Affiliations (family, friends, organizations):
Accessories (weapons, jewelry, tools, magic items, vehicles, etc.):
Pets: N often picks out one of his shop's pieces of merchandise as a pet for awhile. His current selection is a small robot built to resemble a blue whale about the size of guinea pig that floats around the place, whom he has dubbed Mobius. It can be taught pretty complex tricks fairly easily, but is a nonsentient AI, though its self-preservation routines are rather advanced. It can dart around through the air quickly enough, and has a pretty tough outer covering, though it certainly isn't designed to stand up to getting shot at, smashed to bits, etc. Nevertheless, it is well-insulated, and fairly heat resistant to boot. It can only lift things a couple of ounces in weight, though; if you want a rough estimate of how it works, imagine a rather tough and hard to pop robotic balloon that can compress and expand itself to sink and rise.
Abilities/Skills & Power Level:
Despite being a robot, N is not designed for combat, and is actually physically weaker than many humans, and could only lift, oh, about fifty pounds without having to worry about structural damage. While he is built to be reasonably sturdy, he is considerably more fragile than most humans; while his skin is somewhat impact absorbant, someone with a sledgehammer could smash him to bits without too many problems; the only exception would be his 'braincase', which is lined with a rather sturdy alloy. Still, it's only rather sturdy, not invincible by any means. N's speed is somewhat higher than most humans, though he certainly couldn't outrun a modern car.
Additionally, he can process information and think much more quickly than a human can, and combined with his senses and ability to rapidly parse raw data, it gives him superb reflexes, capable of dodging or avoiding most danger with apparent ease; however, this is limited by the speed at which he can move, which, while faster than a human's ordinarily would be, wouldn't allow him to, say, dodge a hail of bullets in a Neo-esque fashion; rather, he would have to get out of the general area said individual was aiming at.
N's artificial senses are far more versatile and sensitive than a human's would be, and while most of the data that is deemed irrelevant is not brought to his artificial consciousness, it remains in his system to be reviewed in detail at any time.
His sight is more or less ordinary in regards to spectrum, though he can focus on objects much farther away than a human could, as well as seeing objects in far more detail than the human eye does.
When it comes to 'hearing', his whole body is more or less an 'ear', capable of sensing vibrations and translating them into sound. Additionally, he can use this feature to form a general idea of how far away a sound is, or even do a limited version of echolocation by tapping his foot, or snapping his fingers repeatedly.
For him, his sense of 'taste' and 'smell' are more or less the same thing; a complex chemical analysis system. It's not entirely a mechanical thing, however, and remains primarily background information; acessible, but it only adds to his personal sensation of taste. As such, he can and does dislike and like various tastes and smells.
N can eat, but it serves him no useful purpose, and the section he stores the food in can only hold so much. Nevertheless, he can and does enjoy eating, but does it far less often than most humans. The same applies to drinking.
N often appears to be able to read minds; the truth of the matter is that he is simply very, very good at reading body language. If a being is completely alien to him, it will certainly take him awhile to be able to discern the tell-tale signs that give him insight into what's going on in their minds, but not nearly as long as it would for most other creatures. He's had experience with reading humans, various types of anthropomorphic creatures, creatures close to humans in appearance, such as elves, gnomes, dwarves, giants, etc, a couple alien races, one or two dragons, the occasional kitsune and other nonhuman spirit, though he doesn't run into them that often...and he finds kitsune in particular quite difficult to read. Some people are more expressive than other people in general, and some people have deceptive body language, so this skill is not necessarily always accurate or complete; he's simply much better at it than most beings. He is aware of this, and thus tends not to flaunt it.
N can speak most common human languages, as well as several nonhuman languages, ranging from one or two alien languages to draconic, several demonic tongues, the language of several subspecies of elves, and many others. The more commonly it is spoken, the more likely it is that he knows it; if he expects that he needs to learn a new language, he'll usually attempt to purchase an appropriate language module and install it after checking it over. If you're the only representative of your species in the Dream, it's quite likely that N won't know the language; if, on the other hand, there's a sizable population in the Dream that speaks a language common to yours, or at least has more or less regular contact with the Dream, he may well know it.
