pain, which is almost immediately cancelled out by an intense feeling of pure pleasure. This feeling is created from a special enzyme in Shibiri's saliva that coats her fangs. The enzyme triggers the pleasure receptors in the victim's body, making the entire experience rather enjoyable, if a bit creepy. The enzyme is also very addictive. When Shibiri releases her prey they are immediately be left with a hollow, empty, feeling that can only be replaced by the pleasure that comes with the bite. This effect, while technically non-magical, is still very hard to resist. Depending on how long Shibiri fed depends on how long the hollow feeling will last. The purpose of the effect is to create willing subjects on whom Shibiri can feed, and so the more blood she draws, the less intense the hollow feeling is. If the victim were begging for blood when there was barely enough in them left to survive, the addiction would be pointless, as the subject would die if they lost anymore. The effect is strongest when Shibiri takes small amounts of blood, tempting the victim with the pleasure for only an instant before leaving them with the hollow empty feeling for the next few hours to come. The enzymes in the vampires saliva also has a minor healing effect, used for closing up the puncture wounds of her prey so as to not waste blood. The Embrace: As all vampires, Shibiri can create more of her kind via blood drain and a special ritual-like act. While Shibiri has never done this before, she instinctively has the knowledge to perform the act. In order to create a vampire, Shibiri must first drain all the blood from the victim’s (or more likely, addict’s) body. Shibiri then returns a small amount of the subjects (now immortal) blood to their body, dribbling a few drops into the mouth. After that, it takes some time. The subject’s body goes into painful spasms as its heart tries to pump blood that isn’t there, and the subject eventually dies. Immediately upon dieing, the subject is reborn. They experience an intense feeling of pure ecstasy as their senses are heightened to unnatural levels. This lasts only an instant though, as they are just as quickly overcome with the hunger for blood, and go into their first frenzy. Another effect of the Embrace is that the new vampire is completely enamoured with his/her sire (in this case, Shibiri). This love, while false, is as strong as any real bond. While the new vampire may resent Shibiri (if turned against their will) the false bond is so strong that they would gladly die to protect her. Shibiri can freely release them of this bond, or if the new vampire has enough will they may be able to break free themselves though doing so is extremely difficult.
Weaknesses:
Shibiri, like most vampires, is weak to the sun. ...it kills her. Plain and simple. A stake to the heart does not kill her, but it does paralyze her for as long as it remains in place. She can also be burned, blown up, chopped into little pieces, or a similar fate and usually not come back. The other legends about vampires however are not true for her: she is not repelled by garlic, she can cross water, she can enter churches, and holy symbols only work against her if the person has extreme faith in his/her god. Also, she must feed on the blood of the living. While she can drink the blood of animals, she usually goes after the more nutritious human blood. Different races of blood have different effects on her as well. A highly magical prey's blood might make her abilities stronger than usual, while a drunken victims blood could intoxicate her. Also, Shibiri does not speak. While she can do so, she rarely does. Usually she just chirps, chitters, clicks, or squeaks. These animal-like sounds are not a language, however, and therefore cannot be translated by someone who speaks animal languages, and such an attempt would reveal that its just gibberish. On the rare occasions that Shibiri does speak, she speaks English. Whether or not she knows any other languages is known only to her, if even that.
The Frenzy: This can be both a weakness and a strength. When in a frenzy, Shibiri becomes a mindless animal with only one thing in mind, to kill (or escape, depending on the situation). She pumps blood into all parts of her body, making her incredibly strong, fast, and deadly. Doing this can be harmful to her, but one of the drawbacks to the frenzy is that she loses her ability to think coherently. She just wants to kill. This does have an advantage though. It makes her basically immune to any sort of mind affecting magic, and only the most powerful can overcome the wall of rage (or fear) that fuels the frenzy.
Various things can send her into this state including hunger, bloodlust, fear, anger, or a number of other emotions. One thing is for sure though. When she's in a frenzy, get out of her way.
Other Information: Personality:
At first encounter, Shibiri is very shy. She's like a wild animal with no place to run being confronted by a human who's most likely out to get her. If you manage to sneak up on her, a difficult feat indeed, she'll do anything she can to avoid contact until she can watch you from a safer vantage for a while. Despite her shyness, she is very curious and desires companionship. The life of a vampire is a lonely one, and once she's sure you aren't going to kill her she can be rather friendly. After one gets past the initial shyness, they'll find Shibiri to be like a cute puppy dog. Curious, playful, and always in want of attention.
Shibiri has very little concept of good or evil. She will befriend any who show her kindness, regardless of what they are. She does not realize that many consider her kind and what they do evil, and knows only that it seems like people are always out to get her. She will not hesitate in the least to feed on her prey because she knows that if she does not she will die, and her survival instincts are to strong to let that happen. Shibiri is not uncaring though, and will rarely kill her victims. Whether this is because she feels bad about feeding on them or because she figures they can be fed upon later is another one of those things that is known only to her.
Increasing Abilities: As my RP's with Shibiri progress she will gain more abilities. This is due to the fact that she was originally based off the Vampire: The Masquerade role-playing system, and I still use her character sheet as reference. Each post is basically 1 exp point, and so eventually she will gain new abilities. Any new ability she learns will only pertain to the chat, and to rps joined after the ability is gained (unless the ability is learned in the middle of a thread.)
Pre-Dream History: Before Shibiri came to the dream, before she became a vampire, she lived a normal life in a normal house in a normal town in Michigan. She went to a normal school, got good grades, and was an all around normal girl…
Okay, maybe not. Eliza, Shibiri's real name, was the daughter of a very wealthy businessman in Detroit. She lived in a mansion, went to the finest of schools, and lived the high life every day. She was a cheerleader, a gymnast, and an all around airhead. The most popular girl in school, and daughter of one of the richest men in the state, she drew a lot of attention to herself. Unfortunately, not all of that attention was good attention.
One day on the way home from school Eliza was confronted by a man in his late twenties dressed like somebody from the matrix. He had on black pants, a black shirt, sunglasses, and a trench coat. Eliza, figuring he was just someone coming for a meeting with her father, went on and let him inside. And that was her biggest mistake. The man turned out to be a vampire, and a nasty one at that. He was covered in scales, and one of his eyes had been gouged out long ago. He followed Eliza into the living room where he then grabbed her by the arm, threw her against the wall (and almost through it), and beat her senseless. She tried to run, but he always seemed to be there waiting around the corner. She could barely get two steps and he'd be in front of her, so fast was he. When she could no longer fight back, he ripped her clothing from her body and raped her there in the living room. It ended with him sinking his fangs into her neck and draining all the blood from her body.
When her family returned he was there waiting for them. He tied them up, and murdered them both. Her brother, he tied up next to Eliza to await her waking. It didn't take long. Eliza awoke to the screams of her younger brother, terrified that his sister was dead, and she was filled with the sudden desire to quench her thirst. And so she drank him dry…
For the next two years Eliza stalked the city hunting for blood, sleeping by day. Each time she killed she grew less and less human. She took on feral qualities, and could hardly remember her name. When it got to the point she could no longer recall her life as a mortal she took on a new name, Shibiri. She'd heard it from some kids who were searching for their lost pet, which they never found. One of the children escaped, while the others were drained of their bodily fluids to lie dead in the street. As Shibiri watched the escaping child flee, she finally felt a twinge of guilt for what she had done.
And so she retreated. She left the city and left the state all together, though political boundaries no longer had any meaning to her, and ended up in some forest miles away. There she stayed for a year, hunting only what she needed to survive. She fed on animals and campers alike, but she always left them alive if she could. Unfortunately, this turned out to be not so good a thing. Survivors of her attacks began reporting her presence to the media and police, and soon she was hunted down. She was forced to flee her forest home and ended up in a small city a few miles down the highway. There she was trapped in a small pharmacy and she was gunned down, staked in the heart, then placed in the center of town to await the dawn.
Two hours later she burned, and her world fell into darkness. When she finally awoke, she found herself in a forest. She found herself in the dream.
Dream History:
Since coming to the dream Shibiri has made a few friends, and has started talking a bit more. Irisu was the first to get her to talk, though she hasn't seen her good friend in quite some time. Aside from Irisu, Shibiri has made friends with Bar Gamer, been mind controlled by Amelia, and battled broken sinks along side Alizara. Nothing of much note has happened to her yet though.

A detailed Description for Artists:
Anyone who plans to draw Shibiri should know that I'm going to be very picky. So far only one person has tried... and I didn't like it. But anyway, here is a detailed description of Shibiri.
Firstly, its an attitude thing. Shibiri is not supposed to look cute.. she's supposed to have a morbid, dead look to her. Her skin is pale, and her body is bony. She doesnt have any fat on her at all, so you can easily see her ribcage, and things of that sort. Her fur does lighten this look a bit, but the light brown fur with the pale white background still gives her a dead look.
Her body, while having no fat on it whatsoever, is still very muscular. Not big muscles, but muscle toned. Her muscles are very visible when she's wet, since she's got nothing between them and the skin. Shibiri's fur makes her look to be a bit thicker than she actually is, but she's still clearly skinny and muscular. They are sleek muscles though, not bulgy ones.
Shibiri's eyes are almost always glowing red. She's rarely in a lighted area, but if you draw her in such an area her eyes are light blue. If you do draw her in the light, she should look afraid. Any kind of light scares her. Normally, her expression is a cute one... unless she's hunting. Then its serious.
Shibiri's face is human. She doesnt have an animals nose, mouth, or anything like that. Its a human face. Her ears, however, are squirrel ears. Also, she doesnt have any facial hair. Her teeth are not buckteeth like a squirrel. They are human teeth, with exceptionally long canines.
Shibiri's hair is shoulder length when straight, but unless she's wet its never straight. Her hair is never combed, so its always frizzy and matted. her hair is reddish brown.
Shibiri does not have large breasts, so dont draw her with them. She has B cups. And, for PG13 purposes, her fur is a bit thicker around her... area's.. so that they are hidden enough that people wont complain.
Shibiri's tail is as big as she is. Its a big floofy squirrel tail. Its almost always arced over her back like a normal squirrels tail would be. Its big, floofy, and brown.
Shibiri is almost always in a crouch. She rarely stands on two feet, so unless there's a visible reason she'd be doing so, please dont draw her standing upright. Her body is human, not animal. Her hands are hands, and her feet are feet, not paws. She is not an anthro. She's a human, with a few animal features.
Last thing I want to describe is the pic I'm looking for. Feel free to draw her however you want, but I'm also looking for somebody to draw a certain pic of her:
Shibiri is in a dark alleyway. On the left side of the alley is a nightclub of some sort, and on the right is a large brick building. An apartment building or something. There is a dumpster next to the back exit of the club, and Shibiri is crouched near the dumpster. She's crouched over a corpse, facing toward the viewer so we can see her eyes which are glowing red. The rest of the picture is done in black and white, a pencil sketch type style. The picture should portray the dark side of Shibiri, not the cute side. Shibiri should be the only part of the picture thats done in exquisite detail, the rest should be kind of hazy. Add in whatever you think would add to the mood of the picture...
