Along a usually pristine stretch of beach on the eastern coast of the dream, complete with soft lapping waves and a cool ocean breeze, a whispering hum disrupts the peace of the morning. The humming seems to be coming from a very old looking stone archway.
The humming slowly grows louder and louder until it even drowns out the chirping of the birds and crashing of the waves.
First small sparks lick at the edges of the archway. Slowly the sparks grow into strings of energy that snap and whip about until they connect together and begin moving into a swirling motion. After several moments there's a flash and the portal opens.
A bluegrey furre emerges from the portal though she appears very dazed and confused. She looks back and watches as the portal disappears, leaving her alone on the beach.
She looks around, seemingly taking in her surroundings, before she coughs and collapses onto the sand, onto her back. Her breathing is labored and she appears very emaciated. |
